This is the way Australians need to act because making fun of them and getting around them is a potent as it can get when you’ve been robbed of your weapons.

Exactly. Humiliate them. Get up your ‘friends’ who bleat the narrative, bloody well let them know in no uncertain terms that things are not bloody cool. If you turn a blind eye to numpties in your direct daily contacts then don’t bother bringing your shit here. You’re only ever one bbq or University reunion away from failure. Again…

    skimpies asking for cash…none given

Well done. They don’t deserve a dime.

  3. Makka

The aim is to make legal enforcement of these ‘orders’ to onerous, and to make the position of the government untenable.

    dover,
Please try any of your ideas and see how quickly you are dobbed in, taken away and charged , heavily fined and then put through the lawfare wringer while VikPol and DHHS , Worksafe Vic take a genuine close interest in you, your vehicle and your place of business. And all for what? Will you change Labor’s support base one single percentile?

Let us know how you fare. Ta.

Bookmaking is pretty much like trading. You set a margin. Some have more appetite for risk than others.

To make that market work, you have to have “volume”. It’s the reason country bookmakers are pretty much stuffed. TAB, Sportsbet and everyone else has encroached on smaller operations. TAB in Australia has their eyes on enveloping the whole lot.

History is replete with examples where this doesn’t work.

Let’s wait and see what happens with Google, Twitter and YouTube in the US.

If anything, this is the MOST IMPORTANT thing that the US Election is actually about.

  6. Diogenes

Retiring to someone else’s country because you can’t afford the lifestyle you want in the one you lived your working days is cheating.

A retired ex-colleague spent a year renovating her house, sold it and moved to Bali.

The kicker – she ticked the box – “Aboriginal” and nearly every time she opened her mouth it was ‘my people this or my people that’. I have a deep spiritual connection with our land …. riiiiight

    FREE SPEECH. Think about that.

They are already shutting that down. Twitter, Google, YouTube.

I thought it was bad when Coles and Woolworths took out most of the butchers, bakers and corner shops in town. This is much worse.

Nobody seems to have mentioned ugly Americans yet. I’ll never forget the extremely arrogant kid who said to me ‘I know that whatever shit I get into the US government will send a helicopter to get me out.’
About the only rescue helicopters needed were to drag he and his drunk pals out of the bars they were in most hours.
I prefer poms. At least they have a sense of humour.

Something new (to me at least)

Lots of interesting potential fusion pathways. HB11 is one of several forms of this:

    Aneutronic fusion

    NASA have been busy:

NASA Found Another Way Into Nuclear Fusion (21 Sep)

NASA has unlocked nuclear fusion on a tiny scale, with a phenomenon called lattice confinement fusion that takes place in the narrow channels between atoms. In the reaction, the common nuclear fuel deuterium gets trapped in the “empty” atomic space in a solid metal. What results is a Goldilocks effect that’s neither supercooled nor superheated, but where atoms reach fusion-level energy.

“In the new method, conditions sufficient for fusion are created in the confines of the metal lattice that is held at ambient temperature. While the metal lattice, loaded with deuterium fuel, may initially appear to be at room temperature, the new method creates an energetic environment inside the lattice where individual atoms achieve equivalent fusion-level kinetic energies.”

The fuel is also far more dense, because that’s how the reaction is triggered. “A metal such as erbium is “‘deuterated’ or loaded with deuterium atoms, ‘deuterons,’ packing the fuel a billion times denser than in magnetic confinement (tokamak) fusion reactors. In the new method, a neutron source ‘heats’ or accelerates deuterons sufficiently such that when colliding with a neighboring deuteron it causes D-D fusion reactions.”

Just don’t call it “cold fusion”. Pons and Fleischmann couldn’t be reached for comment.

Chuck a “collect a fine” rally and let people know the object is to go out and collect as many fines as possible and then set them alight in a giant bonfire.

struth, why do you think that the pregnant lady in Ballarat got treated like she did?
Anyone who’s found organising something that Maximum Leader mightn’t be able to control (except BLM/antifa or something else Maximum Leader supports) is going to be arrested and handcuffed at home, dragged off on the spot even if that makes them miss an important medical appointment, and charged with something that carries years of jail.
If anyone tried to initiate your proposed rally, and it started remotely looking like a goer, organisers would get about one social media post out before that happened to them, and then even people who were sympathetic would wonder “what happened to that proposed rally? Maybe it’s been cancelled.”
In a world of total internet surveillance mass civil disobedience only works if the authorities let it work (BLM/antifa) or public opinion is so overwhelmingly and passionately in favour of it that incidences start virtually spontaneously and snowball. We’re not there yet. Check out Fatboy Cornelius’ recent attempt to soothe the masses by saying that socially distanced protests while exercising were ok, but then when the numbers attending were controllable the heavy handedness returned straight away. JobKeeper is really “Maximum Leader’s Job-Keeper”. As long as that’s being paid, mass protest on economic grounds is unlikely.
But as we go into summer the sheer lifestyle deprivation will become more and more unbearable. The population having had no liberty to attend the AFL season or the Spring Carnival the pressure is mounting. It’s getting more difficult for Maximum Leader to keep a lid on it. And the pressure will only grow. Any attempts to keep beaches semi-closed won’t go down well. No Christmas season will not be received well. No Boxing Day at the MCG will add to the pressure. If there’s limits on attendance at the Australian Open even some of the luvvies will become increasingly peeved. Maximum Leader has to get things largely back to normal very soon, and:
    (a) if that results in more outbreaks he’ll be totally wedged – either let things go and admit that the lockdown was theatre, or return to lockdown and admit that he’s got nothing to offer except keeping the whole state under house arrest;
    (b) if it doesn’t, the contrast between lockdown hell and living normally with the virus will become obvious to all.
What we really don’t need is futile gestures before the populace is ready which give Maximum Leader a scapegoat – a few people attend some protest and get fined, Maximum Leader ramps up the testing to get more “cases” and blames civil disobedience for the “increased” threat of the fatal deadly exterminating virus “forcing” him to return to full stage 4.

