Check the website home page … it is a Big Website too.

Hmmm, I’m putting two and two together on this one

I had decided to park the phrase “batshit crazy” after Planet Cornelius appropriated it, but yeah … batshit crazy.

We should open up The War Room and you know start fighting for a change

    Thank you Sinc.
I don’t worry much about the vague 1WG and other assorted off-the-wall theories, but specific unfounded allegations against individuals give me the shits.
I don’t care who it is.
    Remember George Pell?
And citing Bill Heffernan as a source?
    Jeez.

    Leigh,
There is evil in this world, masquerading as benign influence in plain sight. Soros, Gates, Killary , the UN et al are very well acquainted with evil. I know some or many don’t feel that way. That’s fine. I’m comfortable with my take on these issues. People should do their own research though, instead of outright dismissal of these issues as mere “conspiracy theories”. That’s just foolish, better to be entirely skeptical of such well intentioned bearers of goodwill.

I had a school port. Globite.

My little brother had one of those brown “leather” satchels that you put on your back.

I discovered the other port much…much later. And now I find there’s a delicious racist white port.

I recommend the 1975 BBC mini series called Edward VII.

Yes, that was an excellent series.

The final was scheduled to be screened the night after my son was born. Very fussy private hospital – everyone in bed and lights out by 9.00 pm. Ward sister must have liked me because she let me sneak out to the TV room to watch it… AND to have a ciggie.

    Imagine that today.

It’s either a great, great year or it’s a total mess. There’s no muddling through, but I’m an optimist and think it will be great.

I’m tipping 2021 will be great for the US and a total mess in Victoria.

In terms of investment in Victoria I am getting the feeling that CSL might be the canary in the coalmine.
Both the chairman and CEO have made strong statements in the last few days about Dan Xi-Man blowing the joint up.
I don’t think they will pull up stumps and head off out of Melbourne entirely.
But if they were thinking about expanding, why would they continue to put all their eggs in Dan’s basket?

  10. Bruce of Newcastle

The temp hit a tropical 22C here today – warmest day for many months.

Glorious here Johanna, 29 C. Did treadly ride after lunch which went so well I ended up going twice as far as I’d planned, so I’m currently feeling stuffed. The ride back was fun since I was air-struck by my first magpie of the season, then startled a water dragon sunning itself on the trail, then was passed by a guy going uphill at about 50 kph on an electric bike. Quite deflating when that happens.

The people who make unwanted foetuses are a subset of the people making foetuses, and it is the unwantedness that starts the problem.

No, it’s the sex part. If people ate plentifully, or the wrong foods, complaining about unwanted obesity would be daft. The same is true re pregnancy.

Yes – my travel plans in 2020 have been severely disrupted. A Christmas cruise that I had booked with my entire Australian extended family just got cancelled. This living at work has made me grumpy. The only thing getting a good work out is my liver.

I read today that the ACT Liberals are going to the election with a promise to stop people from moving to Queanbeyan, thereby increasing the revenue base.

TheirABC then produced figures claiming that no such thing is happening. Hardly anyone from the ACT moves to Qangers because it is cheaper and better. Nup.

I’ve been canvassing realtors to sell my joint recently, and they all agree that the most likely purchasers are ACT residents fleeing crippling rates and charges. That’s why I moved.

ACT Liberals – moving forward one unicorn at a time.

Good solid dependable drink that you can order and you know exactly what you’re going to get. Not magnificent. I bought my two sons a bottle each at Christmas last year. Then in January discovered how much cheaper it is in the US and was very annoyed.

At that quality/price point there is a bourbon called Hogs 3 that is better to my taste. So I keep a bottle of that in the house for the boys to drink if they want a spirit. The drop of choice for me is Woodford Reserve. They also have a Derby version – but I only ever see that at duty free.

Never EVER look at the task when Govt contracts are concerned. Always ALWAYS look at where the dough ends up. The ADF and VikPol were never going to get the gig (several million $) because no money would change hands. Fk that! Tucker Carlson criticizes Facebook for censoring interview with Chinese virologist
‘Dr. Li-Meng Yan is not a quack’

Facebook and other tech giants have engaged in a troubling pattern of censoring speech surrounding major issues in the coronavirus debate, Fox News host Tucker Carlson argued during his Wednesday night monologue.

Carlson’s comments came after Facebook slapped a warning label on video of his Tuesday interview with Chinese virologist Dr. Li-Meng Yan, who claimed to have evidence showing China “intentionally” released COVID-19 onto the general population.

“Within a few hours of her interview last night,” Carlson said, “a video of the segment reached 1.3 million people on Facebook.”

