Trump must have read every document there is about him, so he’s just fucking with them.

It also looks like the Kenyan is letting everyone else take the fall, as any gutless prick would do.

I’m surprised though that Brennan is coming out as aggressively as he is because he’d know Trump is aware of all the classified docs. Why rattle Trump’s chain?

250 overstayers after the Games. Most from Africa but a few from India (and I thought I heard Pakistan).

200 have applied for refugee status and will be allowed to stay for as long as it takes – years probably.

    50 are here and hiding.

When caught, they will be assigned a lawyer to defend their claims. Subsidised by the Australian taxpayer. The govt will undertake prosecution. Paid for by the Australian taxpayer. The whole process could drag on for years and will cost millions.

While out on bail and enjoying themselves in clubs and bars there will be ample time to hook up and get a girlfriend pregnant which will bolster their claim to stay.

As a nation, we are total, blithering, incompetent mugs.

Only white countries behave in this way. Many Asian countries for instance are very strict on visa overstayers and really monitor Africans carefully, kicking them out at the slightest sign of trouble.
The Africans know this and respect it.

Oh, no. There is worse, given desire and opportunity. We know this from experience.

And we know what the highway to hell is paved with, just by another name. Christian charity includes seeing the sin for what it is and pointing to the pathway of redemption. It’s not just about da feelz.

Yes, Trump could have gone nuclear early on but that wouldn’t have the effect of what he is doing now (shutting the Dems up bit by bit). I suspect there are two primary reasons Trump is playing this the way he is.

First, he needs to be seen to be letting the process play out ‘properly’ in the minds of the public, being patient even while he keeps subtly reminding people he could do one hell of a lot more. (“Why doesn’t he just….”)

Second, he’s applying the death of a thousand cuts to the Dems over a long enough period of time that the facts, and the vibe, sinks into most moronic voter. He’s winning on both counts.

As for Brenner, he’s a frightened little man whistling through the graveyard. He’s going to jail and he knows it.

You have forgotten the most important detail JC.
Trump totally believes that Obama was an illegitimate President.
Remember when Hillary and Co leaked the Birther story?
And Sheriff Joe declared the Birth Certificate a forgery after an intensive investigation?
How does this affect every decision made while Barry was in power?
What does this mean for the legal process?

The Trump administration is doubling down on its efforts to undo Obama-era fair-housing policies in the wake of a lawsuit alleging that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development had wrongfully suspended a requirement that communities address barriers to racial integration.

HUD on Friday evening announced that it is withdrawing a computer assessment tool that provides communities with data and maps to help them gauge neighborhood segregation.

The tool, developed during the Obama administration, was meant to help communities comply with a little-enforced provision of the 1968 Fair Housing Act that compelled local governments to use federal dollars to end residential segregation.

Trump must have read every document there is about him, so he’s just fucking with them.

    I agree.
Trump has been given a heads-up on what is lurking within the DoJ/FBI and is biding his time.
He’s possibly waiting for the IG report into the Crimton investigation fuck-up, or maybe for Mueller to totally over-reach in his final report, then dump the documents.

It also looks like the Kenyan is letting everyone else take the fall, as any gutless prick would do.

I’m surprised though that Brennan is coming out as aggressively as he is because he’d know Trump is aware of all the classified docs. Why rattle Trump’s chain?

I think those two statements are related.
Brennan is, of course, a totally unhinged nutter living in a bubble where he believes that the entire population of the US wants Trump hung, drawn and quartered and Brennan is da man to bring him down. Total narcissist used to badgering to get his way.
In addition to that, the fact that Obumbi will do his level best to leave the loyal foot-soldiers swinging in the breeze must be eating Brennan’s guts from the inside out.
When the Susan Rice e-mail to herself on inauguration day saying that Obumbi had asked them to “do it by the book” surfaced earlier this year, that must have given Brennan the shits big-time.
Rice had basically documented that Obumbi didn’t authorise any shenanigans and, if Brennan, Comey and Co had got up to anything, they had gone off reservation.

