GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. – Police have identified two suspects wanted in connection with the murder of a former Gwinnett County deputy.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, Tavares Norah, 25, and Prince Robertson, 27, are wanted for the shooting death of 63-year-old Felix Cosme, of Dacula.

Cosme was working at O’Reilly Auto Parts at 2786 Hamilton Mill Road on January 8 when he was shot and killed while trying to stop a robbery.

“Sergeant Cosme died a hero’s death as he attempted to protect himself and a female co-worker from a violent criminal with no regard for human life,” the sheriff’s office previously said.

The teen birth rate in 2018 was less than half of what it was 10 years ago, according to figures just released.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Center for Health Statistics report that there were 179,871 births to mothers ages 15 to 19 in 2018- or 17 per 1,000 teens of that age range in the United States. In 2009, the figure was 38 per 1,000.

The drop from 2017 to 2018 also was significant. The number of births in 2017 was 194,377- or 19 per 1,000 females. The reduction from 19 per 1,000 to 17 per 1,000 between those two years was the largest in percentage terms since 2013.

Tony Mokbel’s young jailhouse attackers were given a stern warning along with a whopping sentence for the attack that nearly killed the drug kingpin — but it didn’t deter them from having a laugh in court.

Tony Mokbel’s jailhouse attackers have been warned they are not heroes and will “end up drug-addled lonely old men” if they continue their violent criminal ways.

County Court judge Liz Gaynor gave Teuira Bennett and Eldea Teuira the stern warning as she ordered the pair be locked up for more than double the four-year mandatory sentencing.

Bennett, 21, and Teuira, 22, were both jailed for 10 years over the frenzied attack that almost killed Mokbel at Barwon Prison on February 11 last year.

The pair were initially facing an attempted murder charge, but in a prosecution plea deal they pleaded guilty to intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence.

They also pleaded guilty to a second charge of recklessly causing injury to an associate of Mokbel’s who was stabbed when he ran to his aid.

Judge Gaynor said the attack with three shivs — one made by sharpened wire, the other a fork — was to assert the dominance of the G-Fam group of Pacific Islander inmates in the prison system.

    The Cashless Society?
    Hi Struth

I got a taste today of what we can expect to come – a cashless society.

The missive came from my private health fund, (which is excellent by the way), announcing some post pandemic changes.

One of those is that they will no longer be accepting cash in any of their outlets. Apparently it’s to protect their workers from cash borne disease.

That’s a load of nonsense of course but it serves a narrative that has long been building.

Before I get into that, I should let you know that I actually thought to deny cash payments in settlement of a debt was to extinguish the debt (with some exceptions).

Based on the decision of my health fund that theory is not correct.

In any event, their announcement won’t have any impact on me as I never even knew they had outlets that dealt in cash. I have always paid on credit card.

However, this decision is the precursor to a movement that will have an impact on all of us. That’s the move to a cashless society.

’Everyone’ knows cash is dirty because it passes through so many hands. Yet it hasn’t been responsible for any health epidemic that I can recall. But governments and business consider it dirty because it impacts them.

When people deal in cash there is a risk that it can be stolen or the appropriate taxes are not paid. Cash is very hard to trace and supports the ’black’ economy.

It’s also in much reduced use. One recent survey suggests that 90 percent of transactions are now cashless.

So why should the move to a cashless society for the law abiding citizen be of any concern?

For me, one major concern is privacy. Yes, that strange old thing that people trade in exchange for Facebook access and Google usage.

I don’t want the government or my bank or the tax office to know where I spend every dollar I earn. Who knows, they could even use that information against me!

We’ve all heard the stories of home loans denied because of too many smashed avocado breakfasts but think how far this could go.

If the details of your every transaction is a matter of record then it can be used by government and big business against you.

Imagine if you spend too much at Dan Murphy’s or on chips at the local takeaway…you might find it hard to get health insurance. Perhaps you want to purchase some intimate personal item and would prefer no digital record of it. That would be nigh impossible with a cash ban. That’s just the start.

Your data, your spending habits would be available to all. It would detail your habits, desires, impulses and proclivities and could easily be used against you.

That might not bother some of you but I don’t want that for me or for anyone else. Unfortunately it is coming and when it is implemented your right to financial privacy will effectively be lost for good.

