    A black cape? Muslim superman?

A black robe in the Paramatta Justice Precinct usually implies a Family Court barrister or judge.

Perhaps a Burka, thrown casually about the shoulders.

My impression is that M. Turnbull was involved in this as he would not want anti abortion/Catholic issues around him, as he is the progressive leader, and progressives are Emily’s List and gets a lot of votes for him. He had to ban it, for that reason.

Quite. The optics would be dreadful for him. Can’t have him being labelled an abbott 🙂

We are a tolerant people and we should never surrender that tolerance

The hypocrisy is first class lefty level. Did he have a head tilt when he said that?

  6. C.L.

  7. candy

It took ‘Catholic’ convert Malcolm Turnbull to do that.

Peter Dutton would not have done that without PM’s say so. He always seemed to me to need Tony Abbott to guide him anyway

It’s to get more progressive votes for M.Turnbull. They love him for it. The last thing M. Turnbull would want is for Australia to be seen hosting anti abortionist speaker, it would reflect on his progressive credentials he is establishing all over the place.

TheirABC have twigged, that people are now Googling a man and an issue they hadn’t heard of, until he was thrown out of Australia for daring to speak against Butchering Babies for Bucks, so they remind TheirFascist Thugs to go back stepping up Their Thuggery –

Remember 2013 when there were howls of protest over the Dutch anti Islamist Geert Wilders being allowed entry to Australia to preach racial intolerance.
We debated his views and his events were poorly attended, chaotic debacles.

Now you fucking fascist thugs, you did not debate Wilders’ views, you physically attacked people who still dared to attend his talks, after you went for the venue owners and operators.

It was that slimy Dutton, C.L. About a visa for Geert Wilders.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton yesterday said every person wishing to visit Australia was treated equally when applying for a visa. “There are character checks and a visa is issued according to the law, not emotion,” Mr Dutton said. “We are a tolerant people and we should never surrender that tolerance.

Your absolutely right. Australia has no tolerance for radical fringe parties that’s why they remain on the fringes. But we have even less tolerance for radical fringe jihadists like yourself. According to De Stemming, the monthly political poll of EenVandaag (Dutch public television), conducted by research bureau GfK, the PVV gains seven seats this month and is now virtually the biggest party in the country.

Never before has the party of Geert Wilders had as many seats as this month. Coalition parties VVD and PvdA each lose one seat and respectively have 23 and 11 seats now. As a result, the PVV is now as large as both coalition parties combined.

If we look at the electorate that did not vote PVV last month and does so now, it is clear that the movement in the direction of Wilders’ party has one single cause: the flow of refugees heading for Europe and the Netherlands, and the problems resulting from this.

    ‘IS plant nuclear holocaust’

    RAQQA –
IS terrorists have plans for the “greatest religious cleansing in history ‘by nuclear weapons. That says a German journalist who spent ten days undercover with the terrorist organization.

    Photo: C.Bertelsmann
The 75-year-old Jürgen Todenhöfer, a former MP, has written his experiences in his book Inside IS – 10 Tage im ‘Islami Chen State’. He warns it for a nuclear tsunami on the west and everyone turns against IS.

The journalist believes that the western military is no match for the caliphate, he writes, according to the British newspaper Express. “The power of IS are vastly underestimated,” said Todenhöfer. “They now have an area twice the size of the UK owned and backed by an enormous enthusiasm that I’ve never experienced in a war zone. And every day, sign up hundreds of volunteers from all over the world.”

With gruesome videos of beheadings to sow the terror fear in their enemies. “And that works very well.
Look how easy Mosul was occupied with less than four hundred men,” he says. “These are the cruelest and most dangerous fighters I have ever encountered.”

IS trains children as future terrorists
    Photo:.

    Negotiate
After months of negotiations via Skype Todenhöfer could come last year. He made the trip with his son, who also filmed. The two were accompanied by British terrorist Jihadi John, who became famous for his role in several beheading videos.

Before his departure he made his will. “Of course I saw the horrific beheading videos, and it was my main concern to avoid.”

Critics Todenhöfer could only get so close to IS because of his reputation as a fierce critic of US policy in Iraq and Afghanistan.

SECOND GERMAN WOMAN EVICTED FROM HOME TO MAKE WAY FOR MIGRANTS

    BREITBART LONDON 1 Oct 2015

A German woman has been evicted from her home of 16 years by local authorities in the small town of Eschbach in the South West of the country in order to make room for migrants, N-DE has reported.

Gabrielle Keller is the second woman to be moved to make way for Germany’s self-inflicted invasion of migrants, following the case of Bettina Halbey, a 51-year-old nurse who was shifted from her home in Nieheim in the country’s north.

