  1. The downside of expressing solidarity with a movement that believes we are all equal, & deserve equal treatment would be…?

Since when has BLM expressed or shown by their actions that belief? FitzSimian is more deluded than I could have ever imagined.

We have a local King Parrot that we call Pirate Pete, and he makes more sense than this ape man ever has.

  2. duncanm

Strange.. he seems to have changed his tune.

    ONE-KNEED FANS

”Tebowing”. This new word in the American lexicon refers, no kidding, to people who kneel on one knee with head bowed – a la Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow – every time they want to thank their god for allowing them to do something so fabulous on the sports field. The closest Australian word is probably ”public wankery”.

  3. stackja

    Red bandana too tight?

  4. mundi

Like Falou, I am alumni of Marsden State High School before it was liberalised.

I can confirm we were taught never to bow to anyone.

The school motto during our time was: “Success through Industry!”

Today it some absolute tripe. Needless to say no good players come from the school anymore, the last were Cameron Smith and Falou.

  5. Lee

Just another patronising white lefty lecturing blacks like Folau about what they can and can’t do.
If I were Folau, I’d tell the wanker to get stuffed.
Hell would freeze over before I kneel for anyone or any cause, let alone Black Lying Marxists.

And he is coloured, Issy not?

  7. Zatara

BLM is a black supremacist organization with marxist roots.

It has absolutely f/a to do with equality.

  8. Except BLM doesn’t believe in equality, or it would be called All Lives Matter, or followers of BLM would not take offence at the conjecture.

  9. Megan

I think I’ve mentioned before that my ancestors caskets are buried upright under the remains of a very large abbey in the north of England. Some of the lads were very naughty boys in the War of the Roses. The aristocratic French wife of one of them declared that her family bowed down to no-one.

I cannot let her down, I won’t kneel for anyone and certainly not a bunch of destructive, Marxist riff-raff.

The Banadanad Pirate is nothing if not inconsistent in his application of his moral point of view. Fully paid up member of the Double Standards association.

exactly. I’m no religious person, but I respect his position, and I stand in awe at his strength.

  14. Speedbox

The temerity of a ‘white’ guy telling a ‘black’ guy what he should do in this matter is just….. breathtaking.

  15. duncanm

Just in case it isn’t clear, by “strength” I mean moral courage and fortitude.

  16. Rex Anger

I saw a variation on the following on the Farceberk the other day:

    We are British Soldiers.
    We Kneel for God
    We Kneel for The Queen
    We Kneel to Open Fire

Swap [British] to [Australian] and there is this Anger’s take on the matter…

Maybe Folou takes his religion seriously, instead of just a useful cache of half remembered anecdotes from his occasional Sunday School class, obviously taught by someone with an excess of disinterest, as Pirate Pete seems unaware of the very first of the ten commandments:

3 You shall have no other gods before me. 4 You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

and the bible is chock full of stories of people refusing to bow down to any but God. Some egs from Wikipedia:

King Nebuchadnezzar set up a golden image in the plain of Dura (a word meaning simply “plain”) and commanded that all his officials bow down before it. All who failed to do so would be thrown into a blazing furnace. Certain officials informed the king that the three Jewish youths Hanania, Mishael, and Azariah, who bore the Babylonian names Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and whom the king had appointed to high office in Babylon, were refusing to worship the golden statue. The three were brought before Nebuchadnezzar, where they informed the king that God would be with them. Nebuchadnezzar commanded that they be thrown into the fiery furnace, heated seven times hotter than normal,

If only Pirate Pete was as powerful as King Neb.

Daniel is raised to high office by his royal master Darius the Mede. Daniel’s jealous rivals trick Darius into issuing a decree that for thirty days no prayers should be addressed to any god or man but Darius himself; any who break this are to be thrown to the lions

Also from wiki. If only Pirate Pete was as powerful as the Persians.

  19. Bob

What is this? Pidgin English? “Take a knee”??
Presumably the same idiots would call waving “wobble an arm, hand and fingers”.
No surprise coming from an illiterate dolt like Fitzsimons, but the rest of the world should use a damned dictionary.
The word is GENUFLECT. It’s been around for centuries.
If you’re an isolated native living in the highlands os some remote island with no outside contact, fine.
You get a pass. But nobody else does. The word is: genuflect.
This universal illiteracy is really giving me the shits.

  20. stevem

I must admit to being bemused that kneeling is considered a good thing when remembering somebody who was kneeled on to death.

    Breathtaking indeed!

  24. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Beare

The downside Pete, you grandstanding idiot, is that Folau would be kneeling to a Marxist take-over and dismissal of all that he holds dear. He kneels only to his God. And he is right in that All Lives Matter in his belief system.

This Marxist piggy-backing on people’s fundamental sense of goodwill and basic morality is disgraceful.

An alternative and inclusive phrasing is found in the very homespun and somehow innocent road signs that we saw as we entered the County of Lancashire in England in 2006 on a Sabbatical. Lancashire, said the sign, Where Everyone Matters. In that warm Northerner hospitality, indeed so they do, as the many small kindnesses for which these depressed northern regions are so recognised rained down on us and all who came within the ambit of the locals. Love thy neighbour and offer a helping hand. That’s how they live. Not necessarily the best off people in England, but definitely the best and friendliest.

No wonder his history books are so full of errors.

  27. Clam Chowdah

It is, of course, Folau’s absolute right not to “take a knee” with the other 25 players.

If he’d ended the tweet there he would have got something right for once.

  28. duncanm

Of course the Folau mention is a side-show.

What this really demonstrates (again, as if it needed reinforcing), is that Pirate Pete supports BLM, and has no depth of understanding of its true purpose beyond that which a 4yo would achieve.

This despite the fact that they’re quite open about it.

Pete and Lisa seem to not understand that they’d be the amongst the first up against the wall.

  29. Gyro Cadiz

    Aaaaawwww…..

Poor liddle pirate Pete’s desperately butthurt that the dusky gentlemen won’t do what the self-assessed superior left-wing and very white Pete demands of him.

  31. Bronson

Unbelievable Pete the idiot’s complete lack of self awareness – a rich white white man telling a brown man to take a knee! If he actually read BLM literature he would know that this a movement not about equality and equal treatment it is about power and supremacy for an elite few to the detriment of us all. Maybe Pete should eat some more brand so that his movement might clear his brain of all the sh*t that seems to be blocking it.

Issy Folau has been privileged to play nrl for qld and Australia, he’s been privileged to play rugby for nsw and Australia. He’s been very well paid and feted by Australian society regardless of the colour of his skin. Until the leftist mob took away that privilege and his right to work in his trade of choice, he now has to work overseas but is still being harassed by the leftist mob because he won’t bow to their intimidation and do something that goes against his religious belief. Beyond belief that anyone would listen to these corrupt hypocrites.

The downside of expressing solidarity with a movement that believes we are all equal, & deserve equal treatment would be…?

If BLM believed all lives were equal, there wouldn’t have been the need to tear up the ‘all lives matter’ banners.

  44. Mother Lode

solidarity with a movement that believes we are all equal?

The clearest and most unambiguous expression of that would be “All lives matter”.

These BLM morons have beaten and shot and killed people who have said this.

You are only allowed to say Black lives matter. No other race is entitled to this. There is Pirate Pete’s equality. Remember the furore when 4chan encouraged people to say White lives matter?

Pete, of course, sees the BLM parade of freaks and the black people who are their vassals are all the property of the political left.

Those who insist on ‘take a knee’ do so because they understand the nuance of servility and abasement contained in ‘kneel’.

  46. Mother Lode

Izzy invited Pete’s ire, as has a vast host previously and singly, through the rather too easy feat of being in his sights when he is very publicLay making a fool of himself.

He can never forgive other people for his own humiliations.

  49. Robbo

We have known for a long time that FitzSimons has great difficulty writing intelligible English and that correct punctuation is a stranger in his life but I would have thought that some basic research reading would be something he might do. Apparently not. This idiot writes that BLM believes we are all equal and deserve equal treatment. The man is a fool if he actually does believe that about a Marxist movement that hates capitalism and encourages violence against those who do not share their warped ideas. Adopting as a name Black Lives Matter is a subterfuge to attract morons and thugs who can be then encouraged to go out and destroy cities, loot shops and kill police and anyone else who tries to stop them. The irony is that most of the deaths by BLM thugs are of black people murdered by black people. FitzSimons support for this disgusting, devious bunch of violent criminals is an absolute disgrace. He is known as a halfwitted tosser and until now a joke but he has sunk to new low with his latest stupidity and all decent people would now regard him with revulsion.

In the fair dinkum stakes, lots of sports coaches use that expression during training sessions as a shortened version of “OK guys gather around I want a quick word with you about ……. and I need your eyes and ears focused on me”.
I guess that idiomatic usage was just easy for BLM supporters to pick up and run with.

  60. egg_

Walloper pleads to black suspect that HE can’t breathe

CL earns the headline of the year for 2020.

  61. “Take A Knee”. What does that mean in this context? It’s not what we think it means that matters, it’s what FitzSimons thinks it means that matters.

