Either a terrible error in timing, or he knows that publication of the technical details of Mizz Stormy’s romp with Trump isn’t going to generate as much interest as widely hoped.

Steve Bannon ‘planning foundation’ to boost far right in Europe
The ex-head of right-wing website Breitbart News told the Daily Beast on Friday that his organisation, called The Movement, will be a central source of polling, advice on messaging, data targeting and think-tank research for various nationalist parties in Europe.
“Right-wing populist nationalism is what will happen. That’s what will govern,” he said. “You’re going to have individual nation states with their own identities, their own borders.”
It also leaves open many lucrative positions, outside of government (defence contractors, think tanks, etc), which require high level security clearances.
Revoke their security clearances and watch the prospects for the afterlife shrink considerably.
Just to get this right. Does a security clearance mean these former employees can obtain state secrets at their clearance level or does it mean something else.

Latinos aren’t reaching top military positions, study shows
Hispanics have failed to reach top leadership positions in the military even as Latino participation in the armed forces overall has remained on par with the group’s demographic growth, a study shows.
The study by Casaba Group, a Hispanic veterans organization, showed that between 1995 and 2016, only one Latino had become a three-star general, even as the number of active-duty Hispanic officers more than doubled, from 6,117 to 15,033, during that period
Out of 45 civilians with the top Defense Department pay grade, only one is Hispanic, according to the study.
Dead bodies, wild dogs, squatters in government-owned Detroit houses
At one end of Alpine Street, near Joy Road on Detroit’s west side, Georgeia Elder and a friend live in a leaky trailer, their yard cluttered with a boat and a Cadillac Escalade with four ladders on the roof, a shopping cart and a lawn mower, a folding chair and a metal headboard. A pit bull, Lady, laps up spaghetti and gravy from a takeout container.
At the other end of this short stretch of Alpine, near Tireman Avenue, a woman known as Spankie lives in a house with a dog she calls “my baby.” A heart-shaped sign hangs from the front door that says “Bless Our Home.” A handwritten sign instructs the postal carrier to put her mail in a box tucked into a milk crate next to the porch stairs. A scent of straw and animals hangs in the air.
These occupants don’t own the properties where they live. They’re not paying rent to the owner either. Their homes on Alpine Street, a Free Press analysis shows, bookend one of the City of Detroit’s highest concentrations of squatters, people who live in homes owned by the Detroit Land Bank Authority.
There are as many as 4,300 houses just like these across the city.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is getting a reboot with a black woman in the lead role
It’s been 21 years since Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer first arrived on the scene with its seminal mix of urban fantasy, teen angst, and clever worldbuilding and wordplay. Now, Whedon has announced that he will revive his beloved series for a new generation of Slayers — with one major twist.
Working with 20th Century Fox TV through its cable and streaming development arm, Fox 21 TV Studios, Whedon will produce an “inclusive” reboot of Buffy starring a black woman in the iconic title role originally played by Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Having a clearance and having access are different things, JC.
You’ve got to be in a position to obtain current information regardless of clearance. It doesn’t automatically give you access to government facilities or computer systems.
If people know you are still cleared, they might be a little looser with the lips…but they shouldn’t be.

Having a clearance and having access are different things, JC.
Great answer, thanks Mater.
And good question JC.
Calli: “She is opting out. The only benefit she sees is if you’re far from home (say on hols) with no ID and unable to communicate they’ll know what drugs to pump into you.”
If you don’t have ID they don’t know who you are so they can’t look up your records.
If you have a condition requiring special consideration you need to carry ID at all times. If you do that you may as well have a card in your wallet next to your driver’s licence, detailing the condition. eHealth record not required.
Or, given the amount of ink on skin nowadays, a tattooed bar chart with a code for the condition.
Zuckerberg smote Rubens.
So it really disgusts me to hear that the culturally illiterate weasels over at Facebook, bred on a diet of comics, videogames, and Britney Spears pop videos, are making a hash of things by imagining that the Rubens images of the human body, the nude figures, in the masterpieces worth hundreds of millions on the market, are somehow obscene.
I hate the msm. Agriculture is at worse CO2 neutral, more likely a sink because established low CO2 absorbing plants are replaced with quick growing CO2 gobbling crops. These fools with their insulated highly technological lifestyles will lose verything if they have their way about alarmism and renewables.
‘Does a security clearance mean these former employees can obtain state secrets at their clearance level or does it mean something else.’
In the US it means that the holders can only access information on a need to know basis as determined by the agency with regard to Executive Order 13526 [2009]. If the agency determines they do not have a need to know they don’t get it.

