  1. “unreasonable” more than “unreasoning” is probably the word I was looking for.

  2. Gab says:

Gillard in hiding today. No wonder she can’t face anyone, what with those disastrous poll results.

  3. C.L. says:

I absolutely support Gillard’s “resolve,” Steve.

She should hold fast to the carbon dioxide tax, not apologise for lying, continue to bash The Rich, continue to bash Da Miners, refuse to re-implement Howard’s Pacific Solution and rely more and more on Wayne Swan.

    Go Julia. You go girl.

  4. Token says:

She is like a rock in a sea of unreasoning electoral and media criticism, isn’t she, CL? Quite a praiseworthy display of resolve and calm.

Good one her Stepford, I do hope Gillard stays on course and the back bench does not roll her.

She should ring Keating and Bligh to reinforce her view that ignoring public sentiment and the will of the former base of the Labor Party is a successful strategy.

    As Tim Blair reports:

As one of Labor’s few alert operatives told The Daily Telegraph’s Laurie Oakes last week about his party’s leadership: “The Labor base is rejecting us, but they seem genuinely to think there is not a problem. If you don’t accept there is a problem, how do you fix it?”

  5. JC says:

Gillard in hiding today. No wonder she can’t face anyone, what with those disastrous poll results.

Anyone recall a few months ago how Stepford was telling us the polls were turning (and how he was in a state of elated excitement in doing so)?

I’m thinking the Slapper will be able to get support down to about 20% primary before she’s finished. I think she’s gunning to 20%.

  6. JamesK says:

David Ignatius one of Wa-Po many resident leberal leftists:

The court can’t stop the health-care revolution

Doctors are becoming salaried, joining the trend pushed by the Cleveland and Mayo clinics and some other top providers. Today, about 60 percent of doctors nationwide are on salary, up about 10 percent from several years ago. Cosgrove predicts that this will rise to at least 70 percent over the next decade.

Salaried doctors won’t have the same economic incentives to provide expensive treatments that may not make sense for patients. They’ll be paid well (an internist at Cleveland Clinic starts at about $120,000), but they won’t receive the stratospheric salaries that once encouraged many a doc to dream of driving a Porsche.

And that’s just one of many big-gov dreamy solutionsns cited.

    Ala Terminator:

Listen, and understand! Leftists are out there!

    They can’t be bargained with.

    They can’t be reasoned with.

They don’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear…. just hatred

And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are a drone like them

  7. dover_beach says:

    faith leaders

    Never heard of them.

  8. C.L. says:

The interesting and amusing thing is that Gillard can’t apologise or change because her number 1 policy is hating Tony Abbott. She can’t possibly be seen to concede that Abbott has been right all along. A more adept operator would have defused Abbott’s critique by gradually adopting his policies on contentious subjects like tha carbon dioxide tax and asylum seekers. But Gillard and her colleagues – as they’ve shown over and over again – are ruled by hatred.

Never-ending, white hot hatred for Tony Abbott and also John Howard. Consider this: nearly 1000 people have drowned because the Federal ALP cannot admit that Howard was right.

That transcends hatred. It’s actually sick.

  9. candy says:

secretly the ALP would like to have kevni back, i can just feel it.

  10. C.L. says:

Hey Candy, great comment earlier on bottoms.

What caused you to weigh in on this important subject?

  11. JC says:

    Candy

You gotta stop this fawning. It’s unhealthy and he’s married.

  12. JamesK says:

That transcends hatred. It’s actually sick.

    Or ‘evil’.

    That’s another apposite term

  13. Gab says:

The great thing is Gillard maintains she doesn’t “run” government by poll. Takes no notice of any polls whatsoever.

We have that going for us at least. Keep ignoring the polls, Jooles.

  14. JamesK says:

    Yeah Candy.

Ur beginning to creep me out.

Besides, he’s an emotionally insecure wantonly destructive twerp.

  15. Viva says:

Interestingly, the late Carl Sagan mounted a case for extraterrestial civilisations similar to Mad Uncle Bob – and mathematically deduced how many are likely to have survived as advanced technological societies instead of “extincting” themselves.

  16. JamesK says:

Too late Viva – see Sinc’s new post.

  17. Tiny Dancer says:

The ALP and the lying slapped are a carbon copy of Bligh and the Qld ALP. Lying, twisting and rewriting history. The are more fucked than fucked. Just like Stevie.

Their heads are so far up their arses, and they have locked themselves into such a predicament that only a back room revolt might get them up to 30% but then they have to admit the obvious and explain the deceit. Fucked either way but more so with the lying slapper

  18. candy says:

“Hey Candy, great comment earlier on bottoms.
What caused you to weigh in on this important subject?”

Ms Greer’s comments started the issue, i was just stating the obvious.

  19. She can’t possibly be seen to concede that Abbott has been right all along.

Mainly because he wasn’t. “Just get the ETS over and done with” used to be his line.

Asylum seekers – the government is not morally responsible for the drownings at sea of people it clearly does not want to come that way. You want you people to take more responsibility in everything, except on matters where you think you can blame a Labor government if they don’t.

