One of the many nonsense aspects of alarmism is that human CO2 emissions are responsible for all of the increase in CO2. Ed Berry provides an elegant and simple rebuttal in poster form of the alarmist paradigm and shows natural CO2 is responsible for the increase in CO2 and therefore humans have nil impact on the climate:

The australian media proclaim the FBI have listed the proud boys as what the aussie media hint is a terrorist group

    However..

“The FBI on Tuesday denied classifying the Proud Boys as an extremist group, contradicting an internal law enforcement document that recently drew parallels between the “pro-Western fraternal organization” and white nationalists.

“We do not intend and did not intend to designate the group as extremist,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Renn Cannon said during a media event held at the bureau’s Portland offices, The Oregonian reported.

“That was not our intention. That’s not what we do,” Mr. Cannon added, according to the outlet.

FBI officials clarified the bureau’s stance after an internal affairs report drafted by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office in neighboring Washington state alleged that federal investigators have categorized the Proud Boys as “an extremist group with ties to white nationalism.”

Clark County officials requested a briefing on “domestically inspired acts of violence,” and FBI agents subsequently offered details on domestic threats posed by militias, white supremacists and anarchists, Mr. Cannon told reporters, according to The Oregonian.

The Proud Boys were discussed during the briefing, Mr. Cannon confirmed, but the FBI “tried to characterize the potential threat from individuals within that group,” he explained, The Oregonian reported.

Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has been fined $375,000 by the Federal Election Commission for violating federal disclosure laws, Politico reports.
An FEC audit of Obama for America’s 2008 records found the committee failed to disclose millions of dollars in contributions and dragged its feet in refunding millions more in excess contributions.
The resulting fine, one of the largest ever handed down by the FEC, is the result of a failure to disclose or improperly disclosing thousands of contributions to Obama for America during the then-senator’s 2008 presidential run, documents show

Mueller’s report will ‘reveal’ nothing. There is nothing to reveal.
We already know all the crimes: the DNC and the Clinton campaign illegally purchased a phony dossier from Russian intelligence to use against Trump. The FBI illegally used the dossier to acquire a warrant to illegally spy on Trump. Meanwhile, James Comey illegally fixed the Clinton email travails and lied to federal judges. None of what occurred was meant to come out because Hillary was a dead cert. When it did come out – because Trump won – a phony pseudo-McCarthyite witch-hunt began to find non-existent agents of Wussia. Along the way, Mueller entrapped a few officials for ‘lying’ to the FBI – the predictable boilerplate ‘crime’ that Special Prosecutors invariably gin up.

250 pages of internal Facebook files were just dumped online—here are the 6 key takeaways

Here are the six main things we’ve learned from the files:

—Facebook “whitelisted” certain companies, meaning that they still had full access to users’ friends’ data after platform changes in 2014-15, including Airbnb, Netflix, and Badoo. “It is not clear that there was any user consent for this, nor how Facebook decided which companies should be whitelisted or not,” said Damian Collins, a member of Parliament and committee chair.

—Facebook aggressively tried to shut down the competition. When Twitter launched the six-second-video-clip platform Vine, Zuckerberg approved revoking its access to Facebook’s API.

—Friends’ data has been a big source of revenue for Facebook, thanks to growing revenues from app developers. The idea of tying access to this data to the developer’s relationship with Facebook is a recurring feature throughout the documents.

—Mark Zuckerberg wanted “full reciprocity” between Facebook and app developers: you share all your data on users with us, and we’ll share all of ours with you.

—Facebook found ways to access users’ call history without alerting them, in order to make “People You May Know” suggestions and tweak news-feed rankings. Facebook planned to make it as hard as possible for users to know that this was happening.

—Facebook used Onavo (an Israeli analytics company it bought in 2013) to check customers’ usage of mobile apps without their knowledge. They used this to find out how many people had downloaded apps and how often they used them. This information was used to suss out potential companies to acquire.

    Something wicked this way comes!