“And why wouldn’t it? The coronavirus pandemic has touched the life of every American. And justifiably, people want to know where it came from. But Facebook still doesn’t want you to know that. So Facebook suppressed the video, presumably on behalf of the Chinese government. Facebook executives made it harder for users to watch our segment. Those who found the video had to navigate a warning that the interview ‘repeats information about COVID-19 that independent fact-checkers say is false,” he added.

Accesories. Under section 7 of the QLD criminal code they are as guilty as the person that actually caused the death:

    Principal offenders

(1)When an offence is committed, each of the following persons is deemed to have taken part in committing the offence and to be guilty of the offence, and may be charged with actually committing it, that is to say—
    (a)every person who actually does the act or makes the omission which constitutes the offence;
    (b)every person who does or omits to do any act for the purpose of enabling or aiding another person to commit the offence;
    (c)every person who aids another person in committing the offence;

Researchers ask, how sustainable is your toothbrush? (16 Sep)

The team found that the electric toothbrush was comparatively harmful for planetary health.

The findings highlight the human health burden of the toothbrush manufacturing process. The electric toothbrush causes 10 hours of disability measured in Disability-Adjusted Life years or DALYS mainly for the people associated with the process of making and producing the devices. This is five times higher than a normal plastic brush.

Alan Jones was in the news recently commenting about the Victorian lockdowns. Now, I really don’t like Jones for a variety of reasons, but that’s really irrelevant to my point.

We (his classmates) were shocked and sad about it. To this day, nobody really knows what and why.

Tucker Carlson criticizes Facebook for censoring interview with Chinese virologist

“Instagram, which Facebook also owns did the same thing. Twitter suspended Dr. Yan’s account entirely. It did not explain why. Nor did the tech companies explain how they would know more about disease transmission than an MD, PhD virologist like Dr. Li-Meng Yan. Instead, Facebook and Instagram linked to three so-called fact checks which supposedly proved Yan was lying.

“But if you clicked on the provided links, you’d noticed something odd. The fact checks were all published months ago, many months — in January, February, and March, and they had nothing whatsoever to do with what Dr. Li-Meng Yan said on our show… One of the fact checks attacks a completely unrelated claim, the virus was patented and that a vaccine was prepared and ready to go.

“What does that have to do with the interview we did last night? No one will tell us that. The truth is, and you know it if you’ve watched carefully, experts have been wrong frequently throughout this pandemic … They have changed their prescriptions many times.”

Carlson argued that the solution to experts being fallible was more speech. “The solution to this age-old problem, and we used to understand this intuitively is more informed voices in the conversation. That’s how you make wise decisions, that’s how you get to the truth. Diversity of view. Facebook doesn’t believe this,” he said.

They believe in censorship. Censorship does not make us wiser. It does not make us better informed. If it did, we’d be speaking Russian right now, the Soviet Union would run the world. It would have worked. But instead the Soviet Union is extinct. It collapsed under the weight of its own absurdities — absurdities abetted by censorship. And that’s the most basic lesson of dictatorships, all of them. Anything built on lies falls apart over time.”

Tucker Carlson criticizes Facebook for censoring interview with Chinese virologist

Carlson also defended Yan and her research. “COVID-19 is not from nature, she said. It was created in a lab in Wuhan, China. The Chinese government intentionally unleashed it on the world. Those are her claims. Are they true? We have no way of verifying them. We do know that Dr. Li-Meng Yan is not a quack,” Carlson said.

“She’s authored peer-reviewed papers on coronavirus transmission in both Nature Magazine and The Lancet. Those are two of the most respected publications in all of science. Her paper on the origin of COVID-19, which she has published online, is not frivolous. In it, she points to specific evidence for the claims that she makes. She identifies so-called cut sites which are frequently used in genomic engineering that would allow scientists to swap in sequences from other viruses to create what she described last night as a Frankenstein bioweapon.”

A white bar owner in Nebraska was indicted on Tuesday in the fatal shooting of a Black man during a protest in May, a case that a prosecutor had initially declined to prosecute after characterizing the bar owner’s actions as self-defense.

The bar owner, Jake Gardner, was indicted by a grand jury in Douglas County on four counts, including manslaughter, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, attempted first degree assault and making terrorist threats, officials said.

The authorities said that Mr. Gardner, 38, confronted a group of men outside one of his bars in Omaha on May 30 and was knocked to the ground. From there, he fired two warning shots and tried to get to his feet, prosecutors said. As he did, Mr. Gardner got into a fight with one man, James Scurlock, 22. The two scuffled before Mr. Gardner fired a shot that killed him.

British police continuing to do the important work

A WETHERSPOONS customer who ordered a banana to a black man’s table using the pub chain’s app has been convicted of a racially-motivated hate crime.

