    Of course they manipulate. You just need to look at the names of the websites that get the first search results. The Gruniad went from being a paper in decline that no one read to a consistent first or second search result. Based on rating Fox kills CNN yet you’ll get the CNN version of the story in the first 3 or 4 items and the Fox report is buried on page 2.

    Head over to google trends. Compare Trump and Sanders and Bloomberg.

    Trump by a country mile.

    Bernie crossed over, but only in Vermont.

    Trends has correctly predicted every election result in Australia, UK, Canada and the US since 2008 when they started tracking this stuff.

    No, he’s right. Google doesn’t manipulate elections, just search results – who gets to the top, most specifically.
    But then, that’s like saying the MSM doesn’t manipulate elections either – they just decide what “news” is worthy of your attention at 6PM and what the headlines are in the morning.

    Seemingly nobody other than the front runners want a single owner of all TV, radio and newspapers in any significant area – at least, not in democracies. Same for ISPs, banks and others. But we’re happy with one Google, one Facebook, one Twitter etc being privately owned. We seem happy to allow then to advertise their services as “free”, when they are mining data to pay for it. Essentially, they are “selling” at below cost to keep the competition out of their real business of your personal data!