“I think it’s a scandal to throw tenants out of their apartments,” she said. “I can’t see the sense of it.”

Keller has lived in the same, government-owned, three-story house for 16 years, and brought up her two sons as a single mother in the 90 sq/m apartment. On September 1, she and her neighbours received an eviction notice. In the notice, the local municipality explained that it is going to use the rental house as additional accommodation for refugees because the town’s three shelters have filled up.

    Dear Member,
I write to invite you and your advisors to a Parliamentary Information Session on the Science of Climate Change. At the session leading Australian climate scientists will discuss the impact of Australia’s decision to sign the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the upcoming COP21. There is also an opportunity for you to meet with climate researchers in private briefings, should your diary permit.
    Information Session
    Date: Tuesday 20 October 2015
    Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Venue: Reps Committee Room 1R1, Parliament House, Canberra
    Private Briefings

Date: Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 October 2015
Time and Venue: To be confirmed – please email Ms Anna Moloney to arrange
Supported by The Honourable Greg Hunt MP, Mr Mark Butler MP and Senator Larissa Waters, the lunchtime information session will include presentations from some of Australia’s most eminent climate change researchers based at leading research institutions across the country. You can find short biographies on these scientists in the attached.
There will be a focus on the local, regional and global impacts of climate change (in particular the effects of sea level rise), the economics of reducing Australia’s emissions, and possible mitigation and adaptation measures. In addition, a broader discussion will consider how Australia can address the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and, I hope, provide fruitful information in the lead up to COP21 in Paris in November.
We hope you and your advisors will be able to find time in your busy schedule to attend this information session and/or meet privately with the visiting researchers on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 October to discuss any area of climate science of interest.
To arrange an individual meeting, or for more details about the information session, please contact Ms Anna Moloney, Global Change Institute Communications and Engagement Manager, advising if there are specific climate scientists you would like to attend your private briefing.
We look forward to meeting with you.

Canadian photographer has captured the fighting spirit of premature babies to highlight just how mighty their drive could be during their first days on Earth.

Quebec-based photographer Red Methot has gained worldwide attention for his photo series, Les Premas.

The project comprised of 22 portraits of toddlers, children and adults holding black and white framed photos of their newborn, premature selves.

One little boy — Thomas — was born at just 23 weeks.

PHOTO: Adreanne was born at 32 weeks. She is 26 weeks pregnant at the time the photo was taken. (Red Methot)

The latest Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Mothers and Babies report stated 7.7 per cent of mothers gave birth before 37 weeks gestation in 2012, giving birth to more than 26,000 premature babies.

In August last year, a world first Melbourne study to determine how being born prematurely affected adult life, showed premature babies born at 24 weeks gestation had a 60 per cent chance of survival.

UK teen jailed for ANZAC day terror plot.

London (AFP) – Britain’s youngest person convicted of terrorism was sentenced on Friday to a minimum of five years in jail for plotting an Islamic State-inspired “massacre” on an Anzac Day parade in Australia.

The boy, nicknamed “the terrorist” by his classmates, was ony 14 when he masterminded the plot to behead police officers at a memorial event in Melbourne, from his bedroom in Lancashire, northwest England.

He was handed a life sentence at Manchester Crown Court but may be released after five years under the terms of the ruling.

The teenager, now 15, incited alleged Australian jihadist Sevdet Besim to carry out a “major terrorist plot” which had reached its “late stages” before being thwarted by police, Manchester Crown Court heard.

More erudite Cats then I will probably set me straight, but, in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s, a Soviet officer defected to the West, and wrote a series of books under the pseudonym of “Victor Suvurov.” Might all be pretty dated now, but one of the scenarios sticks in my mind.

“A Soviet battalion commander has three companies in the attack, with a fourth in reserve. One of the companies is holding it’s ground, the second is retreating slowly in the face of overwhelming odds, but the third is advancing slowly, but taking heavy casualties. Where should he commit his reserve company?”

“To the third company. Inconceivable that he make any other choice. Any battalion commander who made any other choice would be lucky not to be sent to a penal battalion.”

Or, in the face of the incidence of ISIS fanaticism, there was an old Russian proverb from before the First World War “It is a wide road that leads to war, and a narrow path home, but Old Mother Russia has plenty of sons.” If I was Vladimir Putin, I’d be broadcasting that over ISIS communication links.

The UN’s sustainable development agenda and the family
The family remains a fundamental agent in all development.

Sound’s comforting … until you you read all the slimy dodging and twisting …

Early this week the United Nations General Assembly, meeting in New York, unanimously endorsed and adopted the the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Unlike the Milennium Deveopment Goals, which have guided international development effort for the past 15 years, Agenda 2030 was hammered out with the input of wide range of institutions and civil society groups.