DC Votes to Call Street Outside NASA Headquarters ‘Hidden Figures Way’
The street name would honor three black women scientists who helped take NASA to space

Members of the D.C. Council unanimously voted on Tuesday to call a stretch of a D.C. street Hidden Figures Way. The name honors Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary W. Jackson, who contributed to NASA’s scientific work in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

The “Hidden Figures Way Designation Act of 2018” would put a new street sign on the 300 block of E Street SW.

As Curbed reported in October, the symbolic act is aimed at highlighting the “historic women scientists and mathematicians who contributed to NASA’s mission despite adversity.”

The bill was introduced in September by D.C. Council chairman Phil Mendelson and the entire council before gaining preliminary approval on Tuesday. The legislation will be reviewed a second time before getting a final vote in two weeks. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) then would receive the bill for signing.

Mendelson honored the scientists at a hearing.

“Despite facing segregation and adversity, these women computers played an integral role in the development of aeronautical and aerospace research during turning points in our nation’s history, including World War II and the development of the Space Task Force,” he said.

    £38,000 for black academics
£37,000 for academics from an Arab background

  74. What specific crimes is Trump involved in? Leave the Busty Daniels thing aside because no one gives a shit.

The key word is conspiracy (not collusion). He will be named as a co-conspirator in plenty of Russia-related crimes. It will probably go all the way up to conspiracy against the United States, seeing as Manafort and Gates have already been charged with and pleaded guilty to it. Then there will be various kinds of fraud related to money changing hands at Trump’s direction, plus probably tax fraud because Trump’s organisation is rife with it.

Basically it’s everything that Nixon was accused of, plus the added frisson of treason. Of course they won’t convict him on that, but it colours everything else. As I’ve been saying all along, this is pretty much just Watergate if Nixon had gotten Kruschev on the dog and bone to bring over some KGB lads to perform the burglary.

Spared prison because he can’t speak English: Romanian dishwasher dubbed ‘the Brighton bottom slapper’ who smacked 11 women as he cycled at night walks free

-Constantin Barbutu slapped at least 11 victims as he rode around Brighton
-He admitted 11 charges of s3xual assault but avoided a jail term this morning
-Judge told mental health problems and lack of English would make prison hard

Handing him a suspended sentence Judge David Rennie said that if it wasn’t for the fact he speaks no English and suffers from mental impairment problems, then he would be facing jail.

He said: ‘You caused great fear and ongoing anguish. They were simply going about their business and they were fully entitled to be left alone.’

Judge Rennie said many of the victims had found the attacks ‘traumatic, frightening and terrifying’.

He would target single women out walking or running alone and would then swoop down on them on his bike with his hoodie up.

Barbutu would then either grope or slap their bottoms as he rode past. He would also make lewd suggestions or gestures towards them as he rode off.

On one occasion he hit one woman on the bottom and then circled round her on his bike, grinning and leering.

Another victim, who was cycling when she was attacked, fell off her bike and broke her collarbone.

For two years, you have been informing us about this nefarious collusion between Trump and the Russians. I’ve been genuinely curious, but two years on there’s been zilch.

On the other hand, I’m still being left speechless that the real Russian/foreign collusion between Russian elements, UK and even Australians paid for the Clinton campaign has been left alone. In a fair world, Alexander Downer, the English spy and various others like Comey etc, should be facing very long jail terms.

More than 200 academics sign open letter accusing Cambridge don of publishing ‘racist pseudoscience’ in row over academic free speech

Dr Noah Carl has previously spoken at a conference about eugenics and claimed that opposition to immigration can be based on ‘rational beliefs’.

Dr Carl’s previous controversial writings have included:

    linking an increased population to rising terrorism levels;
    -claims that ‘consensual stereotypes’ about nationalities or race ‘are generally found to be accurate’;
    -how Remain voters do not understand why Leave voters wanted to quit the EU;
-and the impact of immigration on arrest rates.
-Among these writings was one paper in 2016, in which he claimed that ‘the higher the percentage of Muslims in the population, the greater the share of citizens susceptible to Islamist radicalisation’.

