If you adjust for physical differences in strength, that explains away any difference in sex of perpetrator in homicide rates.

    Are you sure about that?

If it is a homicide then the intention is to kill

besides which if the weapon used is a gun what difference does sex make?

perhaps if you were talking about manslaughter.

Besides which we are discussing violence rates in Aboriginal communities which struth would have us believe is a female dominated problem

I don’t claim that an men are intentional perps but arguing that aboriginal women are responsible for the majority of violence in Aboriginal communities is unsupportable.

    Next up

most sexual violence in Aboriginal communities is committed by women

    Oh just again for Notafan.

I blame left wing beta males for all our woes.
    Noit women.
Basically the power women have to influence the civilisation they are in is determined by the willingness of men to allow it.
This is the basic physical fact.
And it so shits so many women to tears, because underneath they know we can take it back any time we want.
Western men don’t want to because we are too nice.
So you’ll all soon be in black sacks.
Either way, abuse the power given and it will be taken.
Western men have abrogated their responsibilities and beta lefties will see the fall of civilisation to get a root, and agree with anything.
Enjoy your fat hairy backed sand Monkeys ladies.

You claim to be mates with the Prices struth

run your theory past them and get back to us will you?

I know they has some opinions and some dead relatives too

I never said Aboriginal women did not get involved in alcohol fueled violence but that your anecdotes are not evidence

Nor as I said before is your claim supported by evidence from other existing simialr paleolithic communities especially those not influenced by alcohol

As usual you never ever support your claims by references or links, never.

That should have been ‘all men’ in my previous comment

  5. Death Giraffe

perhaps if you were talking about manslaughter.

    ..
    No.
US homicide statistics, which I used, mean basically unlawful killing of any kind: Murder, manslaughter etc.
Don’t make me go back to find it. We did this last year. I’m correct, you are wrong.
Look up the US DOJ homicide rates if you want to dispute.
It breaks down perpetrator, victim, age, sex, drug use, etc, etc, etc.

    ..
    If. if., if, if, if.
You can look up what proportion of homicides involve firearms and factor that into your calculations, with a fraction constant at the front to compensate for the number of chicks who have a big man take the weapon off them in close quarters and beat their heads in with it.

    Yes I would.
    Exactly.

Caused by white left wing beta men.
    Do you get it yet?

    You’re too city.
You really need to get yourself out to one of these places.
Any of the town camps around Alice Springs would suffice.

In the short of it, female hysterics when everyone is so pissed they can hardly stand up, is met with death with one drunken blow, or drunken temper tantrum by either female or male.
The men are ra..ping and extremely violent too Nota, but the women are absolutely insane as well.
You have no idea of the degradation of these people and places, as shown by your comments.
But the women, drunk and brain damaged through substance abuse, just like the men, are more violent more often, with less serious outcomes due to their lack of strength.
This is pure hard survival of the fittest, but ensconced in filth, where animals tend to be cleaner.
It’s the product of segregated welfare from the left.
And it is the shame of Australia.
That Australians are willing to let this situation continue, proves inconclusively that our country is headed for a Venezuelan future.

My mother was in the US doing a bit of shopping in a mall (not a ‘maul’).

She took a bit of a spill on an escalator and, having had hip surgery not long before, had difficulty getting back up, but some very nice people rushed to help her.

A person came out from a fast food place and the flash posse took her inside. She said afterward she was astonished by how lovely the people were. They got some towels for the cuts she sustained, asked if she wanted an ambulance (the which she declined), they offered her anything she wanted (she was eventually prevailed upon to accept some chicken soup), and sat with her, unhurrying, until my father returned from his errand. My father was given a seat and the staff stayed with them until they felt ready to leave.

    The restaurant was a Chik-Fil-A.

Oh, and my mother said the chicken soup was delicious. Even…ahem…divine.

I don’t need to see what happens in town camps

I didn’t dispute that there was female on female fueled by alcohol violence in aboriginal communities,

You claimed that female on female violence was also the majority pre contact as well (no alcohol involved)

you are hysterical, illogical and not supported by the facts, as usual

Mrs PRICE: I now take this opportunity to talk about an issue that has always been close to my heart. Within the last four months, two more young mothers related to me were killed in Alice Springs Town Camp[s]. One was injured mortally in the public, in front of several families. Nobody acted to protect her. Dozens of my female relatives have been killed this way. Convictions usually lead to light sentences. I was told by a senior lawyer that no jury in Alice Springs will convict an Aboriginal person for murder if the victim is also Aboriginal and he or she is only stabbed once.

