Trump is the greatest political genius of our time

Not only that, Donald Trump is amongst the greatest political geniuses of all time. That he became President in 2016 and is still in the running to be re-elected in 2020 given all of the opposition from the media, from every facet of the left and especially the screwball left (actually is there any other kind at the moment?), from many within his own party, from within the bureaucracy, from state governors who are willing to burn down their cities to defeat him in November, from the Chinese who let loose a deadly pandemic, to the Democrat governors and Democrat politicians generally who used the Chinese virus as a political weapon, from the election cheating that will be a major part of the Democrat election program, given all of these you still cannot count him out. If there is a greater master of the arts of politics today, I cannot think who that is.

The debate was a case in point. These are all posts of one sort and another about how PDT neutralised all of this during the Presidential debate with Joe Biden, while also simultaneously debating with the moderator. Do not lose heart is the central message here. There is a lot here to savour.

There is a phenomenal amount that Trump can use in the period going forward that came just from the debate. Nothing that I can think of that would be useful in the hands of the Democrats, but we shall see. That you’d have to be crazy to vote for Biden is obvious, but there turn out to be plenty of crazies everywhere.

Of course, the MSM is silent on this – were it a right-wing person, they’d be all over it, DEMANDING a full investigation IMMEDIATELY. But it may help Trump by exposing both the Dems dishonesty and the deep state’s collusion with the Dems.

Meanwhile in Australia the government of Victoria has rejected reports that they have established a private police force.

At the same time they are passing legislation to authorise an unlimited number of “officers” with unlimited power of entry and arrest that can be exercised, without appeal, on uttering the magic word – VIRUS.

It remains to be seen if the Australian Government will issue the required visas.

“You gave the idea of the Logan Act for General Flynn.”

Yep, Biden is up to his neck in Spygate. He deserves indictment as a traitor to the US, given his sedition against the Constitution, the elected President plus his family’s corrupt payoffs from China and Ukraine.

He will probably have to give an account before God before he does in front of a human judge. I hope he repents before then, but I don’t see any sign of that occurring.

Of course, Wallace, as we know, is an Amish Eskimo with no external agenda whatsoever in this election, no sireebob.

  13. Donald Trump emerged against all odds to become POTUS because is is by nature uniquely suited to counter the political extremes that have emerged in recent years in the Democratic Party. I don’t think that he is a political genius in any sense. Trump sees political and commercial issues in a very direct way, and acts on his instincts – often against the advice of his immediate circle in the White House. He does this because he has done this throughout his life.

Trump exhibits every characteristic of the DSM for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. This is not a criticism, just an observation. As a result, he is the Supreme Disrupter of conventions and influence. He resents all opposition and criticism. He does not succumb to normal fear of failure, because he is supremely confidant. But he is watchful and his acute survival instincts will generally frustrate his opponents.

Narcissists are not pleasant people. But it is a joy to watch his demolition of dishonest and ruthless opponents. It is rare that I would normally support such a person, but the alternative would result in the irreversible decline of a nation built on such wonderful ideals. Under Trump I think America has a chance. This is an age of strange and unpredictable developments. Trump is a man for his times.

I think SK should seek some professional help. Every post is more shrill and deranged than the previous. And since we go on about who in politics lies the most, shouldn’t you remove the words ‘centre right’ from the title? Because some of your stuff is- as Monty said, wing nut material. I’m still waiting for a discussion on Qanon, who Trump reckons are ‘good people’. And, although it seems to have been taken down, try and read the Proud Boys manifesto. These people are raving loonies!

  23. Daily llama

Yes, sorry about that, I think I’d run out of donuts. (I’d never be a good politician, I can say sorry!)
Here’s a prediction- remember 2004 here when even on Election Day the polls were neck and neck? I’d argued for weeks that at the last minute, when people stood in that cardboard booth, they’d think “I can’t vote for Latham”, and the Coalition won comfortably.
I reckon we’ll see that in the US. They might not like Trump, but try as they may, a lot of them will hover over their ballot and think “I just can’t vote for that other dill”. I think their electoral college system is dumb, but the outcomes usually aren’t much different to ours. A few thousand votes in the right places make or break elections. Maybe we should run our own book. Who thinks Trump will win? Biden? Alexandria Occasional-Furniture? Should the US invade Canada? Mexico? Canada and Mexico? Are there aliens among us?

  26. cohenite

    felix and llama, get fucked.

A final point about Trump v joe:

1 The first thing Trump was doing was stopping biden from lying. Everything biden said was a lie. Trump cut in continually to point this out. No one has done this before.

2 Trump raised issues which had been ignored by the msm and therefore the voters had probably not been aware; such things as biden’s corruption, his son’s corruption, bidens involvement in the Russian collusion lie and biden’s support of antifa, the green new deal, his support of defunding the police and so on.

3 Most importantly Trump forced biden to distance himself from the berni supporters, the aoc supporters and the hard left generally. This election is a completely polarised election, the undecided voter is negligible. Voter turnout is crucial. Trump beat hillary because not enough anti-Trump voters could bring themselves to vote for her. This time the radical left are crucial for biden and Trump forced biden to separate himself from the radical left. Trump did this while giving his supporters some red meat. I think it was a good tactic. If the hard left can’t bring themselves to vote for joe that’s it because there are far fewer average demorat voters than radical voters and far less moderate demorat voters than Trump voters.

Generally conservative politicians have not been taking the fight up to the left who could do and say anything while the right was more focused on decorum. Trump has been vilified by these mongrels for nearly 4 years. He has shown you can’t beat the left by playing by the rules, especially when the umpire is a leftie, as wallace is, and will side with the left, as wallace did. If you wanted a polite, gutless, useless conservative POTUS you should have voted for mitt. Just watch, the left will figure out what Trump did and demand no more debates.

Oh I don’t know if he’s a political genius (whatever that means), but he’s pretty decent, dickhead.

He ran an insurrection campaign against the establishment GOP, took the primary and then went onto to win the election. He was also outspent ~$1.3 billion to $350 million by crooked.

Seen anyone else do that since WW1, dickhead?

    That’s a very good point.

Joe must simultaneously appear to be a foolish pushover from the point of view of the AOC supporters and youthful nutbags, while simultaneously appear to be strong and resolute from the perspective of the middle-of-the-road blue-collar traditional Democrat base. Trump doesn’t care which way Joe goes on that … provided he picks one or the other he has already split his own supporters.

Biden never came out against Trump’s decision to restrict travel from China

    Biden himself (Feb 2020):

Oh I agree on that – what he achieved is amazing.

I just don’t ascribe that to any conscious strategy on his part (Or ‘genius’). He just kept being Trump. It failed the first time around, in 2012. It worked in 2016.

    Cruel

The biggest lie in the debate was from Hiden saying he decided to run when he claimed he heard Trump suggest white supremes were fine people. He knows by now that claim was a complete hoax. Consequently, Hiden’s campaign is built on one huge hoax. Lastly, you’re just a dickhead. A real putz. Putz sounds more civil, no?

Here you go, Biden started supporting the travel ban in April, after earlier using the “xenophobic” word against Trump,. which we know means “racist”. Biden was obstructing from the get go, now he wants to be praised as a saviour.