  20. JC says:

Mad Dog Bob lifted this theory from something I read once.

The theory is that there are very few advanced civilizations around because nearly all are unable to get around the enormous compound growth rate of energy demand required.

  21. Oh, hi, Tiny Malevolent Dancer.

  22. JC says:

Of course, The Greenslimers and the Liars Party are desperately trying to never put that theory to the test, as they are the first political parties with an anti-electricity policy. They hate it.

  23. JamesK says:

The single greatest problem with Mars has been it’s poor oil reserves JC.

It never really recovered from the disappointment

  24. Tiny Dancer says:

…the government is not morally responsible for the drownings at sea of people it clearly does not want to come that way.

Your stupidity is endless. Get down to centrelink when you have done the ironing

  25. JC says:

    Stepford,

It would be safe to say, Tiny doesn’t like you, yea?

  26. candy says:

Mr Rudd has said he’d reduce the carbon price and revise border security policies as what he’d done before was a mistake. Back as leader the ALP would be completely revitalised and polls way up again,

    blind freddie can see that.
Niki Sawa journalist lady said on Bolt show yesterday the ALP can’t just change the carbon tax, or just the leader, it has to be both.

spot on, she understands the problem, in my opinion.

  27. candy says:

and jamsieK don’t be such a camp follower of jc,

’tis better to think for 1self.

  28. CL and his women’s hip and butt obsession probably spends his time “daggering” at his local RSL on disco nights.

  29. Gab says:

the government is not morally responsible for the drownings at sea of people

What I thought was even more devious was the Malaysain Soultion where people would be sent form here to a fate of whippings, torture and traded on the sex slave market and all paid for by taxpayers for the price of a cool $90 million. That plan had a touch of genius about it.

  30. John Mc says:

Asylum seekers – the government is not morally responsible for the drownings at sea of people it clearly does not want to come that way.

Steve’s an idiot, but that statement is correct. Why should the government be responsible for the actions of foreign people in their own countries, who put themselves at risk by their own hand?

  31. AJ says:

Saw on one these on the road this weekend. It’s the most beautiful car ever made.

I saw the gullwing and I thought it looked kind of ridiculous in real life. It is absolutely tiny. If you have the money get an Aston Martin vantage or vanquish, similar styling but looks like a real car.

  32. JC says:

    Candy;

I agreed with your butt hypothesis. Does that make me your butt camp follower?

    Don’t be an idiot.

Lots of people have noticed this unnatural, unhealthy obsession you have with the disagreeable little turd.
We’re trying to help you overcome it.

  33. C.L. says:

CL and his women’s hip and butt obsession…

Yes, women’s curves are a unique fetish, Steve.

    Very out there.

  34. JC says:

I saw the gullwing and I thought it looked kind of ridiculous in real life. It is absolutely tiny.

No it’s not. It struck me as quite long and stretched particularly the front.

If you have the money get an Aston Martin vantage or vanquish, similar styling but looks like a real car.

    You’re peddling a fucking Ford?

Go away AJ. You have no taste.

  35. Have we done Ross Gittins’ latest contribution on “macro-economic externalities” yet?

Denniss suggests a thought experiment: if all of Australia’s mineral resources were controlled by a monopolist, would it respond to the present exceptionally high world prices by building as many new mines as possible, as quickly as possible?

Would a monopolist bid against itself for scarce labour and infrastructure capacity? Or would it invest in training and infrastructure before it began expanding production?

    The solution:

Denniss’ point is: why should we allow the miners to turn the decision about which mines get built first into a race rather than a ranking? And why should we bear the macro-economic costs generated by the miners’ race to be first out the door with our resources?

He proposes that new mining projects be required to bid at auction for a set number of development permits. This would ensure the most profitable projects proceeded first.

If you don’t like that, he says the same effect could be achieved by removing the mining industry’s subsidies on fuel and alleged research and development spending.

The paper from TAI is here. Quite brazenly it asks, “how fast should the mining construction boom be allowed to develop”?

  36. JamesK says:

Mr Rudd has said he’d reduce the carbon price

He didn’t run on it as a policy alternative for the leadership last month.

    Huge mistake in my view.

  37. John Mc says:

CL and his women’s hip and butt obsession…

Yeah, he’s part of a tiny kink-fetish group, apparently known as ‘heterosexual men’.

  38. JC says:

The git wants a miners panel? God he’s an idiot.

  39. Gab says:

CL and his women’s hip and butt obsession…

No, no. I’m with Steve on this. Far better to have obsessions revolving around buttplugs, girls and horses, airplanes falling from the sky, and possums, just like Steve has.

CL, you and your admiration of the female form is just so sick and twisted.

  40. Gab says:

…and you’d also be better off, like Steve, to focus on matters concerning the penis and semen.

  41. C.L. says:

Why should the government be responsible for the actions of foreign people in their own countries, who put themselves at risk by their own hand?

They’re responsible for a policy demonstrably, quantitatively shown to increase the number of people making that decision. So the choice is between a policy that stopped the boats (and hence saved lives) and a policy that doesn’t stop the boats (and costs lives). To spite John Howard, Labor chooses the latter. The only reason they’re comfortable with the death toll is that, to them, hatred of Howard and Abbott is worth the price.