A conference of Aboriginal men in Alice Springs publicly apologised to Aboriginal women and kids for the violence and abuse men have inflicted on them

Greens MP Jeremy Buckingham rips up membership

Controversial NSW Greens MP Jeremy Buckingham has “ripped up” his membership of the “Marxist” party today and will become an independent.

Mr Buckingham was asked to stand aside from the NSW Greens’ upper house ticket earlier this month over allegations of sexual misconduct. He vehemently denies the allegations.

“Today, I’m ripping up my membership of the toxic NSW Greens party. The NSW Greens is a party that has abandoned the important principles of justice and democracy, is dominated by an extreme left faction and has lost its focus on the environment,” he said.

“By contesting the NSW election, I aim to put climate change, coal and the corruption in the management of our rivers firmly on the election agenda.

“I will roll out policies that will challenge the NSW Greens’ Marxist agenda and represent a more genuine green platform aimed at real results rather than posturing.”

Mr Buckingham said he will run as an “independent real Green” in March’s state election.

The increase in Australian women being jailed is phenomenal …

Over the past decade, the total number of people behind bars in Australia has skyrocketed, rising by almost 40 per cent since 2013, and 56 per cent since 2008, according to ABS data released earlier this month.

But while men continue to make up the majority of the prison population (92 per cent), the number of women being incarcerated is increasing at a significantly higher rate: a staggering 85 per cent over the past 10 years.

The ABC is on the case: Why are our prisons full of domestic violence victims?

Behind these figures, though, is one often-overlooked fact: an overwhelming majority of women in prison are victims of domestic violence, with evidence suggesting between 70 per cent and 90 per cent of incarcerated women have been physically, sexually or emotionally abused as children or adults — an experience experts say frequently leads to their offending and criminalisation.

But of course. It’s men’s fault.

It is crucial to note that the stats are even bleaker for Aboriginal women, who are 35 times more likely than non-Indigenous women to be hospitalised for family violence-related assaults and are incarcerated at 21 times the rate of non-Indigenous women.

Experts say there are a number of historical contributing factors. “The effects of colonisation, attempting to annihilate our culture and connection to land, the acts of genocide and the forced removal of our kids have all contributed to putting more [Aboriginal] women behind bars,” said Antoinette Braybrook, chief executive of Djirra, an organisation supporting Aboriginal women experiencing family violence in Victoria.

    White men, of course.

Concrete fascinates me. Love working with it. When I first got the tip about rebar, my various little projects improved mightily, natch.

Hammond points out that the massive legs of the Troll A encase some serious rebar but the concrete mix itself is the normal, fairly cheap variety.

  33. dover_beach

Mass extinctions “at the margins”. The pervasive suffering of animals “at the margins”. The spontaneous miscarriage rate in humans of .75 “at the margins”?

Mass extinctions of plants and animals marginal. Very likely in the long run. Pervasive suffering of animals marginal? Again, yes. Is there any evidence that animals are suffering for most of their lives? Even if it where the case, it’s not clear why it would be a mark against God’s goodness, or why suffering is, supposedly, an unnecessary corollary of hunger or fear. As to the last, you are right, 75% when including failure to implant is not marginal, but only 10-20% post-implantation is indeed marginal. Still, neither presents an obvious mark against God’s goodness, particularly when we live in a world currently inhabited by billions of human beings.

But, then, even in my atheist phase I looked at the world dumbfounded by its extraordinariness.

  34. struth

Here’s another little tit bit for you Notafan.
Cultural Marxism isn’t just found outside communities.
Seeing you like to be an armchair expert from a distance, check out how many “Women’s councils” there are per aboriginal communities.
All the fat “sistas” in their dot painting polo shirts with every government logo printed on it in existence, who sit around hypocritically talking about violence toward women (which exists, and is terrible) while ignoring all other issues that could so easily fix the entire population of the camps and communities.
Many of their making, which also ends in violence and deaths.
It’s a complete tax payer funded mess.
there are no words to describe the degradation and filth in many of these places.
The all round physical violence and abuse.
The only reason more women aren’t killing as much as men is because they aren’t the stronger sex.
And that’s all that matters once life sinks that low.

But I guarantee you they are more violent more often.
Just not that effective, and often are killed by men who are drunk and sick of being physically assaulted by the female.
Which is no excuse of course.
But I’m just reporting it as I see it.

Just a minor consequence of your perpetual irritant mates, Squalid. Get over it.

I say he is lying through his teeth – I had a look yesterday after seeing Zulu Kilo Two Alpha’s original post and found the swarthy little mackerel made the claim after a friendly interview with some perpetual protest sheila. Evidently someone inferior to her in Customs had once taken a second glance at her passport photo, so she converted that into a savage strip search by Mossad because it suits her cause.