Mater,
Can you give a few examples what these clearances allow.
Quebec launching s3x-ed program for daycares
S3x ed is coming to daycares in Quebec under a pilot program for children less than five years old – and some of the province’s Catholic parents are sounding the alarm.
“They want to have a program to start as early as they can for the propaganda and brainwashing,” said Gina Petrozza, member of the Catholic Parents Association of Quebec.
The s3x ed program for daycares, which is being managed by the Marie-Vincent Foundation, is to be launched this autumn in the Montreal area and involve roughly 1,200 children.
Véronique Sansregret, that foundations’ director of philanthropic development, said the program will offer education on s3xuality and equality between boys and girls.
“The content of the program will foster the ability to protect oneself,” said Sanregret in French. “There is no s3xuality as such.”
The specific content of the s3x ed program, however, is still being kept under wraps.
There are reportedly two books for three to five-year-olds that explore the idea of equality between boys and girls and the need to respect everyone’s personal space.
There is also reportedly another book for children two-years-old and younger that delivers the message that both boys and girls can get scared, cry or play any games they want.
The safety part of the program involves teaching children that no-one, no adult, has the right to touch a child’s private parts and say it’s just a game.
“It seems innocuous but, because we have a reform here, the teacher can come in and take it further,” said Petrozza. “This is a loose kind of structure that the government provides and they can then make it whatever they want.”
Young children in Quebec’s elementary schools are already being indoctrinated to gender theory and told that all families, including same-s3x families, are the same, said Petrozza.
Instruction on reproduction, which places all the emphasis on the mechanics of the sperm fertilizing ovum, already strips away the emotional human aspects of having children and robs students in Quebec classrooms, she said.
“They don’t talk about love,” said Petrozza. “It’s cold.”
In Ontario, Premier Doug Ford has pledged to repeal the former government’s s3x ed curriculum, much to the dismay of LGBTQ activists and the pleasure of traditional parents.
In Quebec, though, pro-family groups are finding it to be an uphill battle to galvanize public support for their cause.
“We live in a crazy world where parents need to have two incomes and need to put children in daycares and we’re getting a bit too comfortable with the state taking care of our children,” said Petrozza.
With the provincial government opening the door to s3x ed in daycares, she said parents need to realize the real goal of these programs is to indoctrinate children into a state-approved morality.
It is the parents’ job to teach their own children about morality and values and not the state, she said.
“Parents need to wake up and become the first educators of their children,” said Petrozza. “Stop giving a blank cheque to the government when it comes to the LGBT-driven agenda … and such delicate things as s3xual education and values and morals.”
A factional rival to Plibbers, apparently.

Makka, you are confusing clearance with access.
She can have a Top Secret SCI clearance, but if she don’t have access she is waiting outside while the big kids get their briefs.
Also, the higher you get into the classified realm the more compartmentalized the information is so having some sort of carte blanche “I can look at anything” just isn’t so. You may be able to see the file on X but you won’t even know for sure that a file on Y exists because you have no access.
That is assuming that people are enforcing the rules. I can’t speak to what someone may be illegally allowing her to see and we know she is a flagrant violator of the information security regs. But officially she gets to see what the current govt wants to let her see.
Their pumped snowy scheme makes sense, once we realise they have signed away Australian use of the flow of the Snowy for electricity generation.

