There is not a Democrat policy proposal from one end of the election to the other, other than to make it compulsory to wear masks. The New York Times has released a set of the President’s tax returns and that is what they are turning into the central issue. So far as I can tell, there is no suggestion that there was any cheating on PDT’s taxes, only that he used various existing tax laws to minimise the amounts he paid.

These are amongst the various replies with the first where the video above comes from:

Meanwhile, the American economy is picking up in spite of every effort to spike it, especially via the Chinese virus: Unemployment is Improving Far Faster Than Projected – Unlike After the Great Recession.

And Trump has been nominated for a third Nobel Peace Prize, this nomination coming from Australia! Australian Law Profs Nominate Trump For Third Nobel Prize For ‘Trump Doctrine’.

And do not forget the old political equaliser that goes beyond the lying and the media bias, well beyond: Trump Calls On Justice Department to Investigate Ilhan Omar Over Illegal Ballot Scam. There is a new story on Democrat electoral cheating coming out every day.

Funny how NYT conveniently forgot the $4 mill in ’16 and the ~$17mill in ’18 that Pres. Trump paid anyway, which has been rolled forward, not refunded. Check the “conservative Treehouse” fo a bit of balance.

TRUMP CONFESSES TO THE NY TIMES TAX STORY

POSTED ON SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 BY STEVEN HAYWARD IN 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, DONALD TRUMP, TAXES

Have you heard—Donald Trump admits that he takes advantage of the tax code to minimize his taxes! And he’s even admitted it to the New York Times! Here’s the scoop:

The date of this scoop: October 10, 2016.

Not long after Trump’s election, I had a discussion with an American friend, a lawyer and a committed Democrat, who expressed amazement that I should think it utterly disgraceful that Presidential candidates, or any other candidate for political office should be expected to release their tax returns. He could see nothing wrong with Trump’s returns being “leaked” to the media. The concept of absolute confidentiality between taxpayers and tax collectors was OK for him, but not for Republicans seeking political office. He saw nothing wrong with Obama’s weaponising of the Internal Revenue against political enemies.

That all of these things indicated total contempt for the rights of individuals, and for the competence and professionalism of the civil service, even more than for Trump himself simply didn’t register with him. If the Internal Revenue accepted and passed the President’s returns, surely it is all the proof we can reasonably expect that he has complied with the letter of the law. What else is he required to do? Come back, Kerry Packer. Virginia Trioli would like a word.

Taken together, the behaviour of Democrats over the past four years, at all levels from Speaker of the House to the mobs in the streets, is proof positive of their unsuitability to select suitable candidates and to govern. Even out of power, they have turned the US into a scaled up version of the Democratic ruled hellholes of NYC, Chicago, Detroit, Portland, San Francisco, and so on ad nauseam.

They’ll report on anything but the ballot scamming which Project Veritas is exposing. Part 2 of that expose yet to appear.

  5. Tim Neilson

The timing of this is pretty blatant.
The idea is that this will dominate the first debate, or at least the reporting of the first debate, so even if Joe starts reciting old blackface sketches, soils himself and has to be dragged offstage, that can be omitted from the fusillade about “Trump destroyed in debate by tax scandal”.

Except for that pesky audit Trump keeps mentioning…

who expressed amazement that I should think it utterly disgraceful that Presidential candidates, or any other candidate for political office should be expected to release their tax returns.

Getting stuff like Trump’s tax returns was about weaving innuendo, allegations, and gossip. Clearing oneself of each baseless rumour is time consuming and any detail of which defence will be seized upon as the grain of sand around which to accrete a new pearl of falsity.

It is a bit like the Cat trolls who type some nonsense (doesn’t have to be new, in fact they probably enjoy being able to re-use the same points again and again) and Cats spend endless time and effort trying to disprove what the troll never believed anyway.