The smelly little arab felt the need to top her fairy tale with one of his own, in which he did not reveal when, where, specifically who (other than that they were the Evil Juice) how long, what he was visiting for, whether they had a grope and a fiddle with his fake wog missus, BA, and so on. You can bet your life it would have been up in lights for a week and a half, the moment he returned to his Melbourne sleeper cell. Media mega-stars leap at such opportunity for free publicity.

This reminds me of boy captain Michael Clarke attempting to butch up by sledging Pommy tail ender Anderson with “Get ready for a broken f**king arm” only to be fined 20% of his match payment and watching his intended victim regaling the press with “After all, we’re talking about easily the least intimidating of the Australians.”

Another first for SA per ABC Adelaide. SA gummint “supporting” solar-powered “demonstration” facility to split the water molecule (H2O), capturing the hydrogen and instilling it into current gas supplies and on into BBQ gas cyclinders while releasing oxygen into the air.

The Canberra and Victorian Governments are latching onto this good thing too.

Small technical problem. Hydrogen has a much lower energy density than natural gas – less than half.

On its own hydrogen falls below the Australian standard gas quality specifications and cannot be introduced into the Declared Transmission System. Blended with much larger volumes of natural gas it will lower the average pipeline gas quality in terms of energy density and lower limit of flame stability.

In plain English: Clean Green Government hydrogen making Australia’s natural gas supply less efficient and more dangerous.

  44. Ivan Denisovich

    Former Anglican Fr. Dwight Longenecker:

POPE FRANCIS APPROVES CHURCH OF ENGLAND BISHOPS…
…not really, but look at the China-Vatican deal this way:

For the last five hundred years the Catholic Church in England was subjected to persecution. After the tyranny of King Henry VIII and his wicked daughter Elizabeth, the churches and monasteries were stripped of their wealth, Catholics were fined, imprisoned, tortured and killed. The true church was driven underground and the faithful Catholics endured terrible hardships. For four hundred years they were not permitted to build churches, educate their children in the faith or hold public office.

In the meantime, the English regime set up its own “Patriotic National Church” called “The Church of England. The monarch became the head of the church and in every way the bishops and clergy aped Catholicism. Their liturgy seemed Catholic, they claimed the apostolic succession and posed in Catholic spirituality. All the power of the English establishment was behind them. Their bishops sat in the House of Lords. Their top schools, colleges and universities were dominated by the national patriotic Catholic church called “The Church of England.”

After four hundred years the true Catholic Church was gradually and grudgingly permitted. Catholics came out from hiding. They were permitted to build schools, churches and monasteries again. They were granted the freedom to have their own hierarchy, dioceses and Catholic parochial system, but it was clear that they were still second class citizens. The heir to the throne could not marry a Catholic or be a Catholic. The English aristocracy still looked down their noses at Catholics as “foreigners”. The persecution was mild, but it was still real, and the Church of England–the national, patriotic Church of the English was still the dominant, wealthy and powerful church in the land.

But under Pope Francis a new concordat was established. The artificial bishops of the English National Patriotic Church were embraced and welcomed into the Catholic Church. Their excommunications were lifted. The Archbishop of Canterbury was recognized as the true leader of the Catholic Church in England. Catholic bishops were forced to accept the bishops from the English National Patriotic Church, and all dissent from the deal cut between the Vatican and the English authorities was suppressed. The underground Catholic Church would eventually be absorbed into the National Patriotic Church of England. New bishops would be appointed by the English monarch and rubber stamped by the Vatican. The alternative Catholic Church in England would be united with the National Patriotic Church of England.

    Has this happened?

No, but for “England” read “China” and you will see how the Vatican has sold out to the Chinese regime……………………………………………

The Vatican’s treaty with the Chinese is a shameful slap in the face to true, faithful Catholics. It says to them, your martyrs died in vain. Your sufferings were a waste of time………………………………

Then came the left and welfare and all manner of disgusting influence.

You only have to read Mary Durack’s “Kings in Grass Castles” and its sequel “Sons in the Saddle” to get a very good picture of the contact situation and the later settlement of aboriginal stockmen and their families on cattle stations, where the process of cultural integration was well underway. All lost to welfarism, and all the good done by the Kimberley missions lost too.

Eastern suburbs pensioner arrested over unsolved bank robberies from 40 years ago

Police have arrested a 69-year-old eastern suburbs pensioner after they found his fingerprints on notes he handed to bank tellers demanding money during at least eight armed robberies he carried out in Sydney 40 years ago.

