Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged. He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught…..
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 18, 2019
….There is a lot of explaining to do to the millions of people who had just elected a president who they really like and who has done a great job for them with the Military, Vets, Economy and so much more. This was the illegal and treasonous “insurance policy” in full action!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 18, 2019
This is no messing around nor are they vague accusations. Why is this not Front Page News day after day? Is it because the media and a large proportion of the Congress are co-conspirators. Here is more of the story but in an out of the way website: Trump accuses Sessions, Rosenstein, and McCabe of ‘illegal and treasonous’ plot to overthrow him.
But the tweets are genuine and the President could not be more clear or direct. You really do need to wonder why this is not the first item in every newscast. If this were in any way a sign that PDT had gone off the deep end it would be. Since the evidence is now so overwhelming that this is actually what took place, why does everyone just seem to do their best to hide this attempted coup in the midst of the American democratic system from view. Does no one really care?
If this was illegal and treasonous, why aren’t these people being arrested? The icy calm in the midst of it, where this is said by the President but no one says or does anything, not even responding to what he said, is bizarre. And there’s nothing I can see at Drudge, Instapundit or Breitbart. It’s a mystery, a complete mystery.
Washington establishment don’t want change. DT wants change.
Have a closer look at Instapundit. Steve.
Instapundit covered a VDH article which set out full details of their treasonous conduct. Not sure he cares much for pres tweets.
Curious that the FBI deflected requests to investigate Sessions, clearing him before any real investigation even began. Shades of the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton.
Ummm, didn’t Trump appointment Sessions?
Another symptom of the calamity that President Trump has caused.
His election was a black swan event and has forced the elites and agitators to break cover and show their colours, and hastened their acting on their plan.
Sessions was even considered as a running mate for Trump during the campaign. But Sessions protected Rosenstein and facilitated the appointment of Mueller while using his unnecessarily extensive recusal to wash his hands of the consequences.
I have said for years that it is not what you do it is who you are. Never is it so clear. Those who are in on the game can do anything they like. Anything those who are not do is twisted and distorted at will. Tony Abbott could have cured world hunger and the MSM would still have despised him. The facts do not matter one bit, it is the message that counts. I am increasingly thinking we are already done.
Yes he did and I don’t want make excuses but to say it looks like its impossible to do anything over there without stepping into the swamp.
All things aside,
“This was the illegal and treasonous… “ is a big call which presumably needs to be backed up by big action. I wish him all the best. He is performing better than i thought possible. This is not a job for the weak hearted. God speed Trump.
The Don made a point in SOTU about America being a “land of redemption”.
I’d assumed this was going to be used to get himself off the hook one day, but perhaps he first has to redeem himself in the swamp by forgiving a few swampies? Who knows how this guy thinks?
President Trump is great at pretending to not know what’s going on. He’s truly the master of puppets.

Two options, really.
1. There’s insufficient evidence of a crime
2. There’s a vast, far-reaching, unprecedented conspiracy against the President which is preventing him from properly fulfilling his role as the head of the executive and preventing him from enforcing the law.
Rational people can make their own determination of which is more likely.
Because the Trump administration is incompetent, which is the real story here, not what the media is or isn’t reporting.
Because the Republican Party in Congress are not on his side, just look at what they did with the border wall bill in Senate where they have a majority.
The DC swamp is deep and murky, and Trump has maybe half a dozen friends there.
If not so much in this particular case, certainly as a beginning point, not all people who share an objective are colluding or conspiring.
Look at the AGW crowd: They are just so many flies scurring all over a turd, all with the same purpose but no unity of purpose. And so long as there is plenty of shit for them all they have no reason to try to steal from each other.
Most of the media hate Trump (because their purpose is to control information and therefore people). The Dimocrats hate him because he is keeping them from political power. At one level there might be coordination of efforts which can eventually morph into actual conspiracy, but most are just too small minded.