  42. John Mc says:

Sure, but the reason for the policy is that we don’t want to deal with the problem or expend the public resources cleaning it up. With regards to their welfare it’s all care but no responsibility. Or at least it should be. There’s no reason for guilt on our part if they put themselves at risk.

  43. Oh come on says:

CL: you’re wrong about there being no eastern religions pursuing missionary activities in slums. I personally did a bit of voluntary work in such a place – a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Mongolia that wasn’t a missionary in the catholic sense of the word, but they did missionary-like work ie. feeding the poor of the area, taking in abused women, etc; as well as providing a monastery for Buddhist nuns. I know there are many similar places such as this around Asia. Certainly, Theravada (yellow hat) Buddhists don’t tend to do much “missionary” work because of the nature of their beliefs; however, Mahayana (red hat) do because of the additional compassion angle they hold as part of their concept of karma.

As for Tibet, I’m not saying that pre-Mao Tibet was a paradise, but much of the information regarding that period emanates from the Chinese, and I think you need to be very leery about what they claim about the issue. To say they have an agenda would be the understatement of the decade. Furthermore, I’m not sure that you could say Tibet has been massively better off post-invasion, when you consider the impact that it’s had on Tibetan society and culture. It takes more than a few highways and railways to make up for the depredation of the Cultural Revolution, to give but one example of gross Chinese misrule in Tibet, which to Tibetan religion really was the equivalent of thoroughly sacking the Vatican.

  44. C.L. says:

Having given Libya to al Qaeda, Barack Hussein is not done yet.

He has now given Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood:

The Muslim Brotherhood nominated its chief strategist and financier Khairat el-Shater on Saturday as its candidate to become Egypt’s first president since Hosni Mubarak, breaking a pledge not to seek the top office and a monopoly on power…

Despite the recent anti-American activities in Egypt, the Obama Administration announced in March that it would waive democracy requirements and release $1.5 billion in US aid to the Muslim Brotherhood-dominated government in Egypt.

    Worst president ever.

  45. CL is more upset by this than the Israelis, by the sounds:

Israel’s vice prime minister is playing down the Muslim Brotherhood’s decision to seek the presidency in neighboring Egypt.

Vice Premier Moshe Yaalon says maintaining peace with Israel is in any Egyptian leader’s interest, and that Cairo’s relationship with Washington is linked to the peace deal.

He told Israel Radio on Sunday that “as long as … the Muslim Brotherhood president understands Egypt’s commitments and its interests, that will preserve the peace deal.”

Israel’s 1979 peace agreement with Egypt is a pillar of security for both countries, but Israelis have become increasingly concerned over its future under Egypt’s Islamist-dominated parliament.

As parliament’s largest party, the Brotherhood’s candidate is the front-runner in Egypt’s May presidential elections.

  46. JC says:

    Stepf

Do you realize all your open comments have been devoted to CL today? How pathetic are you?

  47. He asked me a question, JC. I was polite and answered, then made some comments relating to him.

    It’s all very simple, really.

  48. C.L. says:

That’s actually a diplomatic warning, Steve.

“maintaining peace with Israel is in any Egyptian leader’s interest”

    You stunningly dumb doofus.

  49. Denniss argues there is a market failure due to “macro-economic externalities” that justify intervening to slow the expansion of mining activity.

The following sections make the case that there are significant negative macroeconomic externalities associated with the development of mines of the size discussed above, externalities such as inflationary infrastructure bottlenecks, inflationary shortages of skilled labour and rapid exchange rate appreciation, are all likely to be associated with the decisions if individual minerals developments of the scale of the China First mine.

I may need to re-acquaint myself formally with the discipline of economics, this is the first time I have come across the subject. Pecuniary externalities I understand but macro-economic ones are new to me at the moment.

  50. John Mc says:

“maintaining peace with Israel is in any Egyptian leader’s interest”

I love the way the Israeli’s do business. If they drop a little hint like that you’d better listen. Either that or you might find an unexpected Mossad agent in your hotel room or clamping a bomb on your car door.

  51. John Mc says:

    Mark 14:3-9

3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. 4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? 5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. 7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always. 8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. 9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

  55. JC says:

    Hey AJ,

get back here and apologize for your stupid comment.

Is anyone aware of how WWF arrived at the 1B figure having turned their lights off on Saturday night? Fourteen % of the planet population seemed a little optimistic to me.

  60. As entirely expected, Republican choice of election themes, such as the importance of women not having access to contraception in their health insurance, is reflected in polling:

President Obama has opened the first significant lead of the 2012 campaign in the nation’s dozen top battleground states, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, boosted by a huge shift of women to his side.

In the fifth Swing States survey taken since last fall, Obama leads Republican front-runner Mitt Romney 51%-42% among registered voters just a month after the president had trailed him by two percentage points.

The biggest change came among women under 50. In mid-February, just under half of those voters supported Obama. Now more than six in 10 do while Romney’s support among them has dropped by 14 points, to 30%. The president leads him 2-1 in this group.