In his World of Rugby, a player would ‘take a knee’ if he was hurt or injured during play. When any player ‘takes a knee’. the referee would stop play and allow medics to run out on to the field to treat the player taking a knee.

Now, the bandanad simian was a less than average quality player. Despite his God given size, he wasn’t much good at it. Knowing this himself, knowing that he was out of his element (power, courage, perseverance, never say die attitude) the Simian would regularly “Take A Knee” to catch his worthless breath and signal to his team mates that he was “really trying” to the point of being hurt and exhausted.

His lying, dishonest antics didn’t work for too long of course. He was discarded after just a handful of games, as most cowards are.
The Simian only played 7 test matches for Australia. Most suspect he played those games only because the national coach Alan Jones had coached The Simian at club level at Manly.
His last game (fittingly) was against the all mighty All Blacks, where any opponent of this mighty team had to have courage, perseverance and a ‘sacrifice for the team’ attitude. None of which The Simian possessed.

He was roundly condemned by the great Australian David Campese, who labeled The Simians actions as “a disgrace to the good name of rugby.”
How fitting. This fraud, this virtue signalling empty suit was run out of the game by one of the games greatest and labelled “A Disgrace.”

Now we all understand why The Simian latches onto any and every virtue signalling opportunity that comes along. The ape has a chip on his shoulder the size of his ego. He probably wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares of being such a coward, especially with his size frame.
I feel sorry for him. But I can’t tell him that because he blocked me on twatter long ago.

Can we presume that a black football player who because of a private comment has been internationally vilified, lost his job and income as punishment meted out by people the calibre of Peter Beattie, has his wife dragged through the muck by Australian journalists but still does not qualify as a persecuted BLack Lives Matter victim because BLM matter is just a peg on which to hang a riot. And Australian semi literate brain dead journalists need a a dog to kick when they are hidden by numbers in a despicable gang attack. Give the man a mirror.

I think kneeling should be compulsory at “Welcome to Country ” ceremonies, just to drive the” we are all equal” narrative.

There was a vote in the senate not long ago that all lives matter and i think the Pauline Hanson Party were the the only ones in support of all lives matter.

  66. Mick Gold Coast QLD

My opinion of Fitzsimons as a player differs to that of Baa Humbug – I say he was able and had a good touch of mongrel about him. He did not have the talent of locks Steve Cutler (who could win a ball) Slaughter McCall or emerging Eales, or the ability of sometimes locks Tim Gavin and Bird Tuynman (of the Mighty Eastwood) but he earned his spot with the Wallabies.

I saw a good bit of him playing for Sydney University and for the Mighty Woods and he worked continuously on the field. He was out of favour fairly soon after winning representative honours when the top men realised he was lazy and that he knew everything. A mate of mine in lower grades was in a shared house with him for a couple of seasons and he reckoned he lived like a pig, wouldn’t tub often enough.

He was trying to make his mark back then as a journalist and I hosted him several times as an after dinner speaker at our junior rugby clubs. He was interesting company, for a know all, but early on he had twigged that controversy would win attention so he used get onto the all South Africans are bastards (except Mandela’s murderous ANC) – as the guest of educated, worldly, community minded blokes whose beloved rugby had been sabotaged by political vandals. He didn’t get many repeat invitations.

He has a brother, Jim, an intellectual property expert with Big Law in Sydney who was/is an open, pleasant and personable fellow who is very clever but who doesn’t need to tell everyone that.

As a bloke Fitzsimons is a low mongrel dog. Both he and his missus have demonstrated time after time they will do anything for money and fame. They have made millions but I doubt they are wealthy with the calibre of friends I would welcome around me.

When some people did something in New York he couldn’t get to the Olivetti quick enough to bash out an apology to the medieval death cult. That was inexcusable – he would know about this [ … ] much of the history and the politics.

His pursuit of Israel Folau is populist blancmange. I am delighted there are so many comments here mocking the fool for his ignorance, stupidity and signature hypocrisy.

Ugly has been Liz Ellis, who owns Australian netball, evidently, is a low mongrel dog too with her June 2019 classic bitch of a female hysteria “I do not want my sport endorsing the views of her husband.” I missed it back then, I see she gutlessly backed away two days later blaming hatred for her own new born or a missed period or somesuch. Poor dear.

Netball is a club for disciple-ettes of grade one bitchiness.

That stupid Americanism about kneeling is right up there with stupid, meaningless “speak power to power” and the dumb “life is like a box of chocolates with a little colour guide on top showing you exactly what you are going to get”.

  67. Steve

Folau is a Godly man, with solid biblical morals.