The smiley face reveals the prize
JC,
It means they/he/she can be employed in a role/job that requires that level of security clearance. If employed in that role, they/he/she can access the classified information that is required for that role/job.
Think of an unemployed Daycare worker who has successfully undergone a ‘Working With Children’ check. They have been cleared by the authorities to have access to kids, but that doesn’t mean they can just roll up to any Daycare Centre and start playing with the kids.
They have to be employed in a role which grants them a log on and a security pass and even then, most information is compartmentalised (accessible only by people who have a need to see it).

Just been listening to A.Bolt spending his second night throwing negative comments about One Nation. I hope he spends the next couple of nights letting us know what a disaster a Labor win would be at the weekend. He is always spouting about fairness.

Tony is a great guy but was a poor PM. He let an unelected banshee and the likes of Pyne and Brandis run the show.
Shorten has been on borrowed time since Labor Left regained control of the party over Labor Right, as evidenced by the election of Wayne Swan as Labor Party President on a Labor Left ticket, despite allegedly or formerly being part of Labor Right.

Amazing piece on The Project regarding leftist Trevor Noah’s mockery of ugly Aboriginal women and their didge-oral skills. NDIS with make the Day Care scam look like child’s play.
Announcing the 100-member flying squad on Tuesday, Social Services Minister Dan Tehan said: “We are putting criminals on notice. You come after the NDIS and we will come after you”.
The tough talking Tehan, as if to amplify the odium of such a crime, said anybody who defrauded the NDIS was “taking money from Australians with a disability”.
“The NDIS will only succeed with the support of the Australian people who fund it, and the NDIS fraud taskforce will help give people confidence their money is well spent,” Tehan said.
The government spent $8 billion on the NDIS last year and this figure would grow to $22 billion per annum by 2022.
Tehan told reporters in Canberra the taskforce, aided by the Australian Federal Police (AFP), would prevent organised crime from infiltrating the scheme.
“We do not want that money going, in particular, to organised criminals who will seek to exploit, sadly, any system that the government puts in place,” he said.
Though standing alongside Tehan at the announcement, AFP Deputy Commissioner Neil Gaughan said NDIS fraud had thus far been “minimal”.
However, Gaughan said: “We will put in place our full powers and our full capabilities to bring those responsible for the criminality to justice”.
As well as the AFP, the NDIS fraud taskforce would involve the Department of Human Services and the National Disability Insurance Agency.
Human Services Minister Michael Keenan issued a statement to say his department had extensive experience in fraud detection and prevention and would help ensure the NDIS supported people fairly.
“There is always a minority who will seek to exploit the system and we must remain vigilant to ensure the NDIS remains viable and that taxpayer funds are only supporting those who genuinely need it,” he said.
ALP distraction squirrel to cover the allegations for her bullying staffers.
… and I now choose to live as a gay man?
No?
NDIS will make the Day Care scam look like child’s play.
He’s got valid points galore, regarding the UK.
It applies here too. What can one do to defend themselves?
Jeff Goldblum knows how to dress.
His wife not so much. Shame because she’s pretty tidy.
The next step will be to resign, claiming she “needs more time with her family.”
This mob don’t resign, they dig in and stonewall until something else takes the heat off them. They don’t give up their place at the trough that easily! How many times should Dastarayi have done the decent thing, yet had to be prised out of his comfy red seat like a limpet clinging to its rock? And Dastayari is one of her most loyal supporters in this, so what advice might she be getting, one wonders.
It sounds to this cynical old dame, who’s seen a lot of pollies come and go, that this little Duckie was living it up, having the career plus the kids, the single-man status, the status of being an MP, the benefits, the allowances, being feted by her labor “colleagues”, having staff at her beck and call, all paid for by the tax-payer – yet she never thought she might be caught out, never thought that those she was allegedly hanging sh*t on and abusing might not be “cool” with all of that.