  61. Perhaps JamesK will drop in to suggest that if Santorum was the candidate, the figures might be different. (They would be, of course: even worse.)

You can tell from the articles they publish and teh comments the moderators choose to accept that the ABC really is a sheltered workshop for those unable to survive in the real world.

Dr Jo Coghlan lectures in politics at the School of Social Sciences and International Studies at the University of New South Wales.

She is a regular writer on human rights issues and is the co-editor of Seeking Refuge: Asylum Seekers and Politics in a Globalising World (Halstead Press, Sydney, 2005).

That transcends hatred. It’s actually sick.

    Well said.

it also reveals their innate, built-in-at-the-DNA level racism, a racism they share with all leftists.

Recall what the amoral and disgusting ‘senator’ hansen-young said when yet another 50 little brown people drowned in the Christmas island shipwreck? ‘Tragedies happen’. And then the media fell silent in complicity with the Green-ALP killings.

What she said in practical terms was ‘Shit happens, and I don’t care, they are just untermenschen and I still feel morally superior!’

The ALP and the Greens have blood on their hands. 1000+ people have died so they can boast to each other about how great a pack of humanitarians they are.

Their parliamentarians and senators bear personal responsibility for 9 deaths each.

  69. Max Scream says:

Labor policy errors are based on not admitting that Howard was wrong.

  70. Elizabeth (Lizzie) B. says:

Yea, Rabz. Today I have verily been part of ‘an ignorant public’. I have so much to do I have ended up doing nothing but making a few phone calls getting other people to do things for me. Just pigged out on the last of the Chrismas cake too. Have barely moved from the sofa. They’d better sic the health police onto me.

  71. Gab says:

    Attention Earthians! Your leader speaks:

The Australian Greens today urged leaders across business and the community who support putting a price on carbon to tackle the climate crisis to have the courage of their convictions and publicly support the reform.

    Stop laughing. They’re serious.

  72. Pedro the Ignorant says:

it also reveals their innate, built-in-at-the-DNA level racism, a racism they share with all leftists.

Your incessant accusations of racism are tiresome, 49.

Tiresome and annoying, in light of your use of the word “Paleosimian” as a slur against Palestinians and your insistence that you should be free to use the word “n*gger” as freely as you wish, since only “bedwetters” would object.

    You are a self-righteous phoney, 49. A real jackass.

  74. Elizabeth (Lizzie) B. says:

The Australian community loves solar power, loves the idea of an electric car fleet, of high speed rail, of a world class public transport system.

And just as Australians love all this, so your leader speaks truly and will lead you into the Promised Land. All pray together, now, to the Great Gaia and her host of Advanced Aliens.

  75. I would add: I find it amusing that the highly emotional and over the top condemnation of Labor and The Left and All That it Stands For and Ever Has Stood For that is routine here from CL, MK50, and (frankly) most others here is also combined (in at least the case of CL and Mk50) with regular condemnations of Labor for “hating” so much.

  76. Les Majesty says:

Also, Iq49, in case you had forgotten we are still waiting for you to apologise for lying about your use of the word “Paleosimian”.

You said that you had never used it as a slur against Palestinians, but the simplest of google searches showed that that was a lie, and that you had regularly used it is as a racial slur.

So apologise for being a lying, racist turd.

  77. Mk50 of Brisbane says:

Les the racist kiddie is awake, I see.

    And still a homonym denier.

    How amusing.

  78. Gab says:

The Australian community loves solar power, loves the idea of an electric car fleet, of high speed rail, of a world class public transport system.

and they are especially thrilled at the prospect of Bob Brown as One World Leader. An Earthian, not so much lacklustre as soporific, he’s a triumph of the middling, a showcase of lunacy. All Hail Bingo Bob.

  79. Mk50 of Brisbane says:

    All Hail Bingo Bungboy Bob.

    FTFY!

  80. Tiny Dancer says:

Back from centrelink a little late Stevie?

  81. Mk50 of Brisbane says:

Why yes, My dear little racistkiddie. As I have clearly demonstrated to you previously, it is perfectly possible to use obnoxious terms in public discourse.

As you are pulling your normal bedwetter routine, I’ll demonstrate it again.

One of my personal heroes is the great Frederick Douglass. Here’s a quote from his autobiography:

“Very soon after I went to live with Mr. and Mrs. Auld, she very kindly commenced to teach me the A, B, C. After I had learned this, she assisted me in learning to spell words of three or four letters. Just at this point of my progress, Mr. Auld found out what was going on, and at once forbade Mrs. Auld to instruct me further, telling her, among other things, that it was unlawful, as well as unsafe, to teach a slave to read. To use his own words, further, he said, “If you give a nigger an inch, he will take an ell. A nigger should know nothing but to obey his master–to do as he is told to do. Learning would ~spoil~ the best nigger in the world. Now,” said he, “if you teach that nigger (speaking of myself) how to read, there would be no keeping him. It would forever unfit him to be a slave. He would at once become unmanageable, and of no value to his master.”

I hold this work in the same very high regard I hold its author, demonstrating as it does the power of the human spirit, and the sheer innate dignity and strength of one of the greatest men of the nineteenth century. Someone who makes that scabrous, squalid little pervert karl marx look like the scungy mongrel he was.