The robber, known as the Polite Bandit, was arrested this morning by members of the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad at his Edgecliff unit.

A review of cold cases carried out by the squad and the NSW Forensic Services Group found the notes in archives which read: “I’ve got a gun, hand over money in small denominations’’. The fingerprints on the notes had a “hit’’ with a man arrested in 2010 for fraud.

Police said when they knocked on his door, the man was surprised his past had caught up with him but allegedly confessed his involvement in the robberies.

When the moratorium on whaling was issued, the Japs should have said nah fuck yas we’re catching whales, yum yum yum – and treated the IWC like the Nords do (nobody cares about Nordic whaling, incidentally).

Western (particularly Australian and NZ) selective virtue-signalling over Japanese whaling has ensured an unprofitable industry, with a feeble and dwindling customer base, is propped up by government subsidies. It’s funny how they talk about Japan resuming “commercial whaling” – it isn’t remotely commercial without government support, which is only there due to significant sections of the Japanese public enjoying sticking two fingers up at western greenie scolds.

Goodness knows how many whales would have not been caught if Japanese whaling was ignored and the industry allowed to go the way of whaling industries in just about every other country.

  60. Oh come on

The Nords actually like whale meat. There is a genuine market for it.

The Japanese have to be paid by the government to eat the stuff.

Struth, Watkin Tench is a major earliest source for the scar-bashing of heads of aboriginal women and generally bad treatment of them by aboriginal men. All pre-Coombes studies (proper anthropological studies) of traditional aboriginal culture show a very role divided world between men and women, with male power and thus culture insisting that women were to blame for all of the misdeeds that occurred between men. Whether women incited these or not is moot, most likely many did not, but the solution was to spear any women in the thigh to resolve issues between men. A wise woman learned how to run. She also learned how to hide in the long grass, and to take a young male lover there when natural instincts conquered the gerontocratic polygamous marriage of the oldest men to very nubile young girls. Such a situation left the culture wide open to violence due to affront of various sorts. These affronts and tribal punishments also created entertainments; never forget that.

Just look at the left today to see how easy it is to take offense over perceived slights.

Hairy had an old Cambridge friend who went troppo up North and visited us occasionally with his Islander/Aboriginal girlfriend, who could certainly put away the drink and biff out with it, for she was a big girl. We had an interesting week during their stay. When they returned north, she drove us crazy for a while with her late night alcoholic phone calls, rambling on and on while intermittently screaming at Hairy’s drunken sleeping friend. I tried to be sympathetic till Hairy took the phone, told her to shut up, hang up, get sober and leave us alone. Which she did, leaving the educated sot and taking her share of the failed pie shop they both owned.

I think Trump’s ME policy has been pretty good, all things considered. US support has swung back hard behind Israel, an alliance is coalescing between the Israelis, the rich Sunni Arabs and the Egyptians to confront Iran. Israel has the capabilities to carry out the surgical strikes, the Arabs will turn a blind eye or even help out. If a large-scale land war eventuates, the gulf states will bankroll the anti-Iran side and the Egyptians will provide the personnel.

I think Trump played the Khashoggi murder exactly right. Who gives a crap if some Islamist grub is offed by a good old-fashioned reliable Arab dictator?

WTF more evidence does the corrupt FBI need to charge Killary,

British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who wrote the Democrat-financed anti-Trump dossier, said in a court case that he was hired by a Democratic law firm in preparation for Hillary Clinton challenging the results of the 2016 presidential election.

He said the law firm Perkins Coie wanted to be in a position to contest the results based on evidence he unearthed on the Trump campaign conspiring with Moscow on election interference.

His scenario is contained in a sealed Aug. 2 declaration in a defamation law suit brought by three Russian bankers in London. The trio’s American attorneys filed his answers Tuesday in a libel lawsuit in Washington against the investigative firm Fusion GPS, which handled the former British intelligence officer.

In an answer to interrogatories, Mr. Steele wrote: “Fusion’s immediate client was law firm Perkins Coie. It engaged Fusion to obtain information necessary for Perkins Coie LLP to provide legal advice on the potential impact of Russian involvement on the legal validity of the outcome of the 2016 US Presidential election.

“Based on that advice, parties such as the Democratic National Committee and HFACC Inc. (also known as ‘Hillary for America’) could consider steps they would be legally entitled to take to challenge the validity of the outcome of that election.”

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/dec/12/christopher-steele-hillary-clinton-was-preparing-t/

    PJ Media;

So, long before the Democrats and the media caterwauled about President Trump’s suggestion in October 2016 that he might not accept the results of the election if Hillary Clinton won, the Clinton campaign and Democrats were conjuring up an intelligence disinformation campaign to actually undo the results of the election if Trump won.