Any “employer” who demanded I walk their dog and pick up its sh*t, that I do the dishes to “check my male privilege” (OK, I’m not male, but I’d never do it to any man anyhow), or who called me a “c**t” or a “f***wit”, would get very short shrift indeed, and would know all about my displeasure and the unacceptability of their actions. That this little bint thinks she’s something special and has the right to put sh*t on others just tells us the measure of ALP candidates, and what they think of the rest of us – and how they’d like to treat us all too, for that matter.
And this is what they do to their own! Hah!
Emma can’t quit. By-election would be called. Simpler with senator.
Did Emma Husar have a husband?
Airbrushed out of existence?
You have to be careful with that stuff, Stimson.
How can assume it’s true?
A day at the sandblasters:
(Trying to imitate Fletch from Classic Restos)
Thanks for the explanation, mater
Mater, I get that people might move into the private sector after working in Defence/Intel and require a clearance but the “automatic evergreen roll over” of the clearance is a worry.
Making Brennan or Clapper re-apply if and when they got an actual job requiring a clearance would be a valuable learning experience.
Imagine making Brennan sit in front of a junior woodchuck clerk and answer questions about his allegiances to foreign powers, his loyalty to the US and whether he had put himself in a compromising position at any stage.
Bearing, sticks the boot in.
I think the correct term in the ALP is “donor”.
Great analysis Bushkid. And as you say she did that to people on her side. The in people. Gives us an idea of what they have in mind for us.
Any on – line biographies describe her as “a single mum” with three children, and no mention of any partner. Oh, and her role model is Nelson Mandela, FFS.
Glad it helped.
One of the things I’m finding is we still make stuff here in Oz.
That sandblaster was doing the surface treatment for a lot of locally maufactured pumps, valves, fastenings and even high strength doors for a New Zealand prison.
Very interesting day.
No kidding, you could have bought this land in the late 80s early 90s for nothing as you would have taken up the real estate taxes. Check out the price under property details;
‘Dutton should ban Noah from entering the country’
This should be a teaching moment for Noah, unaware as he must be of the timeline of humour between the US, S.Africa and Australia. repost
The ‘tall tale’ genre was taken from the US to S.Africa and developed into ‘kloof yarns’ then taken to the WA Goldfields influencing the melting pot of prospectors and probably H.Lawson. Patterson too spent time in S.Africa and would have obtained copies. Kloof yarns were often racist, the Jacky Jacky joke genre is a descendent. The yarns of Noongar exponent Skinny Ugle represent the indigenising of the genre.
Some Skinny Ugle yarns –
Skinny was in the Air Force flying a bomber, the bombs were going everywhere so he hid behind a cloud and waited till they stopped fighting
Skinny Ugle ran that fast around a tree he tapped him self on the back
Skinny went hunting for a yongka an only had 1 bullet …. he come back with 2 yongka. He told them’ I lined up the 2 yongka evenly & I shot the rock in the middle. The bullet split in half an shot both’
Skinny had a fight one day & he said ‘ I never hit a man when he down’ so he lay down on the ground and fought him
Skinny was riding the bike back to Narrogin. He rode that fast around the corner the back wheel was in front of him ..
Skinny said that he was playing footy in Cuballing and they were one goal and one point behind and when he kicked the ball the leather went through the goal and the bladder went through the point and they won by one point and one goal
Skinny was playing footy in Williams. He took a screamer – he was that high he seen em playing two up in Narrogin
Skinny was down south setting rabbit traps, he said there was so many rabbits he had to push them out of the way the way to set the traps …
Uncle Abe’s Big Shoot
‘When I pulled the trigger the fish leapt from the water on the line and the bullet passed through him inter the buck. I tole you the gun kicked. Well it flew out of my hands an’ hit the hare square on the nose…’
Kloof Yarns. Glanville 1896
Glanville’s Kloof Yarns were popular in the WA Goldfields. Copies were obtained from prospectors who’d been to South Africa and later from Boer War veterans. They were widely read all over the State. Some Kloof yarns were reprinted by literary minded newspaper Goldfields editors like Everard Manhattan.