Punter Louie Kincella, 20, sent the piece of fruit to Mark D’arcy-Smith’s table at the Richmal Crompton in Bromley, south east London.

Last Friday, Kincella, of Mottingham, was found guilty of a racially aggravated offence under the Public Order Act at Bexley Magistrate’s Court.

He was slapped with a £600 fine, and has to pay costs of £620 in addition.

In the days following the incident, Mr D’arcy-Smith reported the matter to the police and an investigation was launched.

Kincella was arrested on 17 January at his home address, and charged on April 3.

Detective Inspector Stuart Hart, head of the Safeguarding Team, at the South Area Command Unit, said: “There was no CCTV available, and it was not a straightforward matter to identify the suspect.

“This required a painstaking investigation by my lead officer, who paid meticulous attention to minor details in order to gather the vital evidence that led to this successful result.

Zimbabwean farmer describes losing home of 22 years in fresh land grab

“It has been a few days since the eviction began and we are still unable to find words to articulate the feelings felt to see our home of 22 years literally carried out of the door and loaded into vehicles within a matter of hours.”

These are the words of Martin Grobler, a commercial farmer in Zimbabwe, speaking to TimesLIVE about being evicted from his land on Friday. It came a month after the Zimbabwe government signed a $3.5bn deal as compensation to white commercial farmers who were evicted from their land two decades ago.

Grobler, 63, and his wife Debbie were given 24 hours to vacate their Protea Valley Farm in Ruwa, 22km southeast of Harare.

Anti-lockdown protesters plan third week of demonstrations

Anti-lockdown protesters are planning to protest in Melbourne for the third week in a row this weekend.

Organisers have contacted Victoria Police directly to inform them of their plans, Deputy Commissioner Rick Nugent said.

“The organisers of the protests sent an email to us a couple of days ago wanting to protest and advising us that if we refuse to allow them we’ll be jeopardising the safety of others and Victoria Police would be putting all Victorians at risk and [be] responsible for the continued spread of the virus,” he told radio station 3AW this morning.

Mr Nugent said as long as anti-lockdown protests kept happening they would consume police resources.

“Unfortunately we’re going to continue to have to drag police off other functions and other roles to come into the city to police these people that are just continuing to do this,” he said.

Social media posts circulating in anti-lockdown online groups are advertising two protests – one on Saturday at midday and one on Sunday at 1pm.

In both cases the creators of the posts say the location of the protests will be announced 30 minutes beforehand.

“The moment they turn up to protest it’s a criminal offence; it’s not like another matter that they want to protest about where we can facilitate some sort of terms of agreement, then they head off again. The moment they congregate, they’re out of their five kilometres and it’s not a permitted purpose,” Mr Nugent said.

Riot squad police would be present again this week, he confirmed.

“We need to, we don’t want to. We just need to.

In bombshell text messages exchanged between former Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton and Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police Reece Kershaw, it was revealed the order had come from the premier’s office itself.

‘Why wouldn’t (Australian Federal Police) Guard people At the hotel?’ he asked Mr Ashton.

‘Mate my advice is ADF will do Passenger transfer and private security will be used,’ Mr Ashton responded six minutes later.

‘Ok, that’s new,’ came the response from Mr Kershaw.

‘I think that’s the deal set up by our DPC. I understand NSW will be a different arrangement,’ Mr Ashton replied.

It came a month after the Zimbabwe government signed a $3.5bn deal as compensation to white commercial farmers who were evicted from their land two decades ago.

Soon after the installation of the Mugabe “Government”, there was an eight hundred million dollar fund set up to pay pensions, and benefits, to the veterans of the “Bush War.” The minister responsible for the fund paid the whole lot into his private bank account and fled the country. He built himself a three star hotel on the shores of Lake Geneva. Invited to return, and face “peoples justice”, he declined. Soon after, the veterans decided the white owned farms were fair game.

Andrews detention regime coming soon to Victoria.

Major concerns have been raised over a new “preventative detention regime” planned by the Andrews government, which will allow Victoria Police to detain innocent Victorians they think are likely to fail to comply with a direction.

The proposed section 252 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act gives police the right to detain any “high-risk person” on a “reasonable belief” that the person “is likely to refuse or fail to comply with” a direction.

Not only has the Andrews government failed to justify the proposed new powers, but the legislation does not define what conduct should lead to a “reasonable belief” and provides no oversight of the expansive new powers.

However, perhaps the most frightening part of the tyrannical legislation, is that the period of detention is not specified. This would allow Victoria Police to detain innocent Victorians indefinitely, as long as they deem it necessary.

This legislation is unprecedented, with detainees seemingly unable to even challenge the decision to detain them.

Make no mistake, even as case numbers decrease, Premier Andrews is pushing ahead with his mission to turn Victoria into a dystopian police state.