Italy’s first black minister fears far-right party’s government influence

Italy’s first black cabinet minister has expressed deep concerns about the entry into Italy’s government of the League, as the far-right party and the populist Five Star Movement (M5S) revealed plans for more detention centres to be built across the country.

Cécile Kyenge, who has been a regular target of racial abuse, said the League’s position as a coalition partner in the incoming government made her less hopeful about the possibility of Italy passing immigration reforms or other changes that would ease a path to citizenship for thousands of undocumented minors.

Shocking stats reveal 41% of [email protected] in SA are against children

Some new [email protected] statistics direct from the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, have left the nation feeling even more worried and unsafe. Believe it or not, over 40% of all the [email protected] in South Africa are committed against children.

In a parliamentary reply to a question from the DA, Cele revealed various numbers for child murders and child [email protected] over the last three financial years.

Of the 124 526 total [email protected] cases reported in the last 3 financial years, children were the victims of a sickening 41% of these cases.

In the same time period, 2 600 children were also murdered. That amounts to 5% of the total murder numbers across the country.

“This also means that at least 46 children are [email protected] every day and at least two children are murdered every single day in South Africa. Only 21% of child [email protected] cases and only one in three murder cases resulted in successful convictions,” said Zakhele Mbhele, DA Shadow Minister of Police.

The numbers become even more frightening when you realise that the number of child [email protected] has continually increased over the years.

In 2014/15, there were 15 520 child [email protected] reported. Only 1799 ended up in successful convictions. In 2015/16, 16 389 were reported. Just 2 488 were convicted.

In 2016/17, the numbers rose even further to 19 071. Thankfully, there was a small improvement in convictions; 6 366 were convicted.

“The horrific brutality with which these children were murdered is also frightening. Weapons used, include firearms, axes, spades, pangas, hammers, belts and poison– many of these children were practically butchered to death,” Mbhele said.

“Something is seriously amiss and the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, must take a firm stand against these senseless losses of life and the brutal murders of our children.”

While the overall [email protected] crisis in South Africa has long been well documented, it seems that South Africans had no idea that the problem was so severe amongst children.

Minister Cele has a lot that needs urgent attention; this issue is certainly in that category.

Cardinal Gerhard Müller, the former Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, has given an interview to the Italian journalist Costanza Miriano, who works for the Italian television broadcaster RIA. In this new interview, the German cardinal rejects the notion of “homophobia” and explains that it is an instrument of an ideology that is contrary to reality.

    And a bit further down:

Miriano’s interview with Cardinal Müller comes in the context of his upcoming participation in the presentation of a book about a man who has homosexual inclinations but who resists them, and now describes the ideologization of this problem.

The author’s name is Daniel C. Mattson, and his book’s title is Why I Don’t Call Myself Gay: How I Reclaimed My Sexual Reality and Found Peace. (The book was first published in English by Ignatius Press, in 2017, with a preface by Cardinal Robert Sarah.) Cardinal Müller will present the Italian edition on 25 May in Rome.

Interesting. It’s something I have consistently heard from those who have left the gay lifestyle. The first step towards healing is to stop calling yourself gay and stop thinking of yourself as gay and stop presenting yourself is gay and just accepting yourself as Joe Blow human being.

Zulu Arnhem book, different to Ryan?

Most of what’s written on Arnhem these days differs completely from Cornelius Ryan’s book. “Arnhem 1944” by Marin Middlebrook, “It never Snows in September – the German view of Market Garden” by Robert Kershaw, and “Operation Market Garden – the Legend of the Waal Crossing” all make the same point. The last chances of capturing the bridge at Arnhem were lost at Nijmegen – on the Waal River, because the Americans ignored their orders to capture the bridges “with thunderclap surprise”, and the last chances of success were lost in the two days XXX Corps spent fighting for the vital bridge. Whether the British could have held a sixty mile salient into German occupied territory is another question.

