A week is a long time in politics

It’s Melbourne Cup day in an American election year but the election is not today. The constitution determined that presidential elections should be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. I don’t know the official reason why but my guess is that back in 1787 they decided not to have the election the day after Hallowe’en so that everyone could spend the day righting their outhouses and cleaning the soap off the windows. But whatever the reason, it has meant that this year there is another week to go.

In my view, had the election been held today, Hillary would have won. The extra week has the potential to reverse this outcome, as the media are forced to report on the corruption and incompetence of Hillary Clinton, as revealed in the emails released. A week from now, it is possible that enough independents, and even some traditional Democrats, will have become sickened at the thought of a Clinton presidency to allow Trump enough of a margin to win in spite of the certain illegality of Democrat election practice.

And the stories provide nothing new, but with the FBI now saying that the investigation into Hillary is open again, attention is being paid. And this is what even the New York Times, Washington Post and ABCBSNBC are being compelled to cover.

LA TIMES TUESDAY: FBI Investigators had planned to conduct new email review over several weeks. It now hopes to complete ‘preliminary assessment’ in coming days, but agency officials have not decided how, or whether, they will disclose results publicly… Developing…

I know enough Democrat voters to appreciate how obnoxiously determined they are to vote for Hillary. We met a woman in a cafe yesterday who decided to join into a conversation I was having with my wife. Her issue. Trump treats women badly. The infuriating reality was that she knew no facts about anything. No facts at all about any of the policy matters that will determine the future of the Western world. We are staring at the fall of the American Republic and she is worried only about the sexual practices of alpha males. No analogy with Bill and Hillary’s enabling would even be entertained. My wife even brought up Bob Hawke and his womanising, but she was determined not to be dissuaded by anything anyone might say.

Yet it really is the policy differences that matter. For a rundown of what those differences are you can go to WHERE CLINTON AND TRUMP STAND – ON EVERY MAJOR ISSUE. Just looking at the list of issues ought to terrify anyone, and then there are Hillary’s policy positions which are inferior to Trump’s in every case.

Ms Clinton is a ‘nasty woman’ surrounded by nasty friends.

  2. This will be new territory for the US. I’m not aware of any constitutional crises arising coincident with the election of the POTUS. Clinton will probably win the election next week – but what happens between then and January 2017 when the official inauguration is due? The FBI clearly believes the emails are significant. What emerges in the next month or so will be fascinating, and probably worse than what we could ever have suspected. If it becomes impossible for the elected nominee to take office – then what?

The welfare state and government funding for every aspect of Cult-Marx nuttery has removed people from contact with reality.

It won’t last, because it can’t last. They only question is how damaging the correction will be, and what society we will end up with on the other side.

The question from the demon in Ghostbusters – ‘Choose the form of your destructor’ – is highly relevant here. Western society has chosen to be destroyed by Cult-Marx social implosion, hyperinflation, brought about by the burden of welfare, fiat currency and unrepayable debt, and islamic invasion. The longer we let this go on, the more likely we are to end up in a place we don’t want to be.

And yet there are people who not only can’t see this, but are actively encouraging it. By heavens, it’s going to be ugly.

  4. The extra week has the potential to reverse this outcome, as the media are forced to report on the corruption and incompetence of Hillary Clinton, as revealed in the emails released.

There will likely be no emails released from the Weiner laptop before the election, because it will take longer than a week to sift through all 650,000 of them (!) and identify if any are not duplicates of emails the FBI already has, and if any are relevant to any other case. Plus, in the current environment, they wouldn’t get released anyway, because the FBI is already facing accusations of illegal tampering with the election as it is.

  5. .

Trump would be a shoe in if many of his supporters weren’t full blown nutters.

Just continue by finding out why all the UN military vehicles are massing on our borders as we speak.

    Oh dear god.

  6. .

because the FBI is already facing accusations of illegal tampering with the election as it is.

    Oh dear god.

So you don’t reckon the lies about Trump or Clinton qualify? You know where witnesses contradict what trump’s “victims” say or the non-existence of “tapes” of “Bill on Jeff’s Island”? Or that nut that keeps on accusing Trump of rape and murder?

I can’t believe how so many people fall for this partisan hack jobbery.

  7. Dr Fred Lenin

Cant understand all this fuss about the Clintons being crooked liars ,we had our first feminazi PM who stole money from Widows and Orphans ,and a psycho case PM whose wife made squillions of taxpayers dollars ,finding jobs that didnt exist for people who didnt want them .You are going to get corruption as long as you have career politicians and absolute corruption if lots of them are failed members of the law trade the modern descendets of defrocked priests .

