  1. Iggy Azalea, isn’t she the aussie chick who sings gangsta rap in the US?
The one with the porcelain doll face & unmistakeable beauty spot on the jaw?
    A major lezzo icon.
Who used to do stage dives into the crowd.
She gave away the crowd dives coz the girls in the crowd would take advantage of the ruff ‘n’ tumble of a mosh pit dive to slip a finger into her shorts, or further if they could.

Iggy hasn’t viewed crowds of enraptured young females quite the same way since that er.. uncomfortable… discovery.

Why do women with huge arse’s think blokes like them?

It is surely one of life’s mysteries. I have always thought that Kardashian woman, and those who try to mimic her body shape, achieve nothing more than a surgical deformity. And what about those who pump their lips so full of hyaluronic acid they look like a chimpanzee.

The interesting thing is ‘why’ they do it. The lip thing is obvious – it gives the ‘promise’ to men that the oral sex will be better from that woman. As for the fat arse, maybe it is a throwback to earlier times when sex was much more routinely ‘doggy style’ and a big arse may have had some advantage. I can’t imagine that Kardashian has any idea of human sex history but perhaps something has stirred in the deep recesses of her brain stem.

“Generations yet unborn will suffer the consequences of this nomination,” he continued, “as the globe gets warmer, as workers continue to fall behind, as unlimited dark money floods our politics, as reactionary state legislatures curtail a woman’s right to choose, gerrymandered districts and limit the rights of minorities to vote, my deepest, greatest, and most abiding sadness tonight is for the American people and what this nomination will mean for their lives, their freedoms, their fundamental rights.”

Escaped cloned female mutant crayfish take over Belgian cemetery (23 Oct, via Instapundit)

Escaped self-cloning mutant crayfish created in experimental breeding programmes have invaded a Belgian cemetery.

Hundreds of the duplicating crustaceans, which can dig down to up to a metre and are always female, pose a deadly threat to local biodiversity after colonising a historic Antwerp graveyard.

“It’s impossible to round up all of them. It’s like trying to empty the ocean with a thimble,” said Kevin Scheers of the Flemish Institute for Nature and Woodland Research.

Or he could be a crap Uber driver?

Uber Fires Drivers Based On ‘Racially Biased’ Star Rating System, Lawsuit Claims

A former Uber driver in San Diego sued the ride-hailing company on Monday for racial discrimination in how it uses passengers’ reviews to evaluate drivers.

The suit aims to represent all minority Uber drivers who have been kicked off the app because of poor star ratings. It asks the court to order Uber to stop using passenger evaluations when deciding whether to ban drivers from the app.

“Uber’s use of this system to determine driver terminations constitutes race discrimination, as it is widely recognized that customer evaluations of workers are frequently racially biased. Indeed, Uber itself has recognized the racial bias of its own customers,” Liss-Riordan wrote in the suit.

In the suit, plaintiff Thomas Liu is described as Asian, from Hawaii and speaking with a slight accent. He claims he was fired in October 2015 after his average star rating fell below 4.6.

Liu contends that riders gave him bad reviews because of his race.

“He noticed riders [canceling] ride requests after he had already accepted the ride and the rider was able to view his picture. He also experienced riders asking where he was from in an unfriendly way,” according to the suit.

Herodotus, mine are very well behaved. They’ve even stopped monstering blue-faces, who are #1 enemy. Today I had several very hungry blue-faced honey eaters come by, which is extremely rare. The wet weather plus kiddies to feed I think has caused them to take a risk. And in ground zero of a dozen or more noisies, they came and got some Coles $2 bread. It was a lot of fun, like watching the Dirty Dozen penetrating into the deepest heart of Germany.

Best event today, I went for a walk since it was too cold for bicycle. Other end of my street I encounter a noisy, graduate from the academy. She accepted some bread from my hand then went to the nest – which I spotted. Right on the electricity terminus on a house. The nest was intertwined with both wires. Fortunately the insulation is good or the three kiddies would be very well done. I stopped at the fence and the noisy came over several times, collected some bread bits and back to nest. After that they were full, which was a nice thing.

    ..
Sorry Kaycee, “Emergence” sounds like yet another broad, sweeping concept to cover up the fact that they don’t know how complexity and intelligence comes into being, but “it’s just a property of the universe”.
How convenient. We do not understand the mechanism, but it can’t be God, no siree, it’s just a property of this universe, no God required here.
Give it a couple of decades and they’ll be throwing it around as if it explains everything and you’re a ignoramous if if you don’t accept it neatly explains everything. There will be emergence physicists and emergence behavioural biologists and emergence psychologists.

  121. Helen

Bruce your birdies are well trained, but the truth is you either have garden birdies little ones that frolic in the bushes or ones that eat them. You cant have both. I have lots of ones that crash into windows trying to outrun hawks. There was a very fat lacewing on the path a few days ago. Sorry little mate I said as I put him aside in the garden to do what nature does best.

If you are planting trees and bushes to attract the small ones, then their predators will come hunting. Make plenty of hidey places for them.

  125. Bruce of Newcastle

Helen – Fortunately I don’t have the bushes and shrubs that the small birds like, so I don’t have the problem of them being eaten. Noisies and grey butcherbirds are the smallest. The noisy chicks are in danger from currawongs, but the currawongs are well fed so haven’t been too much of a problem.

Sometimes I go for a walk to the nearby reserve which has understory and lantana on the edge of it. It’s nice to see the thornbills and fantails flitting around in the dappled sunshine amongst the edge of the foliage.