    Until next week

We are now at the commencment of the greatest sociological change in human history ,the desocialisation of the people . In stone age times people were in small family groups and had little contact outside of their group ,then farming started and people started grouping together for mutual protection ,travel became easier and people mixed with all cultures ,empires ,white settlement on other continents etc . Globalism was invented too unite all people under a fascist leadership ,EU the UN etc , Davos leading the way all progressing towards the Globalist goal . But then along comes the Barnier : Wuhan Plague promoting totally fascist responses ,by the political class , depriving people of the right to socialise ,limiting the right to travel and destroying civilisation as we knew it . Life will never be quite the same ,people have been cowed into submission and the political class have tasted total power ,and they like it . We are going to havee to make major cham\nges to our system to regain freedom ,it will be a bitter struggle but it can be achieved . The antifa fascist black heads are symptoatic of the global fascist response to grab power ,they never admit defeat ,”we won the narrative and lost the election “ US decromats ,UK labour, ALP , they all sing from the same songbook . Maketge decromats pay in November ,destroy their political icareers ,make them find a real job ,if anyone willemploy them .

    Y (big)
    Z (small)

This is a signal that goes right back into the 19th century, and persists despite immigration.
Gen Y are in their twenties and thirties. They should be buying homes, building careers and moving away from the left wing stupidity.
Large generations stretch resources and exceed the bounds of society to restrain their youthful obsessions.
Corporations and institutions end up pandering to them.
Small generations have to pick their way through the detritus and disruption left behind by the big generations.

He rightly warned him that the virus threat was real and that the borders needed closing.

He never called for an economic shutdown.

Maybe, but if you read this interview with him it’s hard to know what action he wanted Trump to take:

Tell me what it is that you conveyed to him.

I said exactly what I’ve said on TV, which is this could be really bad. My view is that we may have missed the point where we can control it. Once you get cases of community transmission, as we have all over the country now, by then it was clear it was happening. I know someone very well who was in the ICU—a personal friend of mine who I had just had dinner with a month and a half ago was in the ICU with double pneumonia and struggling for life. And so I just want to make it clear this is totally real; people you know are going to get it. And I’m concerned based on conversations I’ve had that we don’t have the medical capacity to deal with it. I think it’d be very hard to keep it from spreading given the nature of American life.

So my concern was that we may not have the capacity to take all these patients and that we may not have the drugs to treat them. And by the way, at this exact moment, two days before the official daily of the Chinese Communist Party issued a threat to the United States: Maybe we’ll initiate an embargo on all antibiotics, 97% of which are manufactured in China. So the Chinese government is threatening to shut down our supply of pharmaceuticals. I didn’t make that up. That was in print. And if that’s not ominous, I’m not sure what it is. If that’s not a reminder that we need to have control over the essentials, I don’t know what is.

The purpose of the lockdown/isolation procedures was to bankrupt the country to the point of creating the “need” to “repurpose” the three trillion dollars currently in superannuation funds, into “infrastructure investment” to create employment. It never had anything to do with a so-called pandemic, real or fake.

Similar underlying reasons exist in the other UKUSA Pact countries – The UK, the USA, Canada and New Zealand. These five countries are acting in lockstep with each other, and have been since the begining of all this back in February/March. Here in Oz at least, the purpose will become clearer with the “Budget”, currently set to be delivered in October. Unfortunately, things have to get worse before that, to create the “need” for the austerity measures that will be delivered at that time.

In the meantime the attention of the general population will continue to be distracted by inconsequential deaths, Antifa riots, “Black Lives Matter” rallies, and other contrived trivia.