  8. Craig

That’s the problem Steve, too many people with their head up their a## and are clueless to the reality of a western democracy in decline. Donald Trump may not be the nicest guy going around but he’s the right guy, right now repelling the elite barbarian hoardes who are threatening to burn his castle down.

  9. .

That’s dodgy monty but he wasn’t a US official. Maybe Putin needs to purge his own Foreign Ministry.

  10. C.L.

The important thing is this: Hillary Clinton cannot form an administration and will not be able to govern. A vote for her is a wasted vote. The Chicago Tribune is right: she should drop out.

  11. Anne

Dot’s job, yes it’s a job, is to wave his arms about squeaking, ‘Loopy stuff…You insane conspiracy nutter, Governments have never turned on their people…Hey! Look over here. Do you like magic tricks?’

I would looove to know who signs his paycheck.

  12. .

Sure Anne. You’re a complete and utter lunatic. Up your meds love. Tell us when the “Clinton-Epstein sex tapes” are released. Or maybe you can tell us when the US invades Texas, or when the UN invades the US (the US controls the UN, but anyway…).

The only good thing the fringe right have done is bring up Fraction Magic voting.

  13. C.L.

    Monty’s Slate link:

This spring, a group of computer scientists set out to determine whether hackers were interfering with the Trump campaign. They found something they weren’t expecting.

    Yeah. Nothing.

You have to laugh. Obama sent crates of cash to the Iranians.

  14. What do you mean by not being able to form an administration, CL? And please don’t claim she’s going to be charged, that’s just stupid.

As for not being able to govern, Obama has done some good work in the last six years since losing the House majority.

  15. Stackja

If HRC is incapable then VP takes over.

  16. Roger

…in the current environment, they wouldn’t get released anyway, because the FBI is already facing accusations of illegal tampering with the election as it is.

    Precisely the opposite pertains, monty:

In the current environment, even if Hillary wins, the emails will come out, most likely as part of impeachment proceedings.

Even the Clintons can’t keep a lid on this stuff anymore.

  17. Norman Church

I will hand it to the left. The foot soldiers are loyal and can be relied upon instantly to embrace the latest talking points. For instance, Harry (any lie will do) Reid’s allegation that the FBI is deliberately suppressing evidence that Trump is a Russian stooge. To most sane persons, this outcome would appear to be more than a little unlikely. And the ‘war on women’ meme is a gift that just keeps on giving. It can be rolled out against every conservative politician (left wing males getting a free pass) and the loyal foot soldiers just pile in. Quite impressive.

  18. mh

A famous Warren Buffet quote is: The smarter the journalists are, the better off society is. For to a degree, people read the press to inform themselves – and the better the teacher, the better the student body.

When our leading foreign affairs journalist is Greg Sheridan, the ignorance displayed by the public should hardly be a surprise.

  19. sabena

Assuming Clinton wins this is not going to go away, nor is the FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation. So we are likely to be in a similar situation to the Nixon presidency when the Watergate allegations were raised. That took up a lot of air at the time and the same will likely happen to Clinton, whether or not she avoids Nixon’s fate.

  20. C.L.

    Mother Jones links now, Monty?

  21. You should read it CL, you might learn something.

  22. rebel with cause

the FBI has been informed in no uncertain terms that Putin has spent at least five years cultivating Trump as his compromised puppet

    Hahahahaha

So Putin knew five years ago that Trump was a good chance to become US President? The same Trump that used to be a Democrat donor? The same Trump nobody said would get out of the primaries? The same Trump that was going to cop the greatest electoral flogging ever at the hands of HRC? That Trump?

  23. Further news on Harry Reid being right on the money: the FBI has been informed in no uncertain terms that Putin has spent at least five years cultivating Trump as his compromised puppet.

Yeah because everyone knew five years ago that Trump was going to run. You are one of the biggest gullible wankers on the planet little monstie.

  24. .

So Putin knew five years ago that Trump was a good chance to become US President? The same Trump that used to be a Democrat donor? The same Trump nobody said would get out of the primaries? I’m going to do alright today, Putin gave me a tip on the Cup!

  25. Looks like another big Trump dump is about to hit.

    Liz Mair @LizMair
Fuck it, I’ll just say it. Someone should be digging harder into NDAs that certain women have allegedly signed benefiting Trump.

  26. Anne

You’re a complete and utter lunatic. Up your meds love.

I always have a quiet chuckle to myself when men resort to benevolent condescension.