The media story though, is that the Trump administration has been competent, but the MSM really want incompetence.
Whilst not main stream media, there is also an article over at American Thinker.
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2019/02/crime_and_punishment_for_the_deep_state.html
According to Mark Steyn “we’ve trained ourselves not to notice any of the big things, but we notice small things punitively.”
https://www.steynonline.com/9189/noticing-and-not-noticing
Jeff Sessions (another beauty) is the prime suspect here. When he saw which way the Rosenstein, McCabe Comey, Mueller were heading he should have unrecused himself and reined in the bastards or resigned so someone else could have. Instead he stood aside and watched as if his work there was done.
In the meantime, Shrillary and Obongo continue to stagger around knowing they’ll never be held to account for their undoubted criminal behaviour. Uranium One, anyone? Iranian nukes? Benghazi? Unsecured servers and emails?
And to think that poor ol’ Weiner’s languishing in gaol, having ended up there in the most farcical of circumstances.
BTW, is m0nty’s beloved and seemingly interminable “Two Dogs” Mueller northingburger still dragging on? Or have those 11 election swinging Wussian internet trolls seen the error of their ways and all turned themselves in?
The job of the msm is to cover stories, with a pillow until it stops moving. – Iowahawk
Look at the msm as democratic operatives with bylines. – instapundit
Both quotes aren’t verbatim.
Trump almost has to go after the key conspirators to prove his legitimacy. It would be Sessions, McCabe and Rosenstein, and perhaps Comey, Mueller and others would follow. If this conspiracy is correct, then the evidence will be in the FBI and DOJ files that still havent seen the light of day. When that is over, with no further roadblocks the Clinton Foundation would be next.
Trump is battling the Democrats and the Republicans, as well as the Deep State. Letting all this slide is also probably not in Trump’s nature. A perfect run-up for the next presidential election?
Hi Steve, try Americanthinker.
TGS sums it up nicely.
It is most emphatically not in Trump’s nature. Read any of his books, and you’ll see that he insists on eventually answering disloyalty and insult. But I’m not so sure it’s the perfect run-up for the next election. This 4D chess concept — we’ll keep losing until we win — never quite seems to work out. Of course, I’m happy to be shown wrong. But if so, I hope I’m shown wrong soon. Because the sedition hasn’t stopped, the seditionists haven’t given up, members of the legacy press are (as someone above said) unindicted co-conspirators, and the longer they all get away with this rolling coup attempt the greater their chances of either succeeding or else escaping the noose.
You’re all jumping the gun. We only know what is said publicly, and Trump is playing that game too.
At this point it’s all about the 2020 election, so narrative is everything. This keeps the true believers following.
This hasn’t played out yet. 6 years to go.
“This McCabe guy is a pathological liar, but I believe everything he’s saying about this now.” is not exactly a coherent position.
That said, there was/is definitely a conspiracy to undo the 2016 election, and cover up Clinton malfeasance. I look forward to Trump’s DoJ replacement appointing a special prosecutor for this.
Everyone is waiting to see if the new AG Barr is on Trumps side and will start draining the Swamp. Rosenstein is the first to go in the next couple of weeks but what happens to all the traitors is going to be the test. Joe Di Genova seems very happy that things are moving in the right direction.
Monty knows.
“But the tweets are genuine and the President could not be more clear or direct.”
Indeed.
If false, is it not libel?
No mention of that yet….One wonders why that would be. Not enough time yet? How long before a lack of such actions becomes significant in and of itself?
It would be interesting if the tweets were to result in a law suit.
Disclosure would be ever so much fun!
Perhaps Onkicks knows.
Mueller knows that McCabe’s claims provide prima facie evidence of misconduct by DOJ/FBI/exec cabinet officials implying “adversarial intelligence activities directed against American interests”. Confirmation would prompt Dan Coates to initiate an operation to defeat those activities and that would likely annul Mueller’s investigation.