A large number of dead galahs have shown signs of possible poisoning after “literally falling out of the sky” in South Australia’s Lower Lakes region.
Milang local and wildlife carer Sarah Hope said she first noticed a dead pink and grey galah in her backyard on November 27.
She told ABC Radio Adelaide that large numbers started turning up dead in the town and adjacent to Lake Alexandrina after clearly suffering a “horrific” end.
“A lot of people in the area, including those who come here for holidays, are distraught by seeing these animals literally falling out of the sky,” Ms Hope said.
“It’s absolutely horrific. They go down so fast and you can see how their claws are balled up because they can’t hold onto the branch any more and fall out of the trees.
“They’re literally face down on the ground.”

Ms Hope sent two of the dead birds to Biosecurity SA which delivered a pathological report indicating a “significant congestion of organs, which commonly occurs with poisons/toxicity”.
There were no signs of disease and the agency described it as a suspected poisoning involving 50 birds in the Milang area.

Until the indictments start raining down on Comey, Brennan, Clapper etc, it’d be far better to focus on a winnable fight.

    The Traitors and enablers summarized;

From research we know what is known as the “Steele Dossier” was a collaborative effort between Fusion-GPS contract employee Nellie Ohr, and a British intelligence asset named Chris Steele; also hired by Fusion. According to inferred congressional testimony, Nellie Ohr’s co-author, Chris Steele, was also an employee of Russian influence agent Oleg Deripaska.

Within a court filing today (full pdf below) there’s an outline of a network of NeverTrump republican allies who received the dossier directly from Christopher Steele. Including: David Kramer (for John McCain), Representative Adam Kinzinger, Paul Ryan’s chief-of-staff John Burks, and various British and U.S. intelligence officials.

It was David Kramer, on behalf of Senator John McCain, who gave the Dossier to Buzzfeed to publish. The first 10-pages of the filing outline the distribution network.

Considering the relationship between Oleg Deripaska and Christopher Steele, ultimately what the dossier and distribution reflects is a Russian propaganda document created by Fusion-GPS Nellie Ohr (herself an expert on Russia) and Chris Steele – then funneled to the U.S. intelligence apparatus for use against an American presidential candidate.

Candidate Trump was a threat to the global system that benefits from military conflict. Those special interests pay for Kinzinger and McCain’s advocacy points – more war. To the benefactors behind global conflict, Trump was an existential risk.

Our Virginia – ex ABC Canberra newsreader, now feminist para-academic and Fairfax royalty by marriage – is very upset over a report that shows Australia slipping to 39th place on something called the Global Gender Gap annual report

    https://www.canberratimes.com.au/national/retreat-australia-fair-we-ve-slid-backwards-on-gender-equality-league-table-20181219-p50n62.html

Whatever the value of the report, Virginia’s stuff is cheap lazy and victim-driven. She has to begin with a bit of heavy-handed sub-satire about blokes.

‘I know a few blokes in Canberra who duck for cover when one of those legendry old “femocrats” – fierce champions of affirmative action and women’s rights – happens to front up at the National Press Club looking cranky. It’s amusing to see the old gents cower.’

but apart from the fact that it measures ‘women’s political participation, leadership, economic opportunity and advancement’ Virginia doesn’ tell us very much at all about how and on what grounds a country’s performance is actually measured and compared or why countries with significant social and economic justice issues like the Phillipines, Columbia and Argentina are ranked with or above us – Virginia, perhaps prudently, fails to note that Rwanda was rated number 6 . It’s hard to shake off the feeling that these rankings are based on show rather than substance, and I’m reminded of how, a few years back, feminist like Virginia were telling us that Saudi Arabia was actually doing better on women’s issues than Australia because it had signed up to more UN conventions on women’s rights.

    But this bit is gob-smacking:

‘According to the Global Gender Gap 2018, Australia ranks 73 for “wage equality for similar work”.’

Most Australian workers are still employed under industrial agreement and arrangements that make it unlawful to discriminate, on the basis of gender, in the pay and conditions for people doing the same job over the same hours. It has to be a lie, unless ‘equality of similar work’ means equating people who teach tots finger painting with skilled and highly- trained craftspeople.

I thought it was a bit unconventional for Trump to take ownership of the govt shutdown he promised if he didn’t get his wall funding down payment, but hey, maybe it would have been a masterstroke. Perhaps ‘I care so much about the security of our country that I’m willing to shut down the government until the people who refuse to secure our border back down’ might have been a winning electoral message.

I saw somewhere that he earned north of $2m per year from the morning TV program and in all likelihood something approaching $3m. Also, although nein have let him go, there was 1 year remaining in his Contract – possibly as a ‘Notice’ clause. Short story is that he has walked with a significant multi-million dollar termination payment. Plus, he will still do the “Same Time Next year” program for nein.

I doubt he will be eligible for Newstart.

  143. Oh come on

I would guess that it’s the best timing to get him re-elected in 2020.

But here’s the thing. He needs to be hammering the Dems relentlessly over this. He should be shutting down the government if he doesn’t get his way and making the Dems own their refusals. The Dem position on immigration is not popular. Chain migration is not popular. The visa lottery is not popular. A porous southern border is not popular. A robust southern border is popular. Polling has consistently shown all of this to be the case.

Trump needs to go to war over this. He needs to force the Dems to cave, or he needs to make it the pre-eminent issue in 2020. He is not doing what needs to be done.

  144. The moment he realised that the wall funding would be a problem getting through Congress, he should have been looking for alternative funding sources. He mentioned getting the military to do it, what, 6 months ago? Longer? Whatever – great idea! The Army Corps of Engineers is right there to be deployed for exactly that kind of mission! Now he’s again talking about getting the military to build it. Um yes what the hell is he waiting for?

Wingnuts: we need guns to protect ourselves against the gubmint!

Also wingnuts: we should deploy the army for domestic law enforcement!

But seriously, it’s all very well saying that Trump should use the Army Corps of Engineers to build the wall, but usually this would mean them acting as advisors while contractors did the building, which would necessitate funding from Congress, which ain’t gonna happen. If you’re talking about active servicemen building it themselves, that’s a whole other level. They’re engineers, not brickies labourers.

The further you get down into the details of any plan Trump might have to think up to get the wall built, the more you realise (if you have a brain) that it is practically impossible. And it has always been impossible, thus anyone who believed it would happen was a fool.

  145. Knuckle Dragger

    Nota,

Sexual violence against women and children in Aboriginal communities, as opposed to ‘traditional’ DV is largely accepted, if not condoned by both men and women. It’s a hard nut to chew, but it’s a fact.

The ‘big men’ of the community take it as their right to rape children and toddlers. Women disagreeing with their arranged marriage are taken into the long grass to have the bucks take turns over her to erase the ‘shame’.

Two different things, and both completely wrong. I applaud the Prices for speaking out against both, and note that several Alice Springs meetings where they were going to speak were shut down by crowds of both men and women from the town camps, saying their views were ‘not traditional’.

  146. Makka

He should be shutting down the government if he doesn’t get his way and making the Dems own their refusals

Shutting down the Govt a week before Christmas may not be so popular or get the much needed focus that action would need to be effective.

Trump needs to go to war over this. He needs to force the Dems to cave, or he needs to make it the pre-eminent issue in 2020. He is not doing what needs to be done.

I’m pretty sure he’s been in a war since he became the GOP candidate and it’s only escalated since then. I’m reasonably confident that the wall is now purely a timing issue. Timed for the 2020 election. Cut him some slack ffs.

Grace Mugabe faces arrest for alleged assault on model Gabriella Engels

    By Jane Flanagan
    The Times

An arrest warrant has been issued for Grace Mugabe by police in South Africa after she allegedly attacked a nightclub hostess who was left needing stitches to head injuries.

Mrs Mugabe, 53, the former first lady of Zimbabwe, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Gabriella Engels by beating her with an electrical extension cord at a hotel in Johannesburg where she was looking for her sons.

After the incident in July last year, which Ms Engels, 21, said she feared “would be the end of me”, Mrs Mugabe ignored a police request for a statement and instead was whisked out of South Africa after being granted diplomatic immunity.

The arrest warrant, issued by the Randburg magistrates’ court in Johannesburg yesterday, came months after a higher court ruled that she did not qualify for immunity.

Ms Engels described how her alleged attacker’s bodyguards watched from the hotel door as she was struck with fists, feet, the cord and its plug.

“She beat me so badly, with all her power and might, I thought she would never stop,” Ms Engels, a part-time model, said. “I was shouting, pleading for mercy at the top of my voice.”

Mrs Mugabe, whose outbursts and extravagance have earned her the nicknames DisGrace and Gucci Grace, faces arrest if she attempts to return to South Africa, where she owns property and cars including a $444,000 Rolls-Royce Ghost. She may be at risk of arrest elsewhere once negotiations between the South African authorities and Interpol have concluded, a police spokesman said.

    From me: thanks.

  174. So you are saying Trump was responsible for the accelerated economic growth that has happened since he took office?

He was responsible for the pro-cyclical tax cut that juiced the already-overheated stock market for a while. Now that strategy is not looking so hot. Instead of Rudd’s helicopter money that landed in the laps of westie bogans, Trump made it rain on Fifth Avenue where everyone just spent it on share buybacks to further enrich the rich. Now he has a blown-out deficit and an economy that is running out of steam and suffering under his tariffs, with the Feds intent on raising interest rates back to sane levels.

I wouldn’t go so far as JC as to say we’re headed for recession, but things aren’t looking great in the medium term.

Actually, much secret men’s business is about the increase of the animal kingdom and some quite kinky emulation of human female functions, such as menstruation. Not kind on the penis, actually. I have mentioned here before that one anthropologist commented that after a lifetime’s subincision – artificially induced bleeding – an older man’s penis looked like, and I quote, ‘a pair of kippers’, so that urination was done squatting like a woman.

So, not much there for the ladies to buy into, as we already have such stuff naturally.

    $2,265,144 of $1.0B goal

“If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall.” That equates to roughly 5Billion Dollars, even if we get half, that’s half the wall. We can do this.

  206. Bruce of Newcastle

Israel is pretty good at building walls.
Say, how about Trump asks Israel to build the wall?
He could relocate two divisions from Germany to Israel as payment in kind.
Lefty heads would explode because the wall is being built.
Then they would explode some more because J-ws are doing it.
And finally they would detonate completely at Trump sending army divisions to Israel…

  207. classical_hero

Struth, I told a silly joke about Tolkien and she got really upset about. None of the other Catholics said anything about it, most probably because they ignored me with the contempt I deserved, as my mother would often say to me.

  208. struth

My girlfriend before Mrs Struth was a nurse at the AS Hospital.

The four year old aboriginal children, the size of new borns, deaf from infection and sick from their mother’s alcoholism, frail with bloated little tummies, and diseases that doctors come to study because they are seen no where else in the developed world, and she, a beautiful young , blonde white woman caring for these children, who needs to go to Africa?

The human misery in our own country is beyond disgraceful.
    As I said earlier today.
That we allow this, caused by excessive welfare and Marxist indoctrination, means we don’t really deserve anything other than the Venezuela coming our way.
There is no line drawn that hasn’t been crossed, and still no action has been taken.
    Our Media are scum.
    True shit.

  209. Myrddin Seren

Just received some pea sized hail from the sky. Whenever it hails I take it as a sign from god that he wants me to have a scotch. As is your will…

Far be it from me to argue with the will of the Almighty – as he casts very large ice for the tumblers down:

5cm hail reported at 4:50pm at Berowra.

    ( Sips )

Makka, a National Lottery to find the wall would work too.

The enthusiasm for it would see punters changing their bet types in order to provide national security.

  211. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Beare

There’s no aboriginal culture in cities at all.
    Redfern has aboriginal culture?
    Let’s be serious.

The only aboriginal culture to be serious about is that found in the early explorer’s accounts – see Spencer and Gillen, and Basedow – and some of the fieldwork of anthropologists in the days before the discipline self-destructed into political correctness and cultural relativism kow-towing to ‘aboriginal practitioners’.

The rest tends to be a modern invention of how things should have been, not how they were.

  212. classical_hero

Mitch M, God is not cruel. The world we live in is punishment for our sins. God made it plainly clear the consequences of disobedience would be. Before man sinned, God called the world “very good”. We certainly don’t live in a good world but rather a world that is cursed and waiting for redemption.

  213. Myrddin Seren

    Trump is a cuck.

Basically they have elected Eric Cartman as POTUS:

‘So Kyle Chuck, Stancy and Kenny-illary. You said I couldn’t get to be President !

And yet – here I am !! You know what this means ?!!’

  214. Makka

    Yes, that Emmet Sullivan;

A federal judge on Wednesday took the extraordinary step of ordering that asylum seekers who sued after their deportation be returned to the U.S. to have their claims heard anew, ruling against the Trump administration’s revised asylum policies. The ruling from U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan in Washington came a day after the same judge presided over a contentious sentencing hearing for former national security adviser Michael Flynn — in which he questioned whether the ex-White House official committed “treason” and accused him of selling out the United States to foreign interests.

    The swamp in action.

  215. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Beare

Once the Israelis have sorted out Trump’s wall, we could ask them over here to make our deserts bloom from all the water that this continent actually has but doesn’t use.

    Inventive people, the Jooos.

  216. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Beare

Meh to the storm. The Sea Fog the other day was much more exciting.