It’s proof their ego is hurtin’. 😀

  27. rebel with cause

No wonder Trump admires Putin. He sounds like a freaking genius if you believe the loony left.

  28. .

Of course Anne. My ego is hurtin’ because you believe in crazy bullshit. I’m just that caring.

  29. .

    monty

WTF does that Liz Mair tweet mean?

  30. LOL at those who think Trump’s desire to run started only a couple of years ago. He’s been talking about it for decades.

  31. rebel with cause

Looks like another big Trump dump is about to hit.

If you have to give notice that it’s coming, then it’s not. If they had anything interesting on Trump it would be out already.

  32. NDA means non-disclosure agreement. What Mair is saying is that there are a whole lot more Trump sexual assault (or worse) victims out there who signed NDAs, which in some cases may have expired or can be bypassed in other ways.

Hillary Clinton photo illustrates Google results for ‘pathological lying’

Why would anyone want to associate “pathological lying” and Hillary Clinton?

(This person is joking I assume?)

For several hours starting about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, a Google search for the terms “pathological lying” was producing a picture of Mrs. Clinton.

The picture appeared as the illustration for what Google calls a special “featured snippet block” at the top of the page. The snippet quotes from, and includes a link to, the Wikipedia article for “pathological lying.”

By early Monday morning, the image had been removed from the Google search.

  34. Bad Samaritan

When you realize that Putin had Trump pegged as the next POTUS way back when (see Monty’s link), you really do get a taste of how smart that guy is. What hope have any of us against The Puet, eh?

We met a woman in a cafe yesterday who decided to join into a conversation I was having with my wife. Her issue. Trump treats women badly. Exactly rebel.

Like when anonymous trolled the Trumpkins with the “Clinton-Epstein Sex Abuse Island Tapes”.

    Way to miss the point.

It doesn’t matter if they were duplicates. If they were unaware that the emails have also been sent to Wiener*, then that in itself is incriminating.

Why was Clinton or Abedin sending classified emails not only by insecure email, but to someone who clearly was not authorised to see them?

See how that works; it shows Clinton had lost control. And if that pervert has them, who else might have them?

    * If they were aware that Clinton’s classified emails had been sent to Wiener, then how could Comey not have indicted Clinton back in July?

  38. Why was Clinton or Abedin sending classified emails not only by insecure email, but to someone who clearly was not authorised to see them?

See how that works; it shows Clinton had lost control. And if that pervert has them, who else might have them?

We’re not going to know before the election, so Comey should have followed protocol and let the investigation take its course before letting Chaffetz leak it. As it is, he is rightly getting the sword put through him by all sides of politics for disregarding long-standing practice.

  39. jupes

Looks like another big Trump dump is about to hit.

They’re a bit slow. The Clinton / FBI scandal has been running for three days now.

I reckon they have run out of material or only have one more trick up their sleeve which they will release a day or two out from the election.

  40. Roger

I reckon they have run out of material or only have one more trick up their sleeve which they will release a day or two out from the election.

I suspect all they have is Harry Reid and the purported Putin link.

    The stuff of desperation.

  41. JC

    Monster

No one cares anymore. The shock value of famous men hitting on women went away when Clinton was having regular blow jobs in the oval office. Now it’s just bull dyke fems who get all jealous.

STFU and stop acting suddenly prudish, you big idiot.

By the way, if she’s fucking indicted before the election date you owe me two… not one lunch. Two!.

One to square the lunch tab and the other one for the win.

I’ll choke it out of you if you try to renege.

  42. I think the local steak houses are safe from the sight of your feeble attempt at public strangulation, JC.

  43. C.L.

    Sorry, Monty.
Nobody is going to believe another ‘OMG Trump raped a disabled midget!’ story.

  44. jupes

We’re not going to know before the election, so Comey should have followed protocol and let the investigation take its course before letting Chaffetz leak it.

What protocol is that? Comey had to do it for two reasons:

    1. Arse covering. He was biased corrupt not indicting Hillary the first time around so had to keep President Trump off his arse.

    2. He had told the committee that the investigation had concluded. Therefore he had to tell them that it was open again.

As it is, he is rightly getting the sword put through him by all sides of politics for disregarding long-standing practice.

By “long-standing practice” do you mean the practice of compiling evidence then charging the accused? I agree, he should never have disregarded that. Now perhaps he can redeem himself.

  45. struth

Trump would be a shoe in if many of his supporters weren’t full blown nutters.

Go and stand in amongst an Occupy crowd, A “fuck Abbott’ coven, or a meeting of safe school Marxists, environmentalist watermelons and warmists, and , well, look , basically any lefty from Monty to Merkel and try and find sanity.
The right wing have , by far, significantly less nutters than you insinuate.
Not only that, but due to the rabid behaviour of the left, we need our over zealous types.
Whatever anyone thinks of SSR for example, He/she has done more work than most here, and it is wholly better to have these people searching for the story than not.
We cannot come close to fighting the insanity of the left, (for insanity never rests) with out people who are not lethargic arm chair critics.
    God bless them.
We can sort the chalf from the hay, later.

  46. Tel me jupes, if it turns out Trump is actually a Putin puppet and the FBI sat on that information due to election protocols, what does that do to Comey’s arse?

  47. struth

Tel me jupes, if it turns out Trump is actually a Putin puppet and the FBI sat on that information due to election protocols, what does that do to Comey’s arse?

If it turns out that you thought you had a car but you only had a horn, then this hypothetical question from only accusations, would be about as relevant to the debate.

  48. jupes

Trump would be a shoe in if many of his supporters weren’t full blown nutters.

At least none of them advocate open borders so they’re no quite “full blown” in the nuttiness department.

  49. jupes

Tel me jupes, if it turns out Trump is actually a Putin puppet and the FBI sat on that information due to election protocols, what does that do to Comey’s arse?

Probably exactly what is happening to your head right now. Fucking with it.

  50. Yohan

The Nevertrumpers Liz Mair and Rick Wilson have been claiming for a while there is an NDA which shows Trump forced one of his employees to have an abortion.

They see this oppo drop as the key to hurting Trump among evangelicals, and pushing Evan McMullin over the top in Utah.

But a few weeks ago both Mair and Wilson were saying there was a tape of Trump saying ni**er. This was a fake rumour spread by /Pol trolls. It’s possible this is just another fake rumour they have latched onto.

Early voting breakdown shows Trump in a better relative position than Romney – in Florida, Ohio, Michigan and North Carolina. He is doing slightly worse in Nevada.

Independent postal/rep vote is way up on 2012, in some cases 30-40% higher. So whoever wins among independents will have an advantage.

But these postal/pre vote ballot numbers are only party ID breakdown, they tell us nothing about how any of these people are actually voting.

  53. Craig

    Monty,

You want us to take note of a website that promotes the story ‘what to pack for a zombie apaocalyspe’? Seriously dude, you’re certifiable if that’s the shit you read and believe in.

  54. jupes

Oh dear. And the hits just keep on coming.

    From Bolta:

Clinton lies. Her operatives foment violence at rival campaigns. And she cheats, with CNN now firing a commentator, Donna Brazille, for passing on questions to her before a debate. Questions which Clinton accepted, of course.

  55. jupes

It’s hilarious that CNN fired her.

As if they didn’t agree with what she was doing.

  56. Yohan

They only fired her, reluctantly, cos she was caught out.

I’ll believe that if there is a new and proper DNA test that proves his beliefs.

I really don’t know how it could hurt Hillary. She could say he was welcome and she’d have tackled it with no damage at all.

  60. Yohan

Danny Williams is more related to Bill Clinton than Chelsea is.

  61. Bloody hell, now the intel types are speculating about a Trump sex tape from an orgy in Russia, produced by the FSB. Things are getting very loose.

  62. jupes

    Things are getting very loose.

    Indeed.

But enough about the screws in your head …

  63. Yohan

What about hidden tapes of Bill Clinton and underage girls at Epstein’s island in the 90’s?

I mean Bill is only on record of having traveled on Epstien’s plane, registered ‘Lolita Express’, over 26 times. You would think this would be news.

  64. Andrew

Tel me jupes, if it turns out Trump is actually a Putin puppet and the FBI sat on that information due to election protocols, what does that do to Comey’s arse?

If by “puppet” you mean the FBI had evidence that T666 was paid money and promised to promised in a direct quid pro quoto work against the US and A’s interests to favour Russia (i.e. commit treason) then it would be logical for the FBI to entrap him in the act rather than flag some kind of “intent” – at which point he will be impeached, fired, and jailed for life. Hopefully alongside Crimton. Comey would be hailed as the guy that saved the country by catching a crooked POTUS and derailing the greatest threat to national security of all time.

However, what we have here is emails exchanged with a bank, which the FBI looked at and found harmless (not to mention perfectly legal). The probability of an offence of any kind (such as it illegally including classified information) is 0.0000%.

I have links to a Russian bank too. I bought (and traded at a very handy profit) Tinkoff Bank, listed in London. My server traffic increases around reporting season when I read their announcements. This, unlike the sale of 20% of US uranium to Russia after $145m in Crimton Foundation donations, is not illegal and is very unlikely to interest the FBI no matter how many rakes Harry Reid and you want to step on.

  65. C.L.

What next, Trump got a hand-job from Xenia Onatopp in his Lotus submarine?
    ——————
But look. Don’t you love how Obama and Hillary sent a trillion in cash to the Iranians for their nuclear bomb project but profess to be worried about Trump being a puppet of Moscow?

  66. Andrew

The Nevertrumpers Liz Mair and Rick Wilson have been claiming for a while there is an NDA which shows Trump forced one of his employees to have an abortion.

The left LOVES abortions. Every abortion is a beautiful celebration of wymminz’ right to produce and destroy foetii as often as they want after growing them as large as they want. Unless “forced” means “put a bag over her head, loaded her into a van, abducted her, drove her to a secret location, tied her on a gurney with her legs apart, tore off her clothes and forcibly shoved a device into her uterus to remove the foetus I can’t see the big deal.

  67. struth

    Very interesting.
All the left have got after 8 years of their shit pushed down our throats is divisive sexist bullshit.

Once we have had a black president that means they can scream “racist” at their political opposition, they get in a woman (of sorts) so they can scream “sexist”
If Hillary was a midget, there would be left wing midgets everywhere accusing Trump of throwing them without giving them time to put the helmet on.
This is tedious and expected of the left.
    They have nothing.
But they have everything to hide.

  68. .

now the intel types are speculating about a Trump sex tape from an orgy in Russia, produced by the FSB.

Oh god monty. You’re worse than a freeper. You believe everything you read.

  69. For goodness sakes, someone disconnect monty accessing mother jones before he bursts a vessel.

A week left and the DNC script writers are on overtime trying to concoct some plausible dirt.

Meanwhile, Trump is campaigning like a demon on steroids.

  70. Fisky

The important thing is this: Hillary Clinton cannot form an administration and will not be able to govern. A vote for her is a wasted vote. The Chicago Tribune is right: she should drop out.

She has got no hope of passing amnesty in her first 100 days or ever for that matter (assuming she even wins or is allowed to take office).

  71. Fisky

The big issue for Trump at the moment is Colorado. Every other marginal state looks doable and some of them are looking pretty good. But unless something spectacular happens in Penn., he will definitely need to win Colorado in order to make 270.

  72. Fisky

Having said that, a new poll has Trump up in NH, which means he may not have to win NV. But he still needs Colorado.

  73. Yohan

Yes he has looked poor in Colorado, but this has been a state with not much polling going on.

The 2 Breitbart/Gravis Colorado polls (its internals are non biased) had them level at 40/40 early October, and Hillary up 44/39 in mid October.

  74. However, what we have here is emails exchanged with a bank, which the FBI looked at and found harmless (not to mention perfectly legal). The probability of an offence of any kind (such as it illegally including classified information) is 0.0000%.

No, Andrew. The FBI did not make any such finding. The relevant section of the NY Times story which is an obvious leak by the Clinton-hating factions inside the FBI:

F.B.I. officials spent weeks examining computer data showing an odd stream of activity to a Trump Organization server and Alfa Bank. Computer logs obtained by The New York Times show that two servers at Alfa Bank sent more than 2,700 “look-up” messages — a first step for one system’s computers to talk to another — to a Trump-connected server beginning in the spring. But the F.B.I. ultimately concluded that there could be an innocuous explanation, like a marketing email or spam, for the computer contacts.

So they said there could be an innocuous explanation for communication between a server owned by a Russian oligarch’s bank and Trump’s email server which started once he secured the GOP nomination, spiked during the debates and peaked during the Paul Manafort campaign regime… but there could be other explanations. That stinks to high heaven.

  75. Mother Lode

I will hand it to the left. The foot soldiers are loyal and can be relied upon instantly to embrace the latest talking points.

They are berserkers, transported by fury, rage, hate, and an unslakable thirst for the blood of their enemies.

Their heads are filled from ear to ear with noise, tumult and screams so as to drown out even the most innocent self-reflective question.

I work in IT and do server hosting for a living. If the Trump server is a DNS server as they claim, it’s not odd that traffic can come from one location, it all depends on IP traffic routing. I have seen a DNS server in Australia that has 80% of traffic from India, for example.

Trump Organization would have dozens of DNS servers, and they have found one that gets most of it’s traffic from Russia. This is the longest bow drawn to implicate Trump as being in bed with Putin.