Arky, why does it have to be an either/or setup.
I viewed the video and could see a complexity in how things work. Each ant by itself is not very smart and cannot achieve much. Yet, a colony of ants can work together and produce something as a group.

The same applies to human beings. We can work as individuals or groups. The more we learn about the complex human system, the more we can marvel at the Maker.
We can recognise God as the creator and the mastermind of the universe and all it contains. And as mere humans accept that we cannot understand it all.

The world is charged with the grandeur of God. Even if there may be some who don’t want to acknowledge this.

I hand raised a baby wedgie once, well he was feathered but told me he wanted more feeding when he wandered (on foot) up to the shed where I was working. So I had him in a big cage and trapped rabbits for him which he relished. He would take the whole rabbit from me and tear it to bits with claws and beak. I fed him every second day or so and he seemed very fat and happy.

Some wildlife guys who were passing through one day took him, they got a permit and were going to release him to the wild down SA way – seemed a plan. I guess I could have released him at home, too, but one thing was for sure, he couldn’t keep living in that cage. Sergeant Major was his name.

And there was a honey eater I raised on sugar – he’d fallen out of his nest and he used to ride around on my shoulder. I took him to town like that once and he was a great hit. One day he decided he wanted the wider word and he took off. I saw him a few times after. Tweetie – very original but I was only eight or nine. I still remember him in the back of the station wagon, perched on his milk tin lid where the dried sugar syrup was and when we hit a bump the lid and Tweetie would fly up and down again. He rode that lid like a true ringer.

Then there was Mopsy, a pewee that had fallen from his nest, loved that bird. I let him go and he was perched atop the windmill hunched and scared so I climbed up and got him back. Something went wrong with his feet and he couldn’t stand and I would tape them to a stick with electrical tape so he had some dignity and he would happily preen himself, but I went away for a few days and he didn’t make it with the volunteers.

But the best was Charlie, a red rumped kingfisher, bought in with pin feathers barely poking through, two baby siblings died, but he lived and kept us entertained catching moths for him to eat. He had complete run of the house and would scold me if I was reading too late in bed, sitting on my lampshade, he would fly to my head and peck it, ffs he was saying switch the damned light out, I want to sleep.

When summer came and it got too hot, well the fans had to be put to use, so Charlie went to the wildlife park in Alice where he terrorised people eating their lunch in a huge aviary. His favourite trick apart from strafing was to land on peoples heads.

I haven’t done that sort of thing for years and years now, it was fun – oh the odd deranged wild duck exhausted with flying and fair game for other birds to attack a stint in the box to recover and then let them go. I think the lady storm bird was the second last to really move me, she was lying there on the cold lawn in the morning after a wild storm and breathed her last in my hands. Looking back, it was like the rains were going with her and we had two very dry years after that.

And the last of course, was my brolga, of who I have written elsewhere. Old mates, all of them.

A dangerous Apex gang member saved from deportation by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal has gone on to commit more crimes of violence.

The AAT overturned a ministerial decision to kick Melbourne-based Chad Samupo out of Australia.

It did so despite being told by police the thug was responsible for a spree over several years of a “violent and anti-social nature” that began when he was 13.

The Herald Sun revealed in 2017 that the reasons for the decision to force Samupo back to New Zealand included that he “was or may be a risk to the health, safety or good order of the Australian community”.

Victoria Police has since charged Samupo with several more serious offences committed after the AAT decided not to cancel his visa.

Samupo, 23, recently pleaded guilty to seven charges, including two counts of unlawful assault, robbery, property damage and bail offences.

He is due to be sentenced in the Melbourne’ Magistrates’ Court today.

Previous offences on Samupo’s appalling criminal record include assaulting police, resisting arrest, assaulting an emergency worker, illegal drug use and possession, obtaining property by deception, committing indictable offences while on bail, contravening a police direction to move on and using abusive words in public.

A delegate for the then Immigration Minister, Peter Dutton, cancelled Samupo’s visa in February 2017 and he was put in detention awaiting deportation to New Zealand.

Mr Dutton’s delegate told the AAT the serious and repetitive nature of the Apex gang member’s charges and convictions “indicated unacceptable behaviour in the Australian community and showed a disregard for Australian laws”.

Samupo then appealed to the AAT in the hope it would save him from being kicked out of the country.

The AAT chose not to name Samupo in its August 2017 written decision.

That ruling, made by AAT Deputy President Jan Redfern and AAT part-time member Alison Murphy, set aside the ministerial deportation decision and substituted it with a decision not to cancel the Apex gang member’s visa.

They did so even after the then head of Victoria Police’s anti-gangs squad, Det-Supt Peter De Santo, gave written and verbal evidence to the AAT that Samupo:

WAS a member of the Apex gang.

HAD taken a violent and aggressive leading role is serious offending as part of a group.

WAS linked with other persons involved in serious crimes.

    USED illegal drugs.

WAS involved in serious driving offences with other associates, including a police pursuit involving a car being driven on the wrong side of the road.

The AAT members’ reasons for saving the Apex gang member from deportation included not wanting to separate him from his Melbourne-based family as well as his mental condition – they were told he had been treated for mental illness since 2013 and was diagnosed as bipolar in 2014.

“We accept his behaviour remains of concern and he remains at risk of reoffending, particularly in view of his serious mental illness,” the AAT’s 2017 written decision said.

“All these matters weigh towards cancellation of his visa.

“Weighing against these matters are the applicant’s long residence in this country, the fact his immediate family all reside here and the hardship that will be caused to the applicant and his family if his visa is cancelled.”