    Sir- or, Madam-

Cameron Stewart mentioned protests, peaceful protests, protesters and peaceful protesters nearly a dozen times before he gets around to acknowledging the violence, destruction and looting throughout the U.S. that has left cities razed and at least eight dead (“Teargas clears way foe President’s ‘law and order’ walk”, news, 3/6″). And, though he sneers at reproducing a “confected photo opportunity for the ages”- as if no President before has had their image managed- the photographs accompanying tell a more fulsome story of masked looters, ostentatious kneeling and police covered in protective gear and shields- strangely in this age of a camera in every hand, none of the tumbling tear gas canisters or peaceful protesters suffering under rubber bullet fire that are promised by the reportage.
And the modest front page shot of President Trump also shows more than may have been intended by the author- a pensive man, head bowed, vulnerable in a streetscape covered with wanton and ornate graffiti declaiming “BLM”, but “F#CK 12” and “FT”- a reminder to anyone who’s paying attention that, as well as the police, the President is a prize scalp for the radicals who are hiding in the mob. You might have compassion fatigue, Mr Stewart, but check your bias- you’re missing the story here.

Most of us…despite our spats (and we have good spats)….share the same concerns…we may disagree on some things but fundamentally we’re here to talk with like minded people who are worried about the course of western democracies….under siege from the left….and we agree on the basics. We take pride in western civilisation and we take pride in our Jooooodaic Christian heritage. Most of us here are very, very concerned at the progressive left’s march through every institution in our society…they have contaminated and destroyed everything…schools, kindergartens, academia, corporations…everything…and that is their aim…by politicising everything they destroy everything. I sense from the frantic urgency in ALL media outlets that the word has got out that this is the last best chance to get Trump.
They have tried very hard to condemn him over his handling of the Coronavirus emergency, a pandemic that mysteriously appeared at about the same time US/China trade negotiations were getting serious and Trump appeared to have a superior negotiating position.
Then the death of a black bloke which has set off the biggest overreaction in history, an excuse for wanton destruction of private property by cowards who know that they are unlikely to be apprehended. Day by day, Trump has become the focus rather than the riots, as if this mayhem has somehow been his doing. The media are after payback for all the times Trump has labelled them(correctly) fake media.

So did my darling dad (now departed).

    Hi Shelley.

Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit overwhelmed just now. We are with you, even if your friends and relatives are a bit of a disappointment at present. It happens to most people when times get a bit tough – you realise just how thin the veneer of civility and real suppport can be.

FWIIW, my survival strategy is to make sure that I ingest (if that’s the word) a lot of positive stuff, or just plain escapism, to counterbalance all the crap.

Read P G Wodehouse or any other favourites which are uplifting in bed before sleep. Youtube and Dailymotion have a trove of tens of thousands of movies and TV spisodes which can be viewed for nothing. Find a genre, or just some old titles that you like, and watch them instead of TV. Do not read, watch or listen to the MSM – it’s both inaccurate and designed to scare people and make them anxious. Instead, read sites like Breitbart, American Thinker and others recommended by people here, including humorous ones like The Bee and Week in Pictures.

And, come here and have a chinwag. People talk about all kinds of things on the Open Thread, from cooking to gardening to fillums to Japanese lathes, FGS! 🙂 Tell us what floats your boat – no matter how obscure it is, somebody is bound to also be interested in it.

In brief, turn the volume of bad news way down and good stuff way up. Anyway, that’s what works for me. It is nobody’s responsibility to carry the weight of the world!

We were banned even though we had long ago expressed our condolences to Mr. Zakaria and even featured him in a special edition of the popular Poor Me magazine dedicated to people who see themselves as victims.

This virus analyses the motives of its potential victims and can determine who is worthy of being passed over and who should be targeted for destruction. That is why we are still unable to worship together or give our money to small businesses because the virus must have been engineered in such a way to determine that these are not legitimate reasons to gather. The virus knows that it’s admirable to destroy aforementioned churches and small businesses, so when people gather to wreak havoc on these buildings, they should be spared.

WYNNEWOOD, Okla. (AP) — A federal judge in Oklahoma has awarded ownership of the zoo made famous in Netflix’s “Tiger King” docuseries to Joe Exotic’s chief rival.

In a ruling Monday, U.S. District Judge Scott Palk granted control of the Oklahoma zoo that was previously run by Joseph Maldonado-Passage — also known as Joe Exotic — to Big Cat Rescue Corp.

Think about all the things you worried about over the decades.
How many of them ended up being actual problems?
Whereas the actual problems, when they materialised, how many of them were things you had spent a lot of time worrying about?

I decided that nothing because for example if it was the riddance of Trump, there would be something else that was making them unhappy afterwards so it would be onto the next thing to protest against .