And the odd thing is, you believe that Frederick Douglass is a racist! You have clearly stated this in your hilariously juvenile ‘thought’ that ‘everyone who uses a term I define as racist must be a racist.’

Oh look, racistkiddie, you used that term. You are also the only one pretending that a homonym has only one possible meaning. You view the world through a racial lens and you repeatedly make this plain in your comments here. That’s why and how I realised you were a racist to the bone. Your own actions betrayed you.

Nothing more clearly demonstrates your intellectual vapidity, immaturity and low quality.

And I greatly enjoy watching you dig your self deeper into that hole with every word you write.

    Please carry on.

  82. Elizabeth (Lizzie) B. says:

Love Stevie when he gets all seriously sincere and says “speaking frankly”.

    Who is Frank, Stevie?

  83. Elizabeth (Lizzie) B. says:

Sorry Stevie, being juvenile. You only said ‘frankly’, not ‘speaking frankly’. I still wonder about ‘frankly’ though. An odd word. Always brings Rhett Butler to mind.

It sounds broadly okish, however I disagree with some of it.

Ann Coulter raised a good point on ABC This Week in which she suggested that the “stand your ground’ laws are irrelevant because Zimmerman’s back was on the ground, unable to retreat and therefore makes it a case of self defense rather than SYG.

Still trying to justify a racial killing, JC?

  87. Nothing more clearly demonstrates your intellectual vapidity, immaturity and low quality.

Next up: Mk50 explains why it’s hilarious, pertinent and not juvenile at all that in every comment about Bob Brown his anus must get a mention. Also, that when discussing Marr, “fag” and rumours about his spectacular gay sex life and possible STDs (who knew Mk50 would have his ear close to the ground to Sydney gay community rumours?) got a repeated run yesterday. But that’s all just in good fun when its a gay man who annoys you, I presume.

  88. JC says:

Still trying to justify a racial killing, JC?

Get seriously fucked Bob, you disgusting fat sack of rancid turd.

  89. Mk50 of Brisbane says:

    Les the racistkiddie:

You said that you had never used it as a slur against Palestinians,

Correct. And in weeks of frantic googling, you found not one example, did you?

but the simplest of google searches showed that that was a lie,

Nope, it showed that after all your weeks of googling, you found that on one occasion, while stoushing with one of the worst anti-semites in Australia over his support for Hamas, it was used in a way you could cherrypick. Nice try, homonym denier, but no banana for you!

and that you had regularly used it is as a racial slur.

I love the way you can expand one cherry-pickable example to ‘regular use’.

    It’s called projection, racistkiddie.

Oh, just to twist the knife, racistkiddie: Frederick Douglass was a US Republican. At the 1888 Republican National Convention, Douglass became the first black American to receive a vote for President of the United States in a major party’s roll call vote. At the time, the progressives (Democrats) where organising and running the KKK.

Racism – in progressives, tranzis and leftists it’s innate, a feature, never a bug.

  91. Well, thank you JC. It’s good to see that American Spectator would run someone who said the same as me:

“If I had a son, he would look just like Trayvon Martin.” What’s wrong with that? When President Obama went to Israel he said, “If somebody shot rockets at my house where my two daughters were sleeping at night, I’d do everything in my power to stop them.” Was that introducing sex and religion into international relations? No, he was just empathizing. That’s what Presidents are supposed to do….

Look, just because President Obama says something doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Let’s not be naïve. George Zimmerman introduced race into the incident at the beginning when he decided to follow Martin because of the way he looked. If Martin had been a white preppie in a suit and tie, he never would have given him a second glance.

  96. JC says:

    Stepford

I didn’t say I agreed with all of it. Zimmerman had a decent case to be wary of a black kid as against the suited white man seeing the crime stats are off the charts for that group. Anyone suggesting humans don’t mentally profile are basically leftwing innumerate fuckwits like you of course.

A blond mother with two kids is not as likely to blow up an airplane compared to a middle eastern male for instance. That’s a statistical fact, Henry.

As of the Kenyan suggesting the kid looked like him is strange coming from a president, especially a post-racial one.

  97. Gab says:

  100. I have made no secret of having homosexual relatives and friends in Sydney and elsewhere.

I must have missed that in the middle of some your tedious comments which read more as Right wing attempts at performance art than anything else.

Bobby Brown is despised by conservative homosexuals, and the jokes they tell about the bastard are epic.

And also completely irrelevant to about 95% of issues Brown talks about as a politician.

Do us a favour – try to comment in a normal person’s voice for a while, with consideration for civil discourse in terms of what reads to any reasonable person as racist insults, or juvenile and irrelevant insult to gay men or women.

  101. Max Scream says:

  103. JC says:

  104. Gab says:

Racism was introduced when Odumbo made that racially divisive remark. Zimmerman mentors kids, including blacks. And if Martin was wearing a hoodie and if Zimmerman was following him from behind, then how would Z know he was black in the first instance when he decided to follow him?

  105. JC says:

    AJ:

You said it was tiny and compared to the Aston Martin. No excuses. You were wrong. Apologize.

