Indeed, as Dr Turley said, this is the “speak softly, but carry a big stick” approach. It’s not perfect, because in an imperfect world that is an impossible ideal, but it demonstrates effective leadership.

No other option- no sane, decent person wants another Bolshevik revolution.

Hmm, will this action be like the crack team of ace specialists required to dismantle the “Capitol Hill Organized Protest” ??

It turns out that the key to ending #CHOP was waking up before 10 a.m.

Given that was the action of a Democrat Mayor who not only supported CHAS but referred to it as a “summer of love” until the moment the protestors showed up at HER supposedly top secret home address, nah.

The trouble I see with this is you end up with a few Darebin City Councils in a couple of your Cantons and suddenly you’ve got a CHAZ/CHOP on your hands.

The rabble rousers usually feel safe invisible among their numerous roused rabble. As does the rabble.

Targeted arrests for specific acts will take away some of that feeling of immunity for both.

Moreover, the rabble with their courage fortified by numbers don’t have as much courage or commitment when alone, in a police interrogation room. Many will roll over on each other in a heartbeat.