One of these NGOs is the Madrid based International Federation for Family Development (IFFD) which itself is meeting in Mexico City this month. In the following interview, Ignacio Socías, IFFD director of international relations, talks about the role of the family in sustainable development and to what extent that is recognised in the SDGs.

MercatorNet: You have worked hard to get the role of the family recognised in the Sustainable Development Goals, but the word “family” only appears a few times and then, it seems, incidentally. Are you satisfied with the final result on this point?

Ignacio Socias: I think that the final document, as the result of long negotiations, contains an ambitious but realistic set of goals and targets for the benefit of the whole humanity and our future descendants. …

Of course, consensus always means that not everything that everyone would like to include is there. For instance, we certainly supported a more explicit mention of the importance of families that was suggested and did get into the draft (“one measure of success of the new Agenda will be its ability to strengthen and protect all families”) but wasn’t finally included.

So all in all, I guess we should be satisfied.

Was there much discussion/disagreement about the family as the goals were formulated?

Someone who has been in all the negotiations told me that family has been one of the most prominent topics. No wonder, as family is something we all cherish and sometimes miss if it is not there for us. But, again, we need to understand that the sheer size of the UN creates the need for compromise. It is difficult to reach consensus on the definition of family. …

yeah the whole thing goes on like that; family must be compromised to meet the demands of the UN.

    Pray.

    2 OCTOBER 2015

Let’s get this straight. A man cannot give birth.

Did you know that describing the state of pregnancy as being solely applicable to women is considered offensive? No, dear reader, neither did I, until I read this earnestly written column, stating that transphobia is rampant in the midwifery world.

Up until 2014, the Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA) had, sensibly and reasonably enough, referred to their clients as women and mothers. Then at some point last year, presumably having imbibed the gender theory Kool-Aid at some diversity conference or other, they changed most of the language in their core competency documents to reflect the notion that some transgender, gender queer and intersex individuals may require midwifery care and do not identify as women.

Well I hate to burst your navel-gazing bubbles, but frankly it doesn’t matter if you identify as next-door’s cat. If you are in possession of a uterus which contains a baby, the indisputable truth is that you are a woman. Even if, as in the case of our HuffPo blogger, you chose to call yourself “Trevor MacDonald”.

Indeed, when Mr MacDonald describes his own experience of giving birth as a man, in an attempt to reinforce his point that gender-neutral language is desperately needed, he notes that it was agreed by the head of obstetrics at the local hospital that his situation was “obstetrically normal”. The birth was planned as a natural delivery and the hospital only needed to be consulted in case of the need for an emergency transfer. So this person who was carrying a baby in their womb, one whom they intended to birth through their female sex organs, bristles at the nomenclature of woman?

    Ricardo,

That place looks pretty speccy. Not so speccy was labour camp 3 that we drove past. Half a million male blue collar workers from the third world crammed into an area the size of the ANU campus. Faaaark me. Imagine being I that for 5 years to earn some coin for a better life back home? We truly are lucky in Australia.

I certainly wouldn’t like the idea of numbers, stephan or even you, m0nster, having access to firearms. Steve from Brisbane with a gun…lord knows who he’d visit first. THR – can you say ‘trenchcoat mafia’?

THR was the most passionate supporter of genocide we’ve ever encountered. There was no atrocity he would not justify in the cause of Leftist revolution.

    Hey Fisk

What do you think of Charles Johnson’s blog Gotnews?

  162. Fisky

Never heard of that blog. It’s not by that Little Green Footballs loon is it?

  163. JC

No, it’s nothing to do with those idiots.

I saw the blog today after someone linked to it because it suggested the Seattle killer was a Muslim.

I can’t find the piece, but Johnson wrote an article strongly arguing that the Kenyan has had gay relationships in the past.

    Bullshit.
He was stopped in Memphis or something and told he couldn’t continue to LA.
He told the airport goon that the Australian government had no authority to stop him flying to LA.
That is correct. So correct that they folded.
When he got there, the matter wasn’t raised again.

Bullshit. You are right that he couldn’t be stopped from flying to LAX.

Then what? Then he just strolls onto a plane?? Where TF did he get his boarding pass from? It’s one of the most heavily policed airports on earth. We can be sure he wasn’t given a second boarding pass at Memphis since they knew he didn’t have a visa. So someone at LAX uploaded him on a cancelled visa when he asked for a boarding pass. How?

    In the Sydney Morning Herald:

The teenager shouted religious slogans before firing one shot in the back of the head of a police IT worker as the employee was heading home on Friday afternoon.

Obviously “Our Father, who art in Heaven”…