  106. AJ says:

Fine. I was wrong on the dimensions of the car. I am deeply sorry. However having seen both, the Aston Martin looks awesome and the gullwing looks like the batgirl mobile.

  107. Racism was introduced when Odumbo made that racially divisive remark.

Utterly wrong. The investigation by the Justice Department was already underway when Obama commented.

The social media storm about it being an unarmed black youth who was shot just for looking suspicious (as the earlier version went) had already prompted this.

IPA & Daily Terror embarrass themselves in attack on Tim Flannery:

A strange angle, you’d think, given that more people found Flannery reliable (31%) than unreliable (24%). A killer quote from Melbourne University young Liberal warrior-turned IPA researcher James Paterson was included, criticising Flannery for “regularly making predictions that have turned out to be false”.

Flannery was permitted a short closing response on the need to focus on facts not opinion.

Galaxy also took a different view.

“Opinion on the reliability of Tim Flannery as a source of information about climate change is divided,” Galaxy explained in its “Main Findings” section.

The reason? More people actually found him reliable (31%) than unreliable (24%). A crucial additional fact from the survey went unreported. The greatest number, 45%, were uncommitted.

Galaxy explains: “A sizeable minority (45%) are uncommitted. This will include those not sure how reliable he is as a source of information as well as those who don’t know who he is.”

So, 76% of respondents had either a positive or neutral opinion of Flannery.

Jones’ lede took the minority perspective:

So what you’re saying Steve is that we hate “the left” – meaning the ideas and pathologies of an ideology – and that this is “ironic” given our criticism of the left’s hatred of people.

    How apt for Liar-Steve.

  129. C.L. says:

First NBC was caught lying about that CCTV footage of George Zimmerman and then caught doctoring the police transcript of interview (for which an investigation is now underway).

    Now CBS has beclowned itself.

The Florida funeral director who handled the burial of Trayvon Martin says there were no signs of a scuffle on the dead teen, contradicting the story of the man who claimed he killed Martin during a violent scuffle. Martin died of a gunshot, the only apparent injury says the funeral director.

No no. There is no “contradiction.”

Ace of Spades brings the clue bat.

  130. Token says:

This is Mother Jone’s talking about the Snip & Slime Network Steve links to:

When even Kevin Drum at Mother Jones has to call NBC out over their outrageous editing of George Zimmerman’s 911 call to portray him as racist, you know it’s bad. NBC may try to pass it off as one miscue, or mis-edit, somehow – but many will argue NBC portrayed Zimmerman precisely as they wanted to and they as well as other networks have been doing all along.

    1. Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.

    2. Never go outside the experience of your people.

    3. Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy.

    4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.

    5. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.

    6. A good tactic is one your people enjoy.

    7. A tactic that drags on too long is a drag.

    8. Keep the pressure on.

    9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

    10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.

    11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counter side.

    12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.

    13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize and polarize it.

But Aliyah’s story received very little coverage, despite the event being more recent than the Martin tragedy, and despite the fact that it happened in President Barack Obama’s very own Chicago on a weekend when 49 people were shot and 10 others were killed.

It is calculating and it is dangerous, part of a bigger picture–a multi-faceted war to divide America for the sole purpose of securing Obama’s re-election and subsequent radical social change.

Move 1 Occupy Wall Street: the (self-appointed) 99% versus the 1%

Move 2 Contraceptive/abortifacient mandates: government versus religion

Move 3 Sandra Fluke: women versus conservatives (supposedly)

    And now…

Move 4 Trayvon Martin: black versus “white” (so-called)

This is not complicated. President Obama is organizing. It’s that simple, and it’s straight out of the radical playbook:

“Once you organize people, they’ll keep advancing from issue to issue toward the ultimate objective: people power. We’ll not only give them a cause, we’ll make life goddamn exciting for them again — life instead of existence. We’ll turn them on…” – Saul Alinsky

I hate that all the lies and fake “narratives” being propagated by the the media and the left in general pretty much box me into a corner where I find myself defending someone who sounds like a bit of a jerk and who I probably wouldn’t have much time for in real life.

Honestly, neither one of the actors in this drama (which would have gone unremarked-upon had it been black-on-black or hispanic-on-hispanic) are especially sympathetic or likeable creatures. CL’s ethical response to this is: make up your own narrative from whatever scant evidence you can exaggerate: hence Trayvon was a drug dealer and burglar.

And also: let’s pretend Obama was the one who inflamed this, when he answered a journalist question and said he welcomed the investigations and encouraged Americans to take it seriously, and made a empathetic comment regarding the parents.

Anyway, earlier today I mentioned polling for young women in swing States going strongly to Obama.

With Right wingnuts making ugly and unreasonable attacks on both Obama and the character of the dead unarmed black guy, let’s see how polling goes with blacks for the Republicans…

The first officer to arrive was Timothy Smith. His contemporaneous report states that “Zimmerman stated that he had shot the subject, and he was still armed…. Located on the inside of Zimmerman’s waist band, I removed a black Kel Tek 9mm PF9 semiauto handgun and holster. While I was in such close contact with Zimmerman, I could observe that his back appeared to be wet and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground.

“Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and back of his head.”

Why would the first officer on the scene, before any of this was a “thing,” lie?

  179. Les Majesty says:

I’m curious about the blood drug tests. They seem to be taking a very long time.
    Why would that be?

Oh please, we all know that Breitbart was full of coke when he died. The man was a notorious coke fiend – a degenerate druggie like fatso Limbaugh.

The blood tests are a mere formality, but like you I wonder why they are taking so long.

  180. Infidel Tiger says:

Why would the first officer on the scene, before any of this was a “thing,” lie?

The racist officer was calling Zimmerman a “wetback”.

  181. C.L. says:

CL’s ethical response to this is: make up your own narrative from whatever scant evidence you can exaggerate: hence Trayvon was a drug dealer and burglar.

Not made up and not scant. We have official reports that Trayvon™ was suspended from school after being found with a marijuana bag, a bag filled with women’s jewellery (which he said he was holding for someone – LOL) and a screw-driver. He was searched after he was apprehended vandalising his high school with four letter words. ‘No_Limit_Nigga’ – as the gold-toothed gang member called himself – was also reportedly involved in the bashing of a bus driver (Miami Herald).

You always know when the official lefty narrative is falling apart. Their organs – like NBC, CBS and the New York Times – start lying; then their lies get exposed and the whole concocted panic falls apart. They always walk away – as they have from their formerly beloved Occupy rape and murder movement. Which, by the way, was fully endorsed by Barack Hussein.

Don’t worry JC. I understand the rules.

    When a black man does drugs, it’s a sign he’s a gangbanger.

  187. Winston: I took your 9.55 comment as a simple, dumb comment not requiring a response.

You are completely ill informed if you think climate scientists, or scientists more generally, are undergoing any crisis of confidence that global warming is happening, is likely to be overall harmful, and belief is bolstering that it is in fact already contributing to extreme weather.

The latest example: an extraordinary number of March warm weather records set through much of the US.

La nina appears to have finally gone from the Pacific too, so expect temperatures to increase this year.

  188. JC says:

    Les

    A couple of things…

You seem to delve into what actually happened this evening when we still don’t know the full story. Martin could have actually been defending himself from what he thought may have been an attack. We simply don’t know.

The fact is that the race hucksters have decided to get in on the act, including the US president. He’s nothing but a race huckster and has been found out.

I still don’t understand why you think a person doing recreational drugs is a huge issue and how you can somehow morph that into a comparison with a black gangbanger.

I can’t ever recall making any comments about different racial groups using drugs.

  191. Les Majesty says:

    JC, fuck off.

I have been much less hasty than others to pass judgment. I have said I don’t know what happened.

But it is a fact that Zimmerman had a habit of calling in crap to the cops, that he was driving around with a gat for no good reason, he disregarded an express instruction from the cops and left his car to chase Martin, and he ended up shooting Martin dead.

    Yet he hasn’t been charged.

Most I have said is that this seems to be a very strange state of affairs.

    But hey prosecutions are hard.

I thought that Alabama scuba diver murdered his wife for sure. But he only got a low level manslaughter. So who knows.

  192. Les Majesty says:

Hasn’t this account of events been contradicted by witness statements? For instance, a witness report suggests that in fact Zimmerman was not chasing Martin when confronted, but rather had lost contact with Martin. This was partly corroborated by Zimmerman’s phone conversation with police. The witness then reported seeing Zimmerman approached by Martin and king-hit, and then wrestled on the ground. Whether this is in fact what happened will have to be determined but by why is the disputed report that Les repeats continually reported as if it were a fact? Much of it appears to be nothing more than a concoction of the media.

Reports of suspensions paint more complicated picture of Trayvon Martin.

SANFORD — Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school in October in an incident in which he was found in possession of women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that a schools security staffer described as a “burglary tool,” The Miami Herald has learned.

Trayvon, who claimed that an unnamed friend had given him the jewelry, was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald…

According to the report, on Oct. 21 staffers monitoring a security camera at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School spotted Trayvon and two other students writing “W.T.F.,” an acronym for “What the f—,” on a hallway locker, according to schools police. The security employee, who knew Trayvon, confronted the teen and looked through his bag for the graffiti marker.

Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described the screwdriver as a burglary tool.

Trayvon was asked if the jewelry, which was mostly women’s rings and earrings, belonged to his family or a girlfriend.

“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.

School police impounded the jewelry and sent photos of the items to detectives at Miami-Dade police for further investigation.

“Martin was suspended, warned and dismissed for the graffiti,” according to the report prepared by Miami-Dade Schools Police.

That suspension was followed four months later by another one, in February, in which Trayvon was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it, the boy’s family’s attorney has confirmed. A schools police report obtained by The Miami Herald specifies two items: a bag with marijuana residue and a “marijuana pipe.”

He also had gold teeth (formerly denied by wrongologist and quote doctoring supremo, Mr Snip* – aka Les) and went by the homie handle, ‘No_Limit_Nigga.’

  219. Les Majesty says:

  221. Les Majesty says:

Lol. Iq49 and twoshits are tag-teaming, in flagrant violation of Retardo Liberal’s “no dumbarses” rule.