Former staffer of Wollongong MP Noreen Hay found guilty of electoral enrolment fraud

A former staffer of long-time Wollongong MP Noreen Hay has been found guilty of forging electoral roll documents ahead of Ms Hay’s successful re-election to the New South Wales Parliament in 2015.

Susan Maree Greenhalgh was found guilty of five counts of using forged document for public official to accept as genuine.

The offences detail five Wollongong electoral enrolments, including names and addresses, being falsely and dishonestly lodged.

Magistrate Susan McGowan handed down the guilty verdict in Wollongong court on Monday.

Ms Hay, a long-standing Labor MP, held the seat of Wollongong from 2003 to 2016.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) raided Ms Hay’s offices on Crown Street, Wollongong in July 2015 and seized several documents.

The raid was prompted by a referral from the Australian Electoral Commission in December 2014 over enrolment fraud and misconduct.

Greenhalgh was a senior electorate officer of Ms Hay’s for nine years and was charged as a result of the AFP investigation.

Ms Hay, a former union official, was the state Labor Party’s whip until May 2016, but stood aside from the position pending the outcome of the investigation.

She resigned from Parliament in September 2016 and has previously denied all knowledge of electoral fraud.

Then-Opposition leader Luke Foley threatened to resign as leader in May 2016 unless Ms Hay stood down.

The allegations against Ms Greenhalgh caused much division among the party, and Ms Hay did not nominate for the whip position again.

Ms Hay resigned after 13 years in the role, with her resignation believed to be because of health concerns.
At the time she described her service to Wollongong as an honour and a privilege.

Greenhalgh will be sentenced on July 3.

AMP just copped an upgrade from the Morgan Stanley anal syst. While I pay little attention to their bullshit, anal systs upgrades and downgrades are important because the not very smart players generally read them influencing buy/sell decisions.

While there is a lot of risk, this stock is heading to 8 bucks in two years time when I’m well and truly gone looking for the next falling knife.

You should listen to me instead of playing the stubborn doofus all the time.

Deep value: Elevated uncertainty, fear and speculation around the future of AMP’s business model, grandfathered commissions, the Buyer of Last Resort (BoLR) liability and franchise damage from the Royal Commission (RC) seem overdone. Our analysis suggests these risks have been overplayed and progress to address compliance issues unappreciated. Revisiting our Bull, Base and Bear cases show the risk/reward is skewed to the upside. All things being equal, the ~30% fall in AMP’s stock since the CEO’s resignation (26 March) implies a ~75% fall in wealth earnings. Life, Mature, NZ, Bank & AMPCI are largely unaffected.

Resilience will likely surprise: Franchise terms make it tough for planners to leave. So, self-employed (separately branded) planners are likely to go into damage control, reassuring clients and minimising leakage. With ~370 clients/planner, the A$112bn under Advice should be well serviced. Meanwhile, switching costs for competitively tendered corporate super mandates (A$32bn FuA) are high, with pricing and terms clear. These clients are less likely to be reactionary in their decisions, in our view. Nonetheless, we forecast A$1.5bn pa wealth outflows and 4.5% pa fee squeeze for three years.

The entire game is if the mutton head clients stay or leave. I think leaving is far more stickier than what the street believes or thought and it’s far more costly too.

I’ll see y0u higher up and then let me know what your chart tells you. 🙂

‘They deserve no mercy’: Iraq deals briskly with accused ‘women of Isis’
A Baghdad court has sentenced more than 40 foreign women to death after 10-minute hearings

In a small holding room in a Baghdad court, French citizen Djamila Boutoutao cradled her two-year-old daughter and begged for help.

Boutoutao, 29, is accused of being a member of Islamic State. Whispering in her native tongue within earshot of other accused Isis members – all foreigners like her – she said life had become unbearable.

“I’m going mad here,” said Boutoutao, a small bespectacled woman with a deadpan stare. “I’m facing a death sentence or life in prison. No one tells me anything, not the ambassador, not people in prison.”

