Karens & Brads*: Stormtroopers of state-sanctioned hysteria

Their grandfathers leapt from landing barges onto the beaches of Normandy. Just look at them:

There is nobody quite so nasty as the urban middle class lefty Brit. It’s their country’s rich legacy of class hatred, only slightly updated. These creeps are like Boris Johnson’s “neighbours”, calling in the cops over raised voices heard through the party wall.

  2. C.L.

    That woman’s voice.

Just as he ducks down the side of his house, one of the pap/photographers can be heard asking “how many lives have you lost (or cost) this evening?”

  3. Lee

The Left is no longer hiding its support of authoritarianism.

  4. Alex

While mouthing off look at them all breaking the required social distancing. Hypocrites all. And all from the same snowflake generation. Poor bugger Great Britain. There will be a remake of a famous NZ movie in GB to be called Once were Courageous.

  5. Nob

The UK left is overjoyed at this.

They had little to say about Ferguson’s fuck buddy frolics but Cummings has been their Brexit bete noir since they heard about his role.

He’s also pissed off a fair few Tories in his time who would like to see him gone.

  6. Graham

Fear does remarkable things to human beings. As an instrument of control it is without peer.

  7. Free Radical

Meh. Rules for thee, not for me. Cummings was one of the primary urgers for a strict lockdown. Decided it didn’t apply to him and his wife.

Not only did he drive 400+ kms to Durham while both he and the Mrs had COVID-19, he also took her and the kids on a sight seeing drive for her birthday. Now claims that little sojourn was to test his eyesight to be sure he was safe to drive back to London. He’s not just a fuckwit, he’s a lying fuckwit.

  8. C.L.

    Yeah, that’s also true.
It’s getting pretty hard to find the good guys in any story these days.

That said, this now publicly acceptable mobbing and abuse of corona-wrongdoers is disturbing.

  9. Terry

‘Fear does remarkable things to human beings.’

These people are not acting under fear, they are indulging their authoritarian fetishes and pleasuring themselves all the way to orgasmic delight.

They are creepily humping your leg, for your own good and to keep you safe, whether you like it or not.

  10. Infidel Tiger King

    Mass hysteria.

    Globalised hysteria.

Interesting time to be alive. It sucks dick, but it is interesting.

    Correct.

The faux outrage is interesting. I like Rita Panahi but I disagree with her on this.
This guy is a hypocrite at best.
Isolation does not apply to certain people apparently.

Well – if you and your wife were sick with covid, worried you be incapacitated (or worse), what wiuld you do with your young child?

Taking him/her to the grandparents sounds like an eminently sensible plan.

I don’t know about the driving eyesight – maybe he’s a hypocrite because of that.

Speaking of hypocrites, are the wuzzers going to stand around and yell obscenities at the NRL on their re-opener? No-one else can play team sports.

  13. Mustapha Bunn

I see that Verhofstadt has poked his nose into the Cummings Affair and has been told to piss off as it is nothing to do with him …. I’d suggest that Cuckoo should also.

  14. Squirrel

Typical whingeing Poms – at least he wasn’t decamping to Devon with a handsome young friend.

  15. jupes

Not much social distancing going on there.

  16. tgs

There’s nothing worse than a shrill leftist meddling in other people’s business fueled by their sense of self-righteousness.

    Fuck off you loons.

  17. Cassie of Sydney

Modern Britain….a very sad place….full of snitches. As for Cummings….They loathe him because of his pivotal role in Brexit and getting Boris elected. He should just have turned around and told the scum to “fuck off”.

As far as I can discover there was no UK “strict lockdown” there were official guidelines.

Local police departments may have taken it into their heads to get “strict” but no actual laws exist.

As for whether Cummings acted contrary to these guidelines that depends on whether you see his travel as “essential” or not, and I guess that’s anyone’s opinion. Hard to argue with someone looking after his own sick wife and kid in their own home … but whether he really needed to zoom off to some farm out of town is quite questionable. You can say “abundance of precaution” which can mean stay home or it can mean go out depending on what type of abundance you prefer today.

As for who specifically is responsible for writing such things, everyone is responsible and no one at all. None of the functionaries ever put their hand up to say, “I did that!”

  19. Robber Baron

Based on what l just saw in that video, even the French would defeat the Brits.

They have become a nation of cucks.

  20. miltonf

Makes me glad my forbears emigrated.

  21. miltonf

This degeneration into a stalinist police state confirms how useless the royals are. Anthony Sampson, whose argument I used to buy, argued the royals were some sort of buffer against tyranny. Not so.

  22. Soberinthemorning

Cummings is an entitled hypocrite. His eye sight test story is laughable.

He’d be a hero if he he had actually said, yes I did it because the lockdown is nonsense. But he weaselled.

As to the mob outside his house he should have put the hose on them.

    Double plus good.

  24. Rebel with cause

Cummings is a coward who doesn’t have the courage of his own convictions.

The “squashing Brexit delay plan” sounds like a very convenient story to try to reinforce his tough guy convictions. If true, which of the nameless “underlings” has been fired? My guess – none.

The only thing you can be sure of with people like Cummings is that it is all spin. All of it.

  25. These guys are all crabs, can we get a bucket? 🤣😎👍

  26. Roger

    +1

A lot of Brits have suffered under the lockdown he imposed.

Rules for thee but not for me.

    Agree with everything you wrote.

  28. Spurgeon Monkfish III

Brendan O’Neill made some very interesting observations on Bolt last night about the Cummings imbroglio. Whether or not you agree with what Cummings did (he allegedly decamped to Durham because his family was there) the simple fact is the braindead lamestream meeja in the UK are now fabricating all sorts of ridiculous add ons to the “scandal” in order to have that fat preposterous mop headed imbecile sack him.

My view is that the “rules are for the little people” mentality is wrong, no matter who the arrogant bastard is that’s spouting it.

BTW, has Perfesser Pantsdown, the Ayatollah of Wrong and Rolla, been sacked yet?

No. Of course not. Only alleged conservatives lose their jobs when breaching fascist rules imposed on the little people.

  29. duncanm

    Dan Kaufman is a Karen.

I have a message for knuckle-dragging engine-running bastards who keep their cars idling

Just the other day I saw a guy in the driver’s seat crack open a beer while checking out his phone, oblivious to the toxic gasses spewing out his exhaust. That, surely, should be against the law.

  30. French Aussie

What a bunch of small minded tossers.

  31. Andre Lewis

If Cummings broke the lockdown rules then the local stasi in police uniforms can fine him like they do anyone else who does the same. Quite why he also has to lose his job when others just get the fine is not as clear. Oh, that’s right, he planned Brexit for Boris so enough said – he has to go.

  32. Hay Stockard

    Andre Lewis,
I believe all lockdown fines in the UK have been quashed.
    He’s still a monstrous hypocrite.
