Kristi Noem for president (in 2024)

And Tom Cotton for VP. Watch it through. If you start, you will get to the end, and it is half an hour long.

She gets it in a way almost no one else does, other than Donald Trump. And the “it” that she gets are the principles of both political freedom and economic freedom and how these should be melded into dealing with the Covid-1984, What’s more, with her you get Donald and Melania all in a single package.

Watch the vid and then check out its source: POSTED ON JULY 8, 2020 BY JOHN HINDERAKER IN CONSERVATISM, CORONAVIRUS, REPUBLICANS CHECK OUT ONE OF THE GOP’S BRIGHTEST STARS.

Copy to Scott Morrison, Daniel Andrews and especially Michael O’Brien (who?). O’Brien especially needs to learn the principles necessary to make the case against Dangerous Dan. As for Scott, see CL on Speak for Yourself.

She’d have my vote for sure.

  2. Bruce of Newcastle

She can be VP to Candace Owens.

  3. Rob MW

Watched it earlier direct on Powerline.

Certainly a very impressive person/politician and Women. Is it just me or are the Republican/Conservative chicks a lot better looking than the socialist screechers ? Sorry, shouldn’t have asked, they are fucking ugly inside & out.

    The Courage To Say No

    .
I wrote here about South Dakota’s Governor Kristi Noem, who is approaching heroic status. She stood alone against the tide of governors issuing stay-home fiats amid the coronavirus panic, taking the principled position that Americans are free people, not subject to arbitrary orders from their governors. What a refreshing idea! She also said that South Dakotans are smart–smart enough to do a better job of looking after their own health than the government could ever do. Therefore, her administration compiled and published data and gave advice, but she steadfastly refused to order anyone to do anything.
    .
For that, she withstood a torrent of abuse from the likes of the Washington Post, the Associated Press and her home state newspapers. (Even in South Dakota, reporters are Democrats.)
    .
On Wednesday, July 8, at noon Central, Center of the American Experiment will sponsor a webinar featuring Governor Noem. She will talk about her approach to the COVID epidemic, and how it has worked so far. (Preview: South Dakota has the nation’s lowest unemployment rate and a COVID fatality rate that is a fraction of Minnesota’s and most other states’.) You can sign up here.
    .
I will ask her about the politics of COVID shutdowns. It seemed obvious to me that most governors were keeping an eye on one another, moving more or less in concert, on the theory that if they all did more or less the same thing they couldn’t be criticized. Like members of a cartel, they were horrified when one member of the group–Governor Noem–declined to participate and went her own way. That allowed a comparison of results that liberal governors were desperate to avoid, which I think accounts for the viciousness of the attacks on Governor Noem.
    .
I may ask her about her interest in being on the GOP’s national ticket in 2024–a great idea in my opinion–and I definitely will ask her about reports that leftists may attack Mount Rushmore.

Interesting comment about Presidential election 2024 – because that could pit her against Nikki Haley.

  5. Michael O’Brien (who?)

I guessed who you were referring to, but if someone had asked me who the Victoristan opposition leader was, I couldn’t answer. In fact, I could only name my local member out of the entire lot.

  6. To add to the above, I’d go so far as to say if you lined up the opposition, I wouldn’t even know they were the opposition. As far as Labor goes, mostly I couldn’t name them either (as I don;t care about them), but I would certainly recognise who they belong to because of their constant TV appearances.

Donald Trump, arguably the most left wing and corrupt president America has ever had, responsible for all record smashing spending and expansion of the regulatory state, as well as America’s surrender on all fronts to ALL of it’s enemies abroad, “gets” political freedom and economic freedom?

    K.

Just a reminder about Halley’s work

And she is a woman of colour – sort of. Do Sikhs count?

Hmmm…I posted a comment but it seems to have strayed off to oblivion.

Hope I have not been smoted.

  10. Philip Brown

A very presidential lady indeed. And though she declines the job quite definitely she had just told her story of growing up tasked by her Dad with impossible jobs! The perfect CV for someone taking on the presidency!

Re Michael O’ Brien nice enough no charisma and no way of getting through left Dan Andrews supporting media., although Neil Mitchell reckons they are starting to be a wake up to Andrews.
Was Kristi the one that did intro to Trump at Mt Rushmore?
And Steve perhaps you can tell me how to get important articles or you tubes past the sentries in the office of politicians . I have sent on michael Moore’s documentary , Shellenberger’s articles and last year handed to Josh a picture of Der Spiegel’s cover with questions I asked like if this is the result of Germany ‘s spend on renewables what will it cost Australia? I note this cover was used recently by Shellenberger when explaining why renewables will not work. This morning another renewable monstrosity announced for NSW.
Anyway whatever we are doing is not working .

    1. OK, Michael O’Brien, I give in who is he? Is he the QLD opposition leader or the TAS premier or the SA premier or the shite shuffler in Melbourne?

    2. In regard to “Donald Trump, arguably the most left wing and corrupt president America has ever had, responsible for all record smashing spending and expansion of the regulatory state, as well as America’s surrender on all fronts to ALL of it’s enemies abroad, “gets” political freedom and economic freedom?”

You mean he was more corrupt that Obama corrupting the FBI,CIA and IRS to begin, the regime that introduced thousands of regulations beyond anything prior? I can’t stop laughing, please IADH stop it or I’ll have to take my Hillary/Biden pill, you know the green one that makes you stumble over everything. If corruption could win an election then Biden is in with a great chance. IADH, open the other eye and see the world for what it is.

  13. One of the Demonrats biggest weapon, and one that almost got Killary over the line, is their desire to elect the first female president. Far too many soccer moms just go along with this stupid concept.
This terrific lady would take that important weapon away from the Demonrats.
She could be teamed up with Cotton or Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida.

Her biggest obstacle will be Nikki Haley of the Uniparty. Haley would have the Republican machine behind her. She is angling already.

  14. Kneel

“…Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida.”

Perhaps not – he caved in and ordered MANDATORY face masks for citizens in public places, including restaurants and bars. Interesting that masks are mandatory in restaurants – do you eat the mask as well? Eat through it? How does that work?
Than again, if he’s just bowing to pressure, then maybe with Kristi in charge, he won’t need to cave in… not as much, anyway.
On the plus side for DeSantis, CV deaths per 100k is 10 times lower in Florida than in NYC, despite a slightly bigger population and despite a much higher average age (plenty of retirees in Florida!) And the Florida state budget is in much better shape than any of the Dimocrat run states – and no state income tax either.

  15. Zatara

Perhaps not – he caved in and ordered MANDATORY face masks for citizens in public places,

No, he didn’t. And he won’t.

DeSantis won’t order statewide mask use but says local mandates are OK with him

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings wrote to DeSantis asking for such an order after he opted to require masks in his county, but the governor on Friday called it a “local decision” that he wouldn’t impose across Florida.

So, vote for Biden … you know you want to …. then you’ll learn about left-wing and corruption, spending and expansion of the regulatory state – in spades!! And then you’ll wish Trump was back!