  217. Tailgunner

I’m not seeing a problem with that idea. Like.

Yes. The global, patriot Wall lottery.
We probably should write the God Emperor.
    Catallaxy. On fire.

    Lizzie, it’s not just a storm. It’s a WEATHERBOMB ! 💣

  219. Bruce of Newcastle

Whenever it hails I take it as a sign from god that he wants me to have a scotch.

    Correlation is not causation.

Proven: If you torture a Big Data enough, it will confess to anything (Blazing Cat Fur)

You will get a chortle or two from Spurious Correlations, a web page devoted to graphically persuasive relationships among pairs of sets of entirely unrelated data. For example, you can see the graph of “US spending on science, space and technology” superimposed on that of “Suicides by hanging, strangulation and suffocation.” The staggering 99.79% overlap is a classic in correlation without causation.

Likewise, “Per capita cheese consumption” and “People who died by becoming tangled in their bedsheets” has a correlation of 94.71%.

Admit it! You just want the scotch because it tastes nice (r^2 = 0.983).

  220. Tailgunner

Struth dropping great knowledge. On the reg.
    Keep it up please.
    “play Don’t Change, dickhead!! “

Weather bomb was a total fizzer.

Strong enough for me to have a reason for not mowing the lawns this arvo.
Long may the weather bomb continue.

More scotch, dammit. Keep the ammo coming !!

    LARGE, POSSIBLY GIANT HAILSTONES

Some areas have had baseball/cricket ball size hail. Lots of damage to cars.

  226. Tailgunner

Should I start a “Write a Catallaxy letter to the God Emperor ” thread?
    Seriously.

    Nota,

Yes you DO need to see it first hand, not just read tainted articles by those with an agenda.

As it happens, I spent years on the streets of both Brunswick St and Bridge Rd before going north. The following are facts and are not in dispute.

The urban ‘Aboriginals’ who congregate in the City are very rarely full bloods, and although having a cavalcade of services to minister to them, are by and large crooks.

Their mindset is: wake up, get on (acquire drugs), steal a car, do various burglaries to steal stuff to exchange at Cashies for money used to spend on drugs and maybe grog, try not to get caught by the cops, play the race card when caught, go to sleep. It’s not misery. It’s dedicated criminality.

In the northern communities, they (almost all full bloods) revolve almost solely about alcohol. Kids are forgotten except when benefits are involved. Relatives of those with grog can demand some from them because skin group. If they refuse, that’s where a lot of the DV comes from.

About 0300 one morning on a Tennant Creek street I saw a drunken Aboriginal woman walking along with a tomahawk hanging out of her skull. She was trying to find and exact retribution on ‘my sister that hit me with that axe’. Careful persuasion got her to hospital where she was flown to Adelaide. For free.

You need to experience this stuff first hand Nota, not comment from afar. That’s what caused a lot of the problems in the first place.

  230. Hah! Spoke too soon. Big hailstorm now happening, rattling the roof, especially the tin roof over the terrace. Time for a G & T? 🙂

Friends leaving on the big ship that is passing/just passed your place report massive hailstones – with photos

  231. mh

Tailgunner, what are you trying to do now?

  232. Ubique

    Time for a G & T?

    It’s always time for a G&T.

  233. Oh come on

I don’t think you can trust bust Google, Facebook etc. How would you break them up? How would breaking them up solve the problem?

I think a better way would be to sue them out of their censorious ways. Since they are now disappearing and downranking opinions, voices and sites that they find objectionable, they are no longer carriers of information. They are publishers of information. They decide what is seen and what is not. This means they ought to be liable for defamatory content hosted on their platforms. I am sure there will be a few test cases in the courts attempting to set this precedent – if there aren’t already.

  234. JC

We got hit by hail stones the size in Gool’s linked pic in 2010. It blocked the gutters and the water rose and turned into the roof through the cavities causing the top and lower floors to become swimming pools. We still have an outside Venetian blind with dints. Those things came down like bullets. Never forget. I always thought people were bullshitting about hail stones that size until I saw them with my own eyes.

    You poor miserable bugger.

Your sins must have been dreadful. I’ve done some dumb things in my time, but I’ve never committed a sin. That must be why the world looks to me such a wonderful place and why I’m so happy being in it.

Facebook bypassed privacy controls & granted more intrusive access to user data to Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix, Spotify, Yahoo & more, according to 270 pgs of internal docs obtained by the NYT.

In some cases companies could read/edit users’ private messages

Could make for some interesting legal argumentation about Spacechook messages tendered in court cases.

Prove my client actually wrote that……