  222. sdog says:

Where Martin’s behaviour consisted of being a black youth walking home from the store at halftime in a ball game.

If you believe that one, that he just ran up to the local 7-11 during half-time for tea & skittles for his 13-year-old bro, what is your explanation for the fact that no-one in that household even noticed that he was missing until the next day when they were contacted by police?

If I were staying at my sister’s, and I were a stranger to the neighborhood and unfamiliar with the area, and we were all watching the game together and I left during halftime to go get my 12-year-old nephew some skittles & iced tea and hadn’t returned an hour later… and during that time there were sounds of a fight, someone shrieking for help, and gunshots, and an almighty police presence right down the road… and no-one even twigged, “Hey, where’s Spotty?”

Come on. Think about this alleged scenario…

So much about this doesn’t make sense, mate. And the media has already been pinged in their lies several times over.

I’ve already stated that I don’t find Zimmerman an especially sympathetic or appealing person, but that doesn’t mean that no-one is allowed to question #TeamTrayvon’s stories. Don’t abandon common sense just so you can score cheap shots off the Hispanic Democrat. You will probably end up regretting that.

  223. C.L. says:

Helpful jewellery minder Trayvon also seems to have bashed a bus driver and boasted about it online:

Meanwhile, the difference between the typical teenager Martin’s family and supporters say he was and the way he presented himself on social media is the subject of increasing debate.

As Dan Linehan, a blogger at Wagist.com, pointed out, correspondence with Martin on Twitter before he died alludes to an incident with a bus driver. “Yu ain’t tell me you swung on a bus driver,” Martin’s cousin wrote to him on Feb. 21.

  224. Max Scream says:

    Another black killing in California:

A new case of police shooting an unarmed black teenager is underway in Pasadena, California, sparking anger while controversy over the similar killing of Trayvon Martin in Florida still persists.

While Martin was shot dead by a neighborhood watch captain who claimed he was attacked by the teenager, the California case seems to be even more egregious as police shot dead a teenager after receiving erroneous information from a 911 call.

On March 24, 26-year old Oscar Carillo called the police to report that he had just been robbed at gunpoint. The two perpetrators of the crime were said to have taken a laptop and a backpack from Carillo’s car.

Carillo told the dispatcher that both robbers were armed. Shortly afterwards, two police officers reached the two men. One of them opened fire at Kendrec McDade, a 19-year year-old Citrus College student, who started running away when he saw the police car. McDade was said to have moved his hand towards his waistband, which provoked the police officer to shoot; the other officer then also opened fire. The emergency siren was not turned on during the shooting.

McDade was then taken to the Huntington Memorial Hospital where he died from multiple gunshot wounds.

McDade’s supposed accomplice, a 17-year old teenager, was also detained.

It turned out that both teenagers were, in fact, unarmed. Under public pressure to investigate the matter, police called Carillo in for questioning. He admitted that he lied about the fact that McDade and his accomplice were armed in order to get the police to respond more promptly. He was then booked into the city jail on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter, and was being held on a bail of $25,000. Police say his account of the crime, in which he said both men were armed with guns, could have influenced the mindset of the officers sent to arrest the suspects.

McDade was a stand-out football player for the Azusa High School Aztecs and had a room full of trophies. McDade’s 17-year old accomplice had a criminal record of burglary, grand theft and failing to register as a gang member. Police say the accomplice broke into Carillo’s car, while McDade acted as a lookout.

  225. A quite detailed piecing together of what happened that night is to be found at this report. Appears quite balanced and cautious.

  226. Pedro the Ignorant says:

Maybe news to some of the trolls here, but in Florida, as in many places in the US, it is perfectly legal to “drive around with a gat”, provided you are a licensed CCW permit holder. No reason required other than “I feel like it”.

Police cannot give you “express instructions” about anything you are legally entitled to do, and unlike the Statist countries you clowns seem to love so much, the US police are not your masters, they are the people’s servants.

Obviously some of the clowns/trolls commenting on this case have never set foot outside Fitzroy, Balmain, or in SoB’s case, the Pinkenbah sewerage farm.

  232. Max Scream says:

The Florida Legislature approved the CCW laws (and the “stand your ground” clauses, even though they are not relevant in the Martin shooting case) by a majority of votes, and hundreds of thousands of Florida residents are CCW holders and most regularly carry a gun, as they are perfectly entitled to do.

Les thinks they are all “fuckwits”, the poor subservient peasant.

  234. JC says:

A quite detailed piecing together of what happened that night is to be found at this report. Appears quite balanced and cautious.

So on balance it appears both were confused, however Martin was clearly wrong in attacking Zimmerman by attacking him when his back was turned. Zimmerman was not a potential threat to Martin when he turned his back.

It then becomes a question of self defense.

  235. Les Majesty says:

For some reason it makes a lot of Australians uncomfortable that Americans in states like Florida are actually allowed to defend themselves and their property,

Perhaps Z attacked himself while rolling around on the grass.

Actually, it makes a lot of Americans uncomfortable…

    It doesn’t actually.

  246. Lazlo says:
