There is no art which one government sooner learns of another than that of draining money from the pockets of the people.

May not be enough to save Andrews from an appointment with a lamp post, you can dial back state sanctioned child grooming, but the jungle bunnies are rather more difficult to control.

Speaking of fake news, their ABC is always citing “anti-government activist” sources in their reporting on Aleppo.
Such anti-government activists are most likely jihadists or sympathisers.

Given the delightful night life that now exists in Victoriastan, must be time to bring back the ” Run rabbit run ” ads. He he ze he..If there was ever a state that should have DNR as the state motto, Victoria wins it.
Yep I’d rather take on an angry trannie Marxist than a Sudanese with a star picket any day of the week.
Everyone in history is a cryptid. Think about that TP.
When you believe, or have faith in something, is believing the Bible any different from believing a wiki entry?
Nothing before the present is verifiable, it is taken on faith. Science is verifiable because you can hypothesise the outcome of an experiment, set up that experiment (eg adding acid to an alkali – I’m a chemist) then carry out the experiment and verify that the ascertained laws of science are replicable. But you can never do that for history, which as you know the victor always writes.
What a delusional POS:

Don’t think this is over. Vermin like Ross Ward have the Marxist government of Victoria and 60% of the media behind them. But the fatal error of the 21st century totalitarians is they think their snowflakes can win the war with propaganda — without firing a single shot from an actual gun. Big mistake.
A Marxist whingeing about job cuts before Christmas?
But you can never do that for history, which as you know the victor always writes.
Christus Victor!
The Australians are bowling well, but the Pakistani batting is disappointing. They are better than this display.
Considering the Russians are still coming to grips with 80 years of Marxist totalitarianism, how can we expect the House of Saud and people to burst free after the 1744 agreement between the fundies and rulers.
History is a bitch. Let’s hope the depressed oil prices drive them down to green jobs and such…
Oh dear. The Test cricket summer is a laughing stock. James Sutherland’s carpetbaggers are trying to milk the proletariat for hundreds of dollars on warm beer and soggy chips watching a pub team from Abbotobad.
For some reason I have just received a Xmas card from Malcolm and Lucy.
It says down the bottom: “You are receiving this email as a stakeholder identified by the Prime Minister’s Office”.
Well, bugger me. Maybe I’ll print it out and send it back without a stamp. On second thoughts, it’d just be buck out of the taxpayer’s office.
At least the message in the card uses the word “Christmas”.
Hmm.
On Friday – after hearing the news during an end-of-year lunch with histeam – hesaid hewas “shattered” by the government’s decision, insisting that the bringing the program “in-house” was supposed to refer to the establishment of the first Government approved p3ddo-brothels in primary schoolswould do little to end the attacks by critics of using apple-cheeked poppets as live sextoys such as the Australian Christian Lobby or the Murdoch press.
“I don’t think backing down helps, it’s like giving a drop of blood to a bunch of sharks,” Mr Ross Ward said.
“Four people are losing their full time jobs. They have been told they are getting sacked a week before Christmas and thousands of p3ddoes were already planning charter flights to the peoples Democratic republic of Victoria. We’ve spent the last six years sexualising kiddies and grooming apple cheeked poppets with schools in Victoria for the ALP front bench and fat slobbering German p3ddoes, and when I say cheeks I ain’t talking about faces”, a sobbing Ross wailed.
Fixed it.
Good one Roger.
Summarise The Bible in two words: God Wins
Rita Panahi’s article in the Herald-Sun on Desperate Dan’s Marxist state:
Some observations:
– Rita frets towards the end that Victoria may become a national laughing stock. Um, Rita….
– apparently you can now identify as both male and female. Not sure how though.
Complete article pasted as it’s behind the paywall.
WELCOME to Dan Andrews’ Victoria where carjackings, home invasions and assaults soar while the government frets about gendered pronouns and stamping out heteronormative language.
The Inclusive Language Guide perfectly encapsulates the Victorian Government’s ineptness and preoccupation with trivial nonsense while crime, energy prices and the unemployment rate are on the rise.
Meanwhile, NSW has seen a significant fall in the crime rate, despite having lower police numbers per head of population than Victoria, and the state’s unemployment figure sits at 4.9 per cent, compared to Victoria’s 6 per cent.
In Victoria government workers are being discouraged from using gendered pronouns and language and instead encouraged to use gender-neutral terms such as “zie” and “hir”.
Perhaps it’ll be easier if we all called each other “comrade” in Dan’s Victoria?
The Inclusive Language Guide warns:
“It is important to challenge our thinking beyond the binary constructs of male and female.”
“Some people may identify as agender (having no gender), bigender (both a woman and a man) or non-binary (neither woman nor man). There is a diverse range of non-binary gender identities such as gender queer, gender neutral, genderfluid and third gendered.
“It is better to use the word “partner” than wife/husband where the gender, sexual orientation, or relationship status of a person is unknown.”
What ridiculous nonsense.
To try to portray innocuous terms such as ‘he, she, Mr, Mrs, husband and wife’ as offensive is a sign that political correctness has gone too far.
But Victorian Equality Minister Martin Foley was this morning aghast that anyone would dare mock his government’s latest attempts at social engineering.
“We want to make sure that when people use words, that they use words in government activities that don’t make assumptions about people,” he said on 3AW.
Mr Foley explained how it would be “potentially offensive” if someone called a woman a “Mrs” when she may not be married.
“That is what this guide is about, and it specifically makes the judgement call that people from same sex gender diverse backgrounds are disproportionately excluded by any number of measures,” he said.
“It makes sure that the straight community is aware of the diverse needs and the diverse views of our LGBTI rainbow communities.”
But it’s clear that the government is only consulting the most hypersensitive members of the “LGBTI rainbow communities” judging by the number of LGBTQI individuals who have derided the attack against gendered language.
All these measures do is separate us further rather than bring us together as equals.
If we’re not careful the dysfunctional Victorian government’s warped priorities and obsession with identity politics will see us become a national laughing stock.

Anyone else here employ backpackers?
The default tax rate for backpackers is 32.5% from the first dollar.
…….. unless you’re an Approved and Registered “Employer of Backpacker Labour”, then and only then may you tax them at 15%.
It seems many employers are unaware of this – and certainly unaware of the penalties that will apply to those who are employing backpackers on the 1st of January onward and are not a Registered Employer of Backpacker Labour.
People talk about Kevin Rudd being autistic but he’s just a very fussy person, I think. There are people are just fussy and annoying.
Now, Dan Andrews strikes me as being on the autistic spectrum. Flat, expressionless face. Looks disjointed and unco-ordinated. Empty looking eyes. Kind of obsessed about strange things.
I would say he has some degree of autism, nonetheless high functioning.
Sociopath tendencies:
A lack of shame
Constant lying, manipulation, or attempts at isolation
Ability to remain calm, even in extreme circumstances
Charm, intelligence, huge ego, and immaturity
Uncalled for violent behavior
Inability to make eye contact
Sounds like the Ruddster to me.
Number 2 has a dog that loves those squeaky dog toys. Gertrude the chicken is a fave. 25 kilos of revved up canine leaves that chook bereft of a squeak after a few days . Imagine the dog as a major union with a pollie chew toy in its grip.
He is certainly governing in a tone-deaf autistic way.
Not looking good for open borders! Here’s a prediction: no one will be breathing a word of open borders by the time Trump runs for re-election. It will be as anachronistic as attending church every Sunday.
I would say he has some degree of autism, nonetheless high functioning.
Andrews is a high performing pervert, candy. Don’t overthink the obvious.
I do like the way we now routinely diagnose ALP leaders with personality disorders at the Cat. A very positive development. It must become mainstream discourse such that voters will reflexively be debating “is he an Aspie or a psychopath?” whenever a new leader pops up.
Top Ender
Sociopaths don’t abide by social “rules”. Anti-social activities. Kevin Rudd married for long time with a family who love him. You can see he’s not violent. He’s physically meek.
I would say that takes him out of the equation for being a sociopath. Other things yes, but perhaps sociopath and psychopath terms are too freely bandied around? These are serious personality disorders, people who usually end up on the wrong side of law, incarcerated even.
We are going to have to find a way to deport a lot of non-permanent migrants working in soon-to-be-automated jobs, otherwise we will face massive social problems in a few years. That’s reality. Can’t be changed, unfortunately.
I dunno Candy. Look at his hissy fits. I don’t reckon he’s brave enough to be really violent though.
Inside though I reckon he’s a real hater.
Rudd’s an angry coward.
I wonder if that includes the gloriously multi-culti mini cab drivers? There are lots of adjectives to describe them, professional would be well down the list.
I suppose if you can’t afford a black cab you should get the Tube.
While the ALP continues to exist, Peak Stupid is never in danger of being surpassed.
Candy,
Rudd is a full blown narcissist.
Fussy? Bullshit! Pink batts, BER and the NBN fiasco are prime examples of not being too bloody fussy.
His lust for notoriety and power has permanently damaged Australia.
A disgusting turd of a “man”.
Sure it can. Look at the current crop of libs on offer. Until the Liars party increases spending over the current record held by the Libs, Peak Stupid is a title held by the Libs.
So could we please cease all the pointless psychoanalysis of the embarrassing grotesque imbeciles they keep shamelessly foisting on an increasingly credulous electorate?
Surely, there are other things we could be yakking about like, oh I don’t know, m0nty’s special relationship with rakes, dot’s special relationship with the qataris and USRR’s special relationship with the Vogons?
FFS.
JC – I’m so looking forward to Commonwealth government debt finally besting the trillion dollar mark.
This will happen about 18 months (or possibly even less) after the mighty labor and greenfilth coalition are next re-elected, which will be sooner than we think.
Rabbi, don’t you think it strange though that as a nation we put up with someone like Krudd being the PM, doing so much damage, and then getting away with it?
When he is rightly booted from office we pay him a pension; give him an office and staff (Gawd help them!) and allow him to ponce around the country pontificating.
No trial, no penalty for all the damage he did.
Truly this is a wonderful time to be alive.
Fisky
People have been talking about human obsolescence due to machines since the Industrial revolution. Machines complement humans in their work. They don’t replace them.
If you know one statistic 100 years ago, which is that only 3% of the population would be engaged in agriculture in the present day, one would be predicting two things. You would be predicting mass starvation and mass unemployment. That’s the logic of such linearity. Don’t think linearly.
How about this idea? How about 20 hours of flexible work per week and $100,000 as median income?
I just take it as a given that the majority of politicians have some kind of emotional or intellectual impairment.
The future is going to involve tax cuts, mass deportations and Friday night executions in every town square in Australia.
Get excited folks!
I say again… sometimes a fuckwit is just a fuckwit.
Right. Well now we are automating at the tertiary level, which has never happened before. So I think we are in uncharted waters, and it’s not clear how obsolete ideologies will be able to deal with this.
TE – there is nothing strange about it. People who would happily string Ruddles up from the nearest telegraph pole were they presented with the opportunity to do so (NaDT) are an ever dwindling minority in our ever increasingly staggeringly stupid and abominably ignorant electorate.
When people become to stupid too survive, the inevitable occurs. They go the way of the dinosaurs.
They bloody well deserve to.
Maybe we will be able to re-train all of the retrenched Somali taxi drivers in coding at a libertarian vocational college, but I don’t really think it’s likely to happen. The future is mass unemployment, closed borders, and Trumpism.
Rabz
Everything appears to be red ink.
NDIS… frightening $26 billion expected.
Gonsky $ 6 to 8 Billion
NBN $9 billion off the books and $2 billion a year still unaccounted for
Health costs spiraling by $2 billion a year.
The slow economy adding possibly around $4 billion a year in lower tax receipts.
I’d circle this year’s deficit at around $5o billion, or $60 billion if they took the NBN loss on the chin instead of hiding it.
We’re seriously, seriously fucked.
Richard Fernandez makes a good point :
RTWT
Let us, for argument’s sake, agree that the proximate source of conventions of humour, is in the sense of humour of witty and amusing men and women. How do we know that their jokes are funny or not without falling into circularity?
How can we know that a joke is funny without a lot of reasoning and principles to tell us?
Beats me.
Oh Really, it hasn’t, has it. So what’s a computer doing on every desk then?
You’re just putting forward the idea that while AI technology will advance at the rate of knots humans will stay the same.
What would happen if human intelligence went from 100 to say 5000 IQ with the genetic assistance and nano tech gadgetry safely implanted in the brain.
The future belongs to something that’s machine and human.
I am describing what is already happening. The tertiary sector is already retrenching bigly. Whereas you are repeating 19th century ideology. So I don’t think that’s going to get us anywhere.
Hahahahahahaha! Oh yes, that’s our POTUS. Have another toke with the Choom Gang, Barry!
That’s because you don’t have any imagination, no capital and no heart.
Others think and now differently.
Coding will also be done through AI so the need for coders will also drop in the way they do it now.
But here’s the thing…. you can’t predict what humans will want in the future. Maybe there will be a market not just for driverless cars, but also for human drivers in the same way that you can order a basic Uber or a delux version.
If you predicted 40 years ago that there would be lots of ongoing work for personal trainers… people would have thought you were mad.
Yep. This reminds of a very funny scene in Super Troopers where a stoner burger employee is “serving” the really fat stupid cop:
Really fat stupid cop: I’ll have three fat and cholesterol laden McBurgers
McJerb Stoner (over the PA): That’s three fat and cholesterol laden McBurgers (it’s for a cop)
Really fat stupid cop: Did you say it’s for a cop? So you can spit in it?
McJerb Stoner: No, it’s just we really respect cops
Really fat stupid cop: Yeah, sure you do
Now reimagine that scene with a Robocop ordering a McBurger from a McJerb occupying a hole in a wall.
Any grief?
No.
Any humans? Possibly not.
At least there’ll no longer be any frigging moozleys.
You are a strong believer in Merkelism and in the future of mass Muslim immigration to welfare states. That is not what most people would associate with innovation, although IEDs can be quite innovative.
I’m sure there’s retrenchment, just as there is job growth. The job market should be thought of as flows.
Here’s a chart of services sector employment in the US going back to 1940. The slope , other than recessions, is actually steepening. The opposite of what you suggest. Be a little more optimistic, Fisky.

I care about what most people think when they have risked their own capital, of which you have none.
I can see lots of Merkelians have been smoked out in the open. This will be happening more and more as the world turns against them! Not a good time to be Merkelising…
Um?

Thankfully ROSS will put a lot of lawyers out of work. If there is less incentive to have more laws, then perhaps we may not see so much law passed.
I am delighted by your doubling down on Muslim immigration, because it will be great troll fodder in the next few years! More please…
Here’s an example of what I mean.
We seem to think the best, moist expensive Iphone in the world is the Apple, right?
Okay, I know I’ll get naysayers, but generally that’s how it’s regarded. It’s seen as the luxury end of the smart phone business.
But it’s not what wealthy Russians want, nor rich Chinese.
They want this gold plated heap of shit for US$36,960.
Can you fucking believe this?
Artiste
Any comment of the Vertu “Smart phone”? Russians and Chinese love it at 37K!
You are drawing conclusions Fisk that don’t exist in reality.
Technological change will lead to increases for labour demand, which has little to do with my preference for policies which implicitly would see reduced Muslim immigration.
You’re a loon, Fisk.
Yep – the MYEFO should report at least a $40 billion deficit for 2015-16 based on the disastrous figures reported in the last budget, but the real problem, as you’ve pointed out, is that none of this bears any resemblance whatsoever to reality, even coincidentally – which would be the best we can hope for.
If this country’s creditors ever start to call in their debts, it will be lemmings on the loose, living in interesting times by eleventy and much, much more.
What worries me is the seemingly exponentially increasing global epidemic of stupidity that shows no sign of abating.
Fisky
The world is going to continue to globalize whether Alt_Right gamers living in their parents basements love it or not. This is a trend that won’t stop. We may stop Muzzos and other miscreants, but the movement of people and goods and services won’t stop.
It’s a spectrum, just like autism – refer to the Hare checklist for KRudd.

Probably the stupidest product I have ever seen.
I can see more use and would consider you a better class of person if you owned a diamond encrusted solar powered vibrator. .
Every hotel in Vegas has a Vertu store and without doubt everyone in them was from a low rent barbarian culture.
Is there any question that the incoming SLF / CFMEU govt will announce plans for dramatically increased spending in its first day?
Vintage Krudd.
He really hurt the kid. What a loon.
No doubt. None. And when they get turfed out of office the Libs will continue with the same trajectory. No drama there, Andrew.
LOL – there are morons on this planet who would pay $37,000 for this staggeringly ugly, useless piece of garbage?
Yes. Wealthy Russians, Chinese and African monopoly holders. It’s a decent sized market.
Bloody hell – then it needs to be factored into that global tsunami of utterly epic stupidity that’s gathering seemingly unstoppable force.
Blair’s Law.
For those of us wanting to know how to handle their women (apologies female Cats) there is always this:

How about free carried interest? That’s the excuse amec use to call me a developer and charge me squillions for membership.
JC – that is the correct estimate – they’re just bloody hopeless.
Certainly a change from Les Miz.

This is the most bizarre Tucker Carlson interview ever.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ophbx1iaF8
Kurt claims Trump went into a mental institution in 1990, but couldn’t show any evidence to support it.
And it gets worse. After the show the Kurt goes on twitter and attacks Carlson. Then some internet alt-right troll tweets that Kurt could go into a seizure as a result of his behavior.
Kurt’s wife gets on twitter and says she’s calling the police because the troll caused Kurt to actually have a seizure.
When we say leftie heads are exploding. They really are exploding.
Whoa. Way too much information. What is all this stuff?
Going in to hug Hairy. Definitely a he to my she.

I was thinking about this for a while. Please explain…
hey Tel, thanks for that and the earlier link to Nassim Taleb, love your work !
Aren’t almost all of the technology research required to enable these things excepting AI heavily restricted by government if not outright banned?
What if AI alone and specialised machines can do every imaginable task better?
There may be some small roles that human can do better or are viewed more desirable for – enhanced or otherwise (that’s maybe a matter for debate, in Japan they’ve already created robots/AI with the express purpose of interacting with people, no not sexbots but machines advising tourists and customers at train stations and department stores – ie the Pepper robot), but if the labour market is a free market and there’s suddenly a lot less demand for masses of unskilled people what happens to these people?
Retraining is unlikely and welfarism is unsustainable.
It’s not like we’d even need them for cannon fodder or submariners in an event of a war in our drone filled future.