This young fellow is 100% correct on every point. Peter Hammond found a correlation between the number of muslims and acts of terrorism and every measure of social strife some time ago. Plenty of other people have too such as Mark Steyn, Leo Hohmann, a collaborator of Carl’s H Rindermann, Ayaan Hirsi Aly, Robert Spencer. In fact it’s as obvious as tits on a bull that the more muslims you have the more trouble you have.

As for shutting up until Mueller’s report drops, don’t you get it yet? He is dropping his report already, slowly, by releasing details in charge memos. This is his report, effectively. Every memo is a new chapter. The actual report will just be tying together all the info from the memos.

And every one of his key witnesses has already been convicted of lying to the FBI. The jury will be really impressed by their testimony!

Incidentally the terms of Flynn’s indictment/sentencing are out in the open now, as of this week.

Remember General Flynn who was Mueller’s big catch?

The “crime” he committed is so arcane and so trivial it is an almighty injustice that Mueller ruined him financially so that he was forced to plead guilty.

When the FBI interviewed the defendant on January 24 about his interactions with the Russian ambassador, the defendant falsely stated that he did not ask the Russian ambassador to refrain from escalating the situation in response to the sanctions, and falsely disclaimed any memory of his subsequent conversation with the ambassador in which the ambassador stated that Russia had acceded to the defendant’s request.

So Flynn asked the Russian ambassador to “refrain from escalating” when sanctions were applied. I believe that is called “diplomacy”. What was he supposed to do? Inflame the situation some more?

All of which would’ve been a 5 second exchange, one of thousands he would have had. And Mueller, who was illegally bugging him, says GOTCHA.

Mueller is a particularly unpleasant partisan activist who deserves justice to come upon him swiftly and painfully.

As then head of the FBI, Mueller was neck deep in the conspiracy to get uranium into Russian hands. This couldn’t have been achieved without his colluding with Hillary Clinton , Obama and the Clinton Foundation.

The Special Council investigation headed up by Mueller was specifically initiated to provide bullet proof protection for the traitors in the Obama administration and FBI/DOJ/CIA sewer dwellers. That’s it’s role; to deny potentially damaging probes into “national security” issues or “classified material” on “pending investigations”. Mueller’s investigation umbrella is meant to deflect those attacks. Let’s see if that remains achievable.

It’s a war. A huge struggle going on within the US legal/political system where the winner will determine the course of the US , I think, for many decades to come.

Recently, while I was working in the garden in my front yard, my Green voting neighbours stopped for a chat as they returned from walking their dog.

During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said she wanted to be Prime Minister someday.

Both her parents, were standing there, so I asked her “If you were Prime Minister, what would be the first thing you would do?”

She replied “I would give food and houses to all the homeless people”. Her parents beamed with pride!

“Wow! What a worthy goal!” I said “But you don’t have to wait until you’re Prime Minister to do that”. “What do you mean?” she replied. So, I told her “You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds and trim the hedge, and I’ll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the local mall where that homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house”.

She thought that over for a few seconds, then looked me straight in the eye and asked “Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay HIM the $50 directly?”

    I’m gunna try it out!

The bad news on human nature, in 10 findings from psychology

    • We view minorities and the vulnerable as less than human
    • We experience Schadenfreude (pleasure at another person’s distress) by the age of four
    • We believe in karma
    • We are blinkered and dogmatic
    • We would rather electrocute ourselves than spend time in our own thoughts
    • We are vain and overconfident
    • We are moral hypocrites
    • We are all potential trolls
    • We favour ineffective leaders with psychopathic traits
    • We are sexually attracted to people with dark personality traits

There are two breeds of socialists, international socialists, aka communists and national socialists, aka fascists.

US Ambassador to Croatia, Robert Kohorst, said on Friday that the US will green-light the sale of Israeli F-16 fighter jets to Croatia only after Israel meets the US’ technical demands.

The United States has been telling Israel for two years what those demands were, which is why this deadlock is surprising, Kohorst said.

The Croatian government had adopted the decision to purchase twelve F-16 C/D Barak fighter jets from Israel back in March, for roughly 3.1 billion kuna ($477 million). However, the contract on the delivery of the jets has not been signed to this day.
