If someone wants to be offended they will find some way to find it.

J’ismists are embarrassing ignorant irredeemable idiots.

Again, this is simply beyond parody. You would have thought that after the Jussie and Bubba self beclownings that j’ismists might perhaps exercise some sensible skepticism and engage in some actual investigation of the alleged incidents – i.e. “investigative journalism”, as opposed to “quality j’ism” (as she is purveyed).

Absolutely hopeless. Why supposedly sentient beings continue to pay for such rubbish is beyond me.

Now i know why the Aussies nickname for Yanks is SEPPO. They are absolutely full of it.

  5. exsteelworker

The term seppo is Australian slang used to make fun of Americans. It’s said to come from rhyming slang, with Yank rhyming with septic tank. … But also, this slang term implies some Australians’ view of Americans: that, like septic tanks, they’re full of sh**

    Mark Twain!

    https://www.steamboats.org/history-education/glossary/lead_line.html

    lead line
A weighted rope with marked increments that was used to measure the river’s depth, mostly used on the Mississippi River. A sounding pole is generally used on the Ohio River. The cord is marked off into fathoms and fractions thereof: one fathom (six feet) is termed mark one; two fathoms is mark twain; three fathoms is mark three and four fathoms is mark four. Above mark four is no bottom. The person who takes the soundings with a lead line and calls them to the pilot is called the leadsman. The leadsman sang out the depth in a voice loud enough to be heard in the pilothouse.

    Quarter-less Twain- 10 1/2 feet
    Mark Twain – 12 feet
    Quarter Twain – 13 1/2 feet
    Half Twain- 15 feet
    Quarter-less Three – 16 1/2 feet
    Mark Three – 18 feet
    Quarter Three- 19 1/2
    Half Three – 21 feet
    Quarter-less four – 22 1/2 feet
    Mark Four – 24 feet
    Deep Four – 25 feet
Over 25 feet – No Bottom- ain’t got no bottom.

Probably a NASCAR driver out lynching black drivers.

The great Thomas Sowell (black American economist, philosopher and a tower of common sense..now 90) said that “racism is still alive in the US but it is on life support kept alive by self serving politicians, race hustlers and people who derive satisfaction on calling others racist” Bill Blasio is all three………..contemptible man.

  9. Mother Lode

Progressives must be forever annihilating traditions and forms as obsolete symbols so they can pretend they are creating a clean slate to distance themselves from their failures that dog their heels like a particularly ferocious and tenacious piece of toilet paper.

It is like the way in Australia we had the left trying to get rid of the Union Jack on the flag. It is a symbol. But it means they can talk about the need for…whatever…so they don’t have to admit that, if they had got their way in the 50’s and 60’s we would have ended up like the old Soviet Union.

Now we have an economic and social malaise thanks to their economic and social policies – we need a republic!

(Oh, I include plenty of the Liberal party as progressives. They are like black holes that shed no light and lend no colour – but they make great lenses for the progressives that gravitate toward them.

How long before they go after Pawnee?

  11. billie

why do some Americans have a real thing about “loops of rope” ?

    guilty conscience?

always seems to be the left who freaks out at this too

jeez, get a life or even a minor hobby

    Hold it right there!

I don’t know about this Tame fellow or Twin or whatever, he sounds like he is very last century or the century before, therefore he has no relevance to modern progressive metrics, triggers, narratives and oppressions with which I identify.

You have thoughtlessly used the misogynistic dismissive “leadsman”. The only correct term is leadsperson. Leadsperson.

Use it or prepare to be made to fall about laughing helplessly by hysterical sheilas throwing punches at you like a girl.

  13. RJH

And you have these “Jems of Wisdom” from China Joe, which you couldn’t make up if you tried? If the voters of the US of A vote him in knowing this, we are all well and truly F-CKED!

Even when there is no canned laughter Americans hosting visual presentations believe forced laughter is an essential element.

That video is near unwatchable while the unknown faces on the left loudly demonstrate, unnecessarily, that they think what is being shown is ruly, ruly funny. Shame about the spoken words obscured by their noise.

Dexter’s lead line isn’t graduated, so I expect he used it as a reference to keep an upright stance after consuming the fluid in one of those barrels.
Appearances suggest the Algonquin chap, leaning on his bow, might have been more interested in the beaverskin than the skinful.

    Exactly! My first thought also.

These so-called journalists don’t even know how Sam Clemens adopted his pen name.

“racism is still alive in the US but it is on life support kept alive by self serving politicians, race hustlers and people who derive satisfaction on calling others racist”

Or, as one well known US actor of “color”(sic) put it: “Race is only an issue [in the USA] if you make it an issue”

with Yank rhyming with septic tank.

A lady from Taexas once informed me , when discussing American presidents and John F Kennedy “he was a damnyankee”
I hadn’t known it was one word.

Is the NYT staffed by morons or race-stirrers?
    I’m guessing both.
