I hate to say this but this skit sounds like its exactly how the climate scam got started , every ridiculous thing they say rings true and has actually happened, looks like its the inventuon of desparate polliemuppets manipulated by senior public employees looking gor more power . Never forget one episode Humpy lunching with treasury boss dicussing tax cut of 1.5 billion PM wants treasury sec objects “he wants 1.5 billion of our money “! Like it was his own money ,probably true .

In that case only Lisa Simpson can be the next president of the USA.

Is this a case of life imitating art?

Of course. But the communists running the CAGW scam have zero sense of humour and, having abolished history, have no idea their cynical money grab was prophetically parodied by the Yes, Minister team four decades ago.

PS: someone in that recording referred to Jim Hacker as “chairman of the (EU) Commission”. Delicious.

I think the 2013 version of Yes Prime Minister was not well accepted by the BBC.

here is a link to the video of the relevant 2013 show episode
    Part 1

    Part 2

Part 2 is the same as the audio above, while part 1 is the informative set up.
the acting is pretty crap compared with the Paul Eddington/NigelHawthorne version. Definitely used stage actors.

fun fact: Paul Eddington also starred as Will Scarlet (quite the ladies’ man), and quite a number of other minor characters in the TV series of Robin Hood (the budget must have been pretty short as they reused actors for different roles quite often. it is obvious if you watch one show after the other all at once, but not something I noticed when I got my one episode at a time, afternoon dose as a kid). All four seasons are on Amazon Prime if you are a binger like me.

And how close to the truth is this Armstrong and Miller sketch on ‘climate change’:

I always thought that “Yes Minister” and “Yes Prime Minister” were more like instructional videos than satire …