The most annoying thing about Husar is that the limp-wristed submariner-fondler Pyne gave her a free pass.
Wait until the (ALP) investigation is complete, blah, blah, blah.
Jeez, the photos of Chrissy must be High Def.
Leigh
I think I get part of what clearance may be all about. A number of jobs in the US would require clearance – even in the private sector. Think about the technology firms that do stuff for the government for instance.
Pyne gave Burke a free pass too. That’s when I finally realized whose side the Libs are on.
Labor Lindsay candidate Emma Husar deletes embarrassing Facebook posts
The colourful comments on Facebook date back to 2010 and include, in June that year, criticism of Mr Ayres. Ms Husar’s post concluded “politicians, I want to be one, you can lie, steal, cheat and use other people’s money to go on holidays – the best job in the world”.
Steve Bannon. Notice how things picked up for the Trump Presidency once Sloppy Steve left?
Regarding the scrubbing of the security clearances of Clapper, Brennan and co, will it be like this.
Or, perhaps more like this.
Not even the the mothers of 11 who got through the Great Depression.
A two-time domestic violence survivor. Is there a medal with bar for that?
Then why the hell is she an MP? Go home and look after your children.
Maybe Emma Husar has a sad story but I get mightily pissed off when the Fembots claim single motherhood that is by choice and not chance.
I reserve the term single mum for widows and those whose no good partners have shot through.
Having an ex who pays bills and sees the kids does not make you a solo act.
She has an autistic child and did speak out against the anti vaccination loonies. Not all bad then, like most of us.
Good bits of cameraworkd there, Arky. Seems you have more than one cameraman, yes
Also, you got the banjo thingy sandblasted and primer applied, but what coating will you be using? Or is that the next video?
Yeah, but the whole roll-over where you retire and are still seen to have unchanged rights to tap into the old firm is weird.
Mater’s take is spot on.
In the Australian context, let’s say Brennan retired as head of ASIO and got a job as a marketing consultant with Acme Landmines. He would be able to get a clearance to access documents and materials related to the dealings of Acme with Defence but he would not be able to access ASIO material related to, say, Chinese spying activity.
Mother of five, that ran two farms, while her husband and brother in law were “away at the war?”

A forgotten giant of the WA colonial press
DEAT’H OF A COOLGARDIE JOURNALIST. MR. E. MANHATTAN.
COOLGARDIE, June 19 1898
‘The death occurred early this morning of Mr Everal * Manhattan, who for many months past had been the editor of the Coolgardie Miner. He had been ailing for some time from an attack of dysentery. This, with complications, proved fatal. The deceased was a native of Tipperary, Ireland, and came when a boy with his father to Melbourne. Soon afterwards he went to New Zealand. He was educated first in Nelson, and he then proceeded to England to finish his studies. He then travelled to various parts of the world, and previous to coming to West Australia he conducted a paper at Charters Towers, Queensland. The deceased arrived in this colony two years ago when he became editor of the Broad Arrow Standard. About 15 months since he joined the Coolgardie Miner as sub.editor, afterwards becoming editor. His
age was 44 years. He leaves a widow in Coolgardie.’