Democrats: ‘I paid more income taxes than Donald Trump’
Everyone Else: ‘I paid income taxes because of Donald Trump’

No doubt the solution to this “quandary” is to elect Democrats to steal more money from Trump so they can hand out food stamps to the newly unemployed.

Clearly Trump does not have Emma Alberscreechi doing his tax.

Last desperate roll of the dice after 3 years for the Democrats and their MSM water carriers.

  11. Zatara

Except for that pesky audit Trump keeps mentioning…

    Which one might that be?

Trump has been under continuous IRS audit year since 2002. That’s 18 years and no matter how hard they try they still haven’t found anything wrong.

  12. Zatara

They’ll report on anything but the ballot scamming which Project Veritas is exposing. Part 2 of that expose yet to appear.

    What pesky audit, cruel?

    You imbecile.

  14. Mother Lode

If Trump wants to make sure his successor in 2024 is not a Democrat, he should get reform through requiring voter ID and instituting controls to prevent people submitting mail in ballots not their own.

Democrats would be in opposition for decades without their shenanigans – otherwise why would they need to do them?

  15. H B Bear

Mother Lode – Democrats have opposed voter ID for years and it is a die in the ditch issue for them and their up to10m illegal immigrant voter base.

Not going to see any real change on this primarily state issue in the foreseeable future.

  16. Zatara

The New York City Board of Elections is blaming a vendor for an egregious error on absentee ballots mailed to voters in Brooklyn that could cause their votes to be thrown out–even if they follow the rules to the letter.

The absentee ballots were sent out with return envelopes that were mismatched and bear the names and addresses of other voters so that if the person signs the envelope with their own name it won’t be counted as the signature would not match the name on the mistakenly sent return envelope.

“The was error made by the vendor, Phoenix Graphics, who has been contracted to print and mail the ballots for voters in Brooklyn and Queens. They have assured us that voters who received erroneous envelopes will receive new ones.”

So there will be duplicate ballots on the street and massive confusion at the counting office as some get counted and some don’t. No chance of the Dems taking advantage of that to contest the election of course.

    Hanging chads anyone?

  17. Tim Neilson

If Trump wants to make sure his successor in 2024 is not a Democrat, he should get reform through requiring voter ID and instituting controls to prevent people submitting mail in ballots not their own.

I think each state is pretty much in control of voting in that state, even in federal elections. That was essentially the issue in Gore v Bush. There may not be a lot Trump can do about it directly.

  18. Mother Lode

I think each state is pretty much in control of voting in that state, even in federal elections.

Yeah. Like their electoral college arrangements altogether so it would have to be done on a state by state basis. But, just speculating here, in the agreements between the states and the federal government there would be some sort of commitment to the quality of the vote. The territories had to apply for statehood.

The mail in ballots would be the same, but they use the federal postal service. Whether or not that entitles the post to set standards.

I find this all like the little pots calling the kettle black. How is chanting “lock her up” any more sophisticated than “vote him out”? America is buggered no matter who wins

    What pesky audit, cruel?

The one Trump mentions any time he gets asked why he hasn’t released his tax return. And which was featured in the NYT summary of his tax position over the last few years.

That pesky audit. Do pay attention next time…

  24. JC

When was the last time he mentioned it, Dickhead?

  25. Lee

Why should Trump release his tax return?

  26. FelixKruell

    JC:

When was the last time he mentioned it, Dickhead?

    Err two days ago?

Mr Trump called the report “fake news”.
“Actually I paid tax. And you’ll see that as soon as my tax returns – it’s under audit, they’ve been under audit for a long time,” he told reporters after the story was published on Sunday.
“The IRS [Internal Revenue Service] does not treat me well… they treat me very badly,” he said.

But you keep throwing those personal insults around…just gets awkward when it turns out you’re so very wrong.

  27. Hay Stockard

Hmmm. How much undeclared money do the Demorats get from Red China?
    That is the question.

  28. Zatara

    And you know this because…

    Because I can read.

The Trump attorneys said the examinations of returns for years 2002 to 2008 ‘have been closed administratively by agreement with the IRS without assessment or payment, on a net basis, of any deficiency,’ while the examinations for the years 2009 and onward are ‘ongoing.’

  29. JC

How is asking a question being wrong, dickhead?

  30. I notice Steve didn’t repeat Drudge’s headline: “FAKE BILLIONAIRE?”

$300 million in loans due in the next four years, and his empire has been sinking into the abyss for years. Who would want to buy his loss-making properties? Especially since the Trump name is mud now.

His creditors have him by the orange and curlies.

  31. FelixKruell

    Zatara:

    Because I can read.

Doubtful. Your own quote shows they’re still investigating the last 10 years worth…hardly evidence they haven’t found anything wrong.

  32. FelixKruell

    JC:

How is asking a question being wrong, dickhead?

When it’s only a question someone would ask if they’ve paid no attention whatsoever to what Trump has said over the last 5 years. And is paired with personal insults.

That’s how it’s wrong. Own it.

  33. JC

……hardly evidence they haven’t found anything wrong.

Even less evidence they have, Dickhead. Even though, you’re asking Zat to prove a negative you have nothing.

What’s interesting that in all this you find immediate fault with Trump even though the leak is a very serious crime and despite the bluster, there’s no crime. You’re such a dickhead.

  34. JC

That’s how it’s wrong. Own it.

There’s quite a lot he’s said over the past 4 years and there’s no tax crime, dickhead. At least up to the point and while on the subject of “point” what is your point, dickhead?

  35. JC

Don’t look there, look here. Trump’s tax returns have been leaked.

  36. Also on the Nobel nomination, that’s David Flint lol.

Trump is as much chance of winning the Nobel as Flint is of becoming King of England.

  37. JC

    Monster

You’re under curfew 24/7. Get back in the basement and stop coming out. Next time, you show up above ground, the cops will arrest you. You’re not even allowed to come for doughnuts. Go!

Yes, and his go-to (bogus) excuse Over those 4 years for not releasing his tax returns is that he’s under audit. It’s strange you don’t know that. Pay attention next time.

What’s interesting that in all this you find immediate fault with Trump even though the leak is a very serious crime and despite the bluster, there’s no crime. You’re such a dickhead.

I didn’t find fault with him. And what makes you think the leak is a very serious crime? You haven’t exactly got much credibility on this topic…

  39. JC

Yes, and his go-to (bogus) excuse Over those 4 years for not releasing his tax returns is that he’s under audit.

You are such a dickhead, Cruel. he has been under audit or in discussions with the IRS.

It’s strange you don’t know that. Pay attention next time.

I’m not as hung up about his tax returns as you appear to be, which is why I asked you to provide evidence. I also asked because you’re 100% dishonest and nothing claimed can be taken as truthful. You know that though.

I didn’t find fault with him.

Oh, you didn’t. Could have fooled everyone.

And what makes you think the leak is a very serious crime?

Leaking someone’s tax return is a serious felony. You didn’t know? Pay attention next time.

You haven’t exactly got much credibility on this topic…

Why, because I asked a question to back up your claim? You suggest I don’t have cred yet you ask if leaking tax records is a serious crime. You’re such a dickhead.

  40. FelixKruell

    JC:

You are such a dickhead, Cruel. he has been under audit or in discussions with the IRS.

Must be very disappointing and disconcerting for you that I’m a 100% right this time. Condolences.

Oh, you didn’t. Could have fooled everyone.

No, just you. Quote me where I did. Simple.

Leaking someone’s tax return is a serious felony. You didn’t know? Pay attention next time.

Is it? Regardless of who does it? Feel free to show us why…

  41. JC

Feel free to show ,what- that if a government official leaked his returns most, likely out of the southern district, it wouldn’t be a felony indictment? You’re such a dickhead, cruel .

Likely? Seems like a hypothetical to me…I thought you were sure it was a felony? Maybe some Adderall would help?