  77. Yohan

If you look hard enough you will find US government DNS servers that have most of their traffic from Russia. Is Obama a Kremlin double agent?

Computer logs obtained by The New York Times show that two servers at Alfa Bank sent more than 2,700 “look-up” messages — a first step for one system’s computers to talk to another — to a Trump-connected server beginning in the spring.

Really?!? The NYT was able to obtain logs taken from a private company computer by an FBI investigation. How extraordinary.

Any other private data that the FBI is leaking out to the NYT?

All this talk about Vladimir Vladimirevich Putin making out he is sinister is nonsense . Putin is a typical oractical Russian no bullshit ,no fancy ideas just a pracical man with.a good mind mind you know one of those guys who acrually understands things and gets them done ,an ideal man for intelligence work the KGB had a good ye for talent thats why he was recruited . m0ron, the FBI is not the Federal Bureau for Finding Links to Unpleasant People. They don’t vet your daughter’s new boyfriend, they don’t sit behind radar guns to target speeding. They are a peak law enforcement agency that investigates serious felonies.

Is emailing a bank in Russia a serious felony? If there is prima facie evidence of a serious felony, this should be given to the FBI and they should investigate. Email traffic with the commander of ISIS is serious and should be looked in to, but email traffic with a licensed bank complying with global standards doesn’t seem to be the sort of thing the FBI should be involved in. Especially since it was waved through by the Kenyan at the 2012 debate: “…the 1980s, they’re now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War’s been over for 20 years,” Obama said. Russia was their ally now, he said. So if T666 had been doing his banking with Alfa Bank, how was that different to doing it with RBS, or HSBC, or Westpac?

  82. Fisky

Independent postal/rep vote is way up on 2012, in some cases 30-40% higher.

That’s probably good news for Trump.

It is that stuff in your cells that controls your physical development.

It is made up of 4 main kinds of NRA – F, S, M and E. They stand for Flour (F), Sugar (S), Milk (M) and Eggs (E).

Monty is an augmented human, however, and his NDA contains an extra base: H (for Hole).

It makes him the the donut based life form we know today.

F.B.I. officials spent weeks examining computer data showing an odd stream of activity to a Trump Organization server and Alfa Bank.

Monts, you work in the IT game. You must know that this is truly sound and fury indicating nothing.

  86. Mark from Melbourne

    Update : Well put, Yohan.

It could equally be 2700 emails in the process of being delivered. Or spam, as the FBI apparently put it. Spam from Russia? I know, it does seem horribly unlikely…

  87. Rococo Liberal

I have just trawled through some of the big US and British left-wing sites (i know, but somebody has to do it) and they are all in heavy denial or are pushing the “Trump is the tool of Russia” line whilst ignoring the Clinton problem.
But I do sense a feeling of desperation there. They are whistling in the dark trying to pretend that Clinton is still in with a chance.
None of them ever say how great their candidate is and how her policies will make anything better. It’s all abot how evil Trump is.

  88. Yohan

In North Carolina, absentee returns, compared to same day in 2012 (when Romney won)

    Dems -3.7%
    Reps +5.1%
    Ind +37.3%

But these returns tell us nothing about how these people actually voted.

There is some ‘already voted’ polls from ABC showing Clinton with big leads, but they did not give a party ID breakdown.

  89. Yohan

There is a recent New Mexico poll showing Trump gets 20% of Dems, and Clinton gets 13% of Reps.

If that holds the Dem party ID number advantage is nullified, and this election will be far tighter than anyone realises.

  90. C.L.

You can tell how desperate they are by looking at the NYT main page:
Trump’s Tax Dodge Stretched Law ‘Beyond Recognition’
    That’s their lead ‘story.’
Exactly the same ‘story’ they ran three weeks ago.
Funny, hey? Whenever the Democrat is in trouble, all of the major newspapers turn their guns on the Republican. The funny thing is, they honesty believe this still works as a tactic.
The extra laugh is, they thought all those paid bimbos accusing Trump were the killer blow.
Then this. Now they’ve blown all their bimbos and are resurrecting Russia and taxes.
And nobody cares. It’s just all too obvious. The corruption, the collusion. It’s laughable.
    People are turning to Trump.

  92. Noodles Romanoff

Wonder how the Bernie Sanders supporters feel about Hillary getting debate questions from CNN prior to their debates? So many loose stones in the Democrats presidential campaign foundation. When the rodents exit the foundering water conveyance it’s going to get deliciously ugly.

  93. Noodles;

When the rodents exit the foundering water conveyance it’s going to get deliciously ugly.

I admit that this US election has been one of the most interesting and emotional roller coaster rides I’ve ever seen.
I’m taking the day off to watch the results come in next Tuesday.

  94. Myrddin Seren

I am so old now, I remember a time when m0nty and his comrades would have been cheering for an Order of Lenin to be given to a westerner getting secret messages from Moscow for ‘Other Explanations’.

    Like Lee Rhiannon.

Now m0nty and his comrades want Trump called before the House Un-American Activities Committee and black-listed. The times they are indeed a’changin’.

  95. Computer logs obtained by The New York Times show that two servers at Alfa Bank sent more than 2,700 “look-up” messages

Pardon me? servers at Alfa Bank?

Since when do banks allow access to its servers to the media or anyone else for that matter. Breach of compliance, privacy and security regulations.

Strange how Mack McLarty lifelong friend of Bill Clinton and Whitehouse Chief of Staff under Clinton, who donated millions to the Clinton Foundation has a brother Timothy who advises the Alfa bank owner and board. What a wicked web the Clinton’s weave.

Clinton is underperforming Obama 2012 in 10 of 12 traditional swing states, despite having a larger lead in the popular vote.

Most of those states are doable, but Colorado is a worry at 4.8%.

  97. Fisky

Having said that, the polls in Colorado (spread 4.0% over October) are looking OK for Trump. Moving in the right direction over the past few weeks. If Clinton +1 is really where it’s at now, Trump is in with a real chance. And if he takes that state, he’ll probably win the election.

She’s still ahead in 10 of 12 of those states, with Iowa the only one she’s projected to lose. Plus she’s made the likes of Arizona, Alaska and Texas marginal, not to mention Utah.

Frankly, I don’t care about the presidency horserace, Clinton already has that in the bag. It’s the House and Senate that are still on a knife edge.

  99. To clarify: Hillary is projected to drop Ohio and Iowa but pick up North Carolina, compared to how Obama went.

John Podesta’s Best Friend At The DOJ Will Be In Charge Of The DOJ’s Probe Into Huma Abedin Emails

Now that the FBI has obtained the needed warrant to start poring over the 650,000 or so emails uncovered in Anthony Weiner’s notebook, among which thousands of emails sent from Huma Abedin using Hillary Clinton’s personal server, moments ago the US Justice Department announced it is also joining the probe, and as AP reported moments ago, vowed to dedicate all needed resources to quickly review the over half a million emails in the Clinton case.

In the letter to Congress, the DOJ writes that it “will continue to work closely with the FBI and together, dedicate all necessary resources and take appropriate steps as expeditiously as possible,” assistant attorney General Peter J. Kadzik writes in letters to House and Senate lawmakers.

So far so good, even if one wonders just how active the DOJ will be in a case that has shown an unprecedented schism between the politically influenced Department of Justice and the FBI.

And yet, something felt odd about this.

Kadzik… Kadzik… where have we heard that name?

Oh yes. Recall our post from last week, “Clinton Campaign Chair Had Dinner With Top DOJ Official One Day After Hillary’s Benghazi Hearing” in which we reported that John Podesta had dinner with one of the highest ranked DOJ officials the very day after Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi testimony?

    It was Peter Kadzik.

In other words, the best friend of John Podesta, Clinton’s Campaign char, at the DOJ will be in charge of a probe that could potentially sink Hillary Clinton.

For those who missed it, this is what we reported previously:

The day after Hillary Clinton testified in front of the House Select Committee on Benghazi last October, John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign chairman met for dinner with a small group of well-connected friends, including Peter Kadzik, who is currently a top official at the US Justice Department serving as Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs.

As the Daily Caller noted, the dinner arrangement “is just the latest example of an apparent conflict of interest between the Clinton campaign and the federal agency charged with investigating the former secretary of state’s email practices.” As one former U.S. Attorney tells told the DC, the exchanges are another example of the Clinton campaign’s “cozy relationship” with the Obama Justice Department.

The hacked emails confirm that Podesta and Kadzik were in frequent contact. In one email from January, Kadzik and Podesta, who were classmates at Georgetown Law School in the 1970s, discussed plans to celebrate Podesta’s birthday. And in another sent last May, Kadzik’s son emailed Podesta asking for a job on the Clinton campaign.

“The political appointees in the Obama administration, especially in the Department of Justice, appear to be very partisan in nature and I don’t think had clean hands when it comes to the investigation of the private email server,” says Matthew Whitaker, the executive director of the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, a government watchdog group.

“It’s the kind of thing the American people are frustrated about is that the politically powerful have insider access and have these kind of relationships that ultimately appear to always break to the benefit of Hillary Clinton,” he added, comparing the Podesta-Kadzik meetings to the revelation that Attorney General Loretta Lynch met in private with Bill Clinton at the airport in Phoenix days before the FBI and DOJ investigating Hillary Clinton.

Kadzik’s role at the DOJ, where he started in 2013, is particularly notable Kadzik, as helped spearhead the effort to nominate Lynch, who was heavily criticized for her secret meeting with the former president.

It gets better because, as we further revealed, if there is one person in the DOJ who is John Podesta’s, and thus the Clinton Foundation’s inside man, it is Peter Kadjik.

Kadzik represented Podesta during the Monica Lewinsky investigation. And in the waning days of the Bill Clinton administration, Kadzik lobbied Podesta on behalf of Marc Rich, the fugitive who Bill Clinton controversially pardoned on his last day in office. That history is cited by Podesta in another email hacked from his Gmail account. In a Sept. 2008 email, which the Washington Free Beacon flagged last week, Podesta emailed an Obama campaign official to recommend Kadzik for a supportive role in the campaign. Podesta, who would later head up the Obama White House transition effort, wrote that Kadzik was a “fantastic lawyer” who “kept me out of jail.”

But Kadzik worked on other Clinton email issues in his dealings with Congress. Last November, he denied a request from Republican lawmakers to appoint a special counsel to lead the investigation.

In a Feb. 1, 2016 letter in response to Kadzik, Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis noted that Kadzik had explained “that special counsel may be appointed at the discretion of the Attorney General when an investigation or prosecution by the Department of Justice would create a potential conflict of interest.”

DeSantis, a Republican, suggested that Lynch’s appointment by Bill Clinton in 1999 as U.S. Attorney in New York may be considered a conflict of interest. He also asserted that Obama’s political appointees — a list which includes Kadzik — “are being asked to impartially execute their respective duties as Department of Justice officials that may involve an investigation into the activities of the forerunner for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.”

It is unknown if Kadzik responded to DeSantis’ questions.

Kadzik also testified at a House Oversight Committee hearing last month on the issue of classifications and redactions in the FBI’s files of the Clinton email investigation.

Finally, it is also worth noting that Kadzik’s wife, Amy Weiss, currently at Weiss Public Affairs worked on the 1992 Clinton/Gore Campaign as a Press Secretary, and Communications Director for the Democratic National Committee, and a White House Deputy Assistant to the President/Deputy Press Secretary to President Bill Clinton.

    * * *

And now it seems that Kadzik will be in charge of the DOJ’s “probe” into Huma Abedin’s emails. Which is why we are a little skeptical the DOJ will find “anything” of note.

SHOCK CLAIM: Clintons are a ‘CRIME FAMILY’ as bad as the GAMBINO MOB, ex-FBI chief says

HILLARY and Bill Clinton have sensationally been branded a “crime family” by a former assistant FBI director.

James Kallstrom hit out at the Democratic candidate and her husband during an interview for US radio, in which he compared the Clinton family to notorious criminal mob the Gambinos.

The ex-FBI official, best known for leading the investigation into the explosion of TWA flight 800 in the late 1990s, said: “The Clintons, that’s a crime family, basically.

“It’s like organised crime. I mean the Clinton Foundation is a cesspool.”

The former director, who is a Trump supporter, also criticised the handling of the FBI investigation into the presidential candidate’s emails, claiming it was impeded by Attorney General Loretta Lynch – a Clinton ally.

He said: “The problem here is this investigation was never a real investigation.”

In comments that appear to support Trump’s claim’s that the investigation was “rigged”, Mr Kallstrom said: “That’s the problem. They never had a grand jury empanelled, and the reason they never had a grand jury empanelled, I’m sure, is Loretta Lunch would not go along with that.”

He added: “God forbid we put someone like that in the White House.”

Not really. It’s an alt.right interpretation and largely fiction. We’re talking about David Horowitz here, a reincarnation of Joe McCarthy who has had as many political positions as he has had wives. He’s a bit like Trump in that respect……

Yohan, if you’re an IT expert then please look at this link to Black Box Voting. Someone has cracked how the votes can be rigged through a fraction setting in the machines and this is a demonstration. What do you think?

InfoWars also has an interview with Bev Harris of Black Box Voting where she explains the method.

If this is true, then the only possible defence is endless publicity to ensure that all machine settings are fixed to integer, not fraction. Otherwise, it hardly matters how people vote.