DG.
That car you are doing up.
Ford or Holden?
Good stuff!
I appreciate what you are saying, but the arse pain just lands with the security team doing the next check.
Unless Brennan and Clapper were removed due to security concerns, their fundamental suitability for a security clearance, hasn’t really changed. A fait accompli.
You have to be careful with that stuff, Stimson.
How can assume it’s true?
Guess I got fooled again JC.
Just like in 2016.
Silly me.
“If you’re a farmer whose bank doesn’t offer an FMD offset, you can tell them to ?what FMD.
Ford Leigh.
Holden weren’t making anything in 1929 aside from conveniently shaped sticks for poking oxen up the arse.
Just took the psychopathy test.
We are talking breach of security there.
But that is the thing.
The lax security and deliberate breaches when the heavy hitters lean on people is worrying.
My memory of working in secure environments here is that there was a general acceptance that anyone could challenge anyone else about their right of access etc, irrespective of seniority, and free-range gossiping was considered poor form. If you had no direct contribution to a project or assignment you would not expect to discuss it casually.
It seems that US intel is more like a London gentlemen’s club (except for the shortage of gentlemen).
Simples: if you are immigrating from a country whose ethnicity is 57 times more likely to break our laws then it should be 57 times more difficult for you to enter.

Actually, I just did some Googling.
Holden were making bodies for Austin 7-ses in 1929.
True Mater.
I guess what we got here is a cultural problem where the retired 5-stars seem to still have the run of the place.
Apart from security, that is not healthy in any business.
In any case, Trump ripping their epaulettes off is mostly theatre, but it does send a message to anyone leaking to them.
And Chevrolet.
In fact Holden was the biggest car body builder in the commonwealth in 1929.
Still shit though.
Manhattan Contrarian has written an excellent summary of the huge story the MSM elected to not report this weekend regarding the release (finally) of massively redacted FISA court documents.
In other words, the entire basis for the so-called ‘Russian Collusion’ investigation was a lie. But you knew that.
Funny how a bunch of those paragraphs in the original FISA documents were marked ‘Unclassified’ at the time but now the FBI figure they have to be redacted.
The FBI will have to come up with a new classification marking for ‘unflattering’, ‘contradicts our new story’, or ‘tends to illustrate that we are incompetent liars in the tank for the Democrats’.
That sandblaster was great. First time I’ve seen one in action. The inevitable hi-viz noted.
Have you given any thought to how the interior will be fitted out? I noticed some shreds of cloth hanging from the roof (?). Did the wreck come with the original seats or will you have to source them?
Criticism of the president does not require clearance. It is a cheap shot.
Aha!
He’s circled the bait.
He’s nibbled a couple of times.
Now he’s bitten!
also the way it is going, Trump will have to remove security clearance from all current (appointed by Trump) leaders of the intelligence agencies, who are all in consensus regarding Russian indictments.
Trump just can’t tolerate criticism. It is a circus.
She is number 347 off the Holden production line.

The elbow patches were leather, DG- the jackets themselves were corduroy.
There’s a Simpons classic somewhere- starts with Homer becoming as teacher, and Marge saying “you’ve ruined a perfectly good jacket!”

I don’t know what that means. Why is a hoot in tbe park significant?
Domestic Violence must be dangerously contagious. Anyone can catch it, multiple times even.
Boot.
If you manage to find yourself in multiple relationships where you’re having to survive ‘domestic violence’, you definitely shouldn’t be in parliament making laws to rule other peoples lives.
Because you’re basically retardedly naive, a dreadful judge of character or a thrill seeker.

I remember now.

No elbow patches though.

Exactly what I was thinking. Either that or you are an inveterate liar and show pony who accuses partners of DV to get a better divorce settlement, the kids plus sympathy because you are a sociopath.
I’m loving Trump. He’s just shown what pussies past POTUS’s were. All it takes is one tweet and the Euroweenies and ME psychopaths and the Asian paper tigers come running.