Guards moved closer as Boutoutao continued. So did her fellow accused – all from central Asia or Turkey, who had all lost husbands and, in some cases, children as the Islamic State collapsed in Iraq last year.

“Don’t let them take my daughter away,” she pleaded. “I am willing to offer money if you can contact my parents. Please get me out of here.”

With that, the short conversation was shut down and Boutoutao returned to a corner, waiting for the judge in the adjoining room to summon her. There were no French officials present, and nothing at all to connect her to her former life in Lille. If convicted of joining the terrorist group, she faces life in a central Baghdad jail, or death by hanging.

RTWT: Sympathy factor somewhere in the negative.

I find this amusing in a dark sort of way. I really don’t know what to make of the Russians. On the one hand I do admire their toughness etc. On the other you feel like sometimes choking them all to death.

Very, very short history of how the rich got rich in Russia after the wall.

How the Russian oligarchs came into being is actually very simple. Under Gorbachev the Russian State Owned Enterprises that, because they were part of a planned economy were effectively monopolies, were broken up. This was done by breaking the integration apart, and then giving the workers in each of the resulting chunks ownership (via so called voucher privatizations).

The Oligarchs seized the moment early on when people still did not know what they had received was worth. The future Oligarchs leveraged themselves as much as possible and for minuscule amounts of money, bought the vouchers from the workers, consolidating ownership control. Many, many uniquely Russian tactics of the period later (including but not limited to: uncontested dilution after locking shareholders out of the meetings that effected the changes at gunpoint, illegal ownership transfers, and more than the odd murder), the old monopolies were effectively re-established in many industries, now worth many many multiples of the purchase price. Of course some blood had been spilled, assets stolen, and people strong-armed out, but business is business right?

Russia – a place like no other!

If we’re all to be denounced as some form of knitwear, I would henceforth like to be characterised as a natty red beret.

Range candidate Colleen Yates after qualification claim comes under scrutiny

The Labor Party has already been forced to defend its candidate in the upcoming by-election for the seat of Darling Range, after a claim made through her Linkedin account came under scrutiny.

Colleen Yates, who hopes to win back the seat for Labor following Barry Urban’s fake medal and qualifications scandal, had entered the letters “MBA” under the education category of her biography.

But Labor has conceded Ms Yates was yet to obtain a Master of Business Administration from the University Of WA, although she was in the process of completing the degree.

“Colleen Yates has completed a graduate certificate of business from UWA, which was awarded on February 26,” a Labor statement read.

Ms Yates did not make the claim of having an MBA in her application to become Labor’s candidate.

“Colleen completed a Certificate of Business in order move into the UWA MBA Program,” the statement said.

“She plans to do this course have obviously been put on hold due to her decision to contest the Darling Range by-election. Colleen Yates has not made any misrepresentations to WA Labor.”

Mr Urban resigned from the Labor Party and then the Parliament after his academic qualifications and a police medal he claimed he was awarded turned out to be fake.

South Africa land grabs without compensation gathers pace.

Here in zimbostralia, their zimboleft have grabbed control of land without compensation by creating the social licence to control land use and granting it to themselves.

Land occupiers in australia now have to pay huge council rate taxes on capital, huge State water cartel taxes on capital and roll over and grovel for hordes of State commissars that inspect private property for the States satisfaction.

Added to this is that any scumbag can claim the social licence to control vast stretches of country, because of her feelings.

South Africa’s corruptocracy is at least upfront and honest about their grasping, the needy and the whining and the aggrieved of Australia cant even be honest crooks.

    Comrades.

The gravatar guys aren’t keeping up. When are we going to get dynamic gif gravatars that move? Beer whisperers should give a long, audible burp. DBs should wag a finger and stare hypnotically. Calli’s should give a cheerful wink.

Thuringia’s migration ministry has announced that from June 1, illegal immigrants who fall victim to “right-wing violence” in the German state will be given residence permits on “humanitarian” grounds.

Wow. Are they completely clueless that people lie? The future ids looking very dim indeed when those in charge make decisions based on emotions and “but what would the media say?”