Keep ’em coming
Apologies if someone posted this earlier. The two Aussie cave divers awarded Star of Courage (that was quick; Turnbull trying to get brownie points before super Saturday?). Anyway this is well deserved and I can really understand why these guys are a bit ’embarrassed’ by the kerfuffle. Huge team effort. Plus just listening to them at the presser you realise just how much pressure was on them and just how risky the whole plan was – as Dr Harris said – to sedate skinny, dehydrated Thai boys at back of a cave. Basically Dr Harris didn’t know whether he was going to kill them (and then, thanks to UK divers especially, whether they could carry them through nil visibility at times and hope you don’t knock their full face mask off and drown them). Bravo, good men. And remember during the same week Turnbull said yes to Leyonjhelm’s bribe to open the door wider to euthanasia.
Working on a new joke for Trevor Noah. Let me know what you think before I send it to him – An Australian white woman ends up in hospital with a bullet wound to her left knee. After surgery the Dr asked her how it had happened. She explains that she was suicidal and wished to shoot herself in the heart but didn’t know where the heart was. She was told it was just below the left nipple and that’s how she came to shoot herself in the left knee.

Those American patriots are great missiles. Man, if they lock in, you’re fucked. Just eject, because you’re rooted.
Within a couple of seconds of launching, those beasts break the sound barrier so you think you are getting hammered when they let go a phalanx. Just one reason why Iran doesn’t have a hope causing trouble in Hormuz. It’s lousy with patriots.

Can’t wait for Wally Dolly to describe the Holocaust as “an irritating dispute amongst communities” on Das Projekt.
The multi-layered Israeli missile defence system is freaking amazing. Everyone hears about Iron Dome, which is pretty awesome on its own. But it shoots down fairly rudimentary ordnance like artillery fire and the shitty backyard rockets Hamas and the Iranians cook up on the cheap – which is no small feat in and of itself. Personally, I don’t know why South Korea hasn’t blanketed itself in Iron Dome batteries to ameliorate NK’s great threat that it could destroy Seoul with its thousand-salvo arty barrage.
Then there’s another layer that deals with cruise missiles and the like. (If I were a Grigs-type loser I’d hit Wiki up to pretend as though I know everything, even though I’m not fooling anyone.)
Then there’s David’s Sling, which deals with (I believe) longer range ballistic missiles with heavier payloads.
Then there’s the final missile defence shield which deals with ICBMs and the like. Ballistic missiles that exit and re-enter the atmosphere in their flight trajectory.
Israel kicks arse.
Arky, love your work.
But Hi vis man
………
Please.
Do I reallt have to ask?

The Iranians have thousands of missiles. Expecting American Patriot missiles to intercept them with a better than average strike rate would be a somewhat less than prudent strategy.

What are you smoking, DG?
l’Cor du Roy is the cloth of kings.
True. And with real time counterbattery fire, Iran’s numerous but imprecise arsenal won’t be hard to neutralise. Closing the straits won’t be done with ordnance but with physical barriers that prevent passage, such as scuttled vessels. Clearing these barriers expeditiously is the main game.
Their Waleed’s sewerage rebirthing project will keep serving up well polished and bite sized portions of leftist mantra upon demand.

The straits are quite wide, in a narrow sort of way. 🙂 The US has mine sweepers etc that could clean it up. Are there shipping channels there?

Me and Waleed are just so cute and normal and loved up and stuff comes out from the lipsticked lips of Dr Dhimmi Susan Carland whenever Waleed cops some static after saying something snakey.
Seriously. Israel stole a literal half-tonne of top secret Iranian nuclear weapons documents and spirited these from Tehran to Jerusalem. Mossad knows where the Iranian launch sites are, should it come to that. Any Iranian action in the Straits of Hormuz against the US will be asymmetric and (very) low-tech.

Imagine sitting through this from a president, it would break you or make you.
Considering the “heatwave” sweeping the UK, I thought it may be time to break this old hoary chestnut out of the archives:
I don’t think it would be minesweepers, as the Iranians know laying mines will be a very temporary hindrance. To get the biggest bang for their buck, they would want to sink large objects in random places along key shipping lanes. Iranian special forces might commandeer a few oil tankers and scuttle them, for instance. The US and its coalition will need to be able to neutralise the Iranian threat AND clear the shipping lanes quickly.