  14. thefrollickingmole

But yes ‘dillo, the strangulation of media by the big tech boys is shit.
I would also point out that until the last 20 or so years it was TV stations which abused that power, and radio before that.

The lefties whine about da Murdoch while ignoring their own government funded sewage pipe working 24/7 to push whatever cause they want.
JJJ is probably the purest iteration of the type, a “youth” station where only the green left viewpoint will be mentioned, and coincidentally music from that viewpoint endlessly promoted.
Because god knows no radio station ever chases the youth market…

Any guy thinking of heading to Thailand should read a book called ‘Private Dancer’ it is available as a pdf on the net, a real eye opener.

Well, that’s not unique to Thailand; guys dumb enough to fall for professional ladies deserve all they lose. Having said that the amateurs can fuck you sideways too.

  19. Bundyrum

  20. Bruce of Newcastle

    Thanks BoN,
    Good stuff.

Rob – There’s an analogous whole other field, which is neutron irradiation of various isotopes. No wiki, nor many articles. The advantage of neutron beam initiated fusion is the neutrons aren’t charged so there’s less issue with overcoming electrostatic repulsion as in aneutronic fusion couples. I don’t know why this area isn’t better studied.

Had the chance meeting with an ex-Cathay Pacific Captain once overseas who lived in Bangkok, spent most of his career in Asia with a few airlines. His girlfriend at the time was an 18yo, he was open about her not being with him due to his looks. Isn’t my cup of tea but most guys in these places seemed aware of the arrangement and accepting of the fact that companionship was the only benefit for them.

That said know of stories of drunk old guys dragging kathoeys (Transgender) into the Embassy in Silom district saying they are in love. Know of guys who have been burnt and we have tried to alert the to the fact they are getting ripped. So I guess it goes both ways.

Myself I grew up listening to my dad who did Vietnam and rifle company Butterworth to have a sort of an idea of what I was getting into when I went there. Along with a curiosity and a bit of an open mind as well I admit.

Trump team pushes back after Biden blasts ‘chumps’ who support the president

Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden referred to some of his opponents as “chumps” on Saturday while giving a campaign speech in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

The Trump campaign likened Mr. Biden’s put-down to Hillary Clinton referring to Trump supporters as “deplorables” in 2016.

At a drive-in rally, Mr. Biden said, “I’ll work as hard for those who don’t support me as those who do, including those chumps with the microphone out there.”

He was apparently referring to Trump supporters who gathered near his rally, waving flags and honking horns during his speech.

Former New York City Mayor and Trump ally Rudolph W. Giuliani tweeted, “Biden rips Trump supporters as ‘chumps’ at PA drive-in rally. Hillary thinks we are DEPLORABLES. Biden thinks we’re CHUMPS. Trump thinks we are AMERICAN CITIZENS!”

Iran, China and North Korea have the most to gain from a Biden presidency

U.S. allies must not be allowed to control U.S. foreign policy with hostile countries

While Americans have much at stake in next week’s election, our major foreign adversaries and allies have at least as much. Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and the NATO nations anxiously await the result because it will determine how we deal with them in the next four years.

Each of them expects different results from President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden because they know each will deal with the threats they pose differently. Mr. Trump has proven that he will act in America’s interests with or without support from our allies. From Mr. Biden’s record, we must conclude that he is a dedicated multilateralist who will not act without the support of our allies.

Iran has the most to gain from Mr. Biden’s election. Mr. Trump revoked the highly dangerous deal with Iran that President Obama signed and, by doing so, distanced us from the other signatories to the deal, Russia, China, France, Germany and the UK. Mr. Biden — eager to please France, Germany and the U.K. — promises to rejoin the deal despite the obvious danger it poses to our national security.

Iran will benefit substantially from any relief from Mr. Trump’s “maximum pressure” sanctions campaign, which Mr. Biden will certainly grant despite the fact that Mr. Trump’s sanctions have rendered the Iranian economy a shambles. Russia and China have already blocked an extension of the now-expired U.N. arms embargo on Iran. They — and other nations — will sell Iran advanced weapon systems that will make it more dangerous than it is now.

How either candidate’s victory would benefit Russia and China are more complex questions.

Hunter Biden alleged sex tape and images uploaded on Bannon-connected Chinese website

Multiple videos and images purportedly showing Hunter Biden engaging in sexual acts with several women and using drugs were uploaded on a Chinese digital video platform Saturday evening.

The videos and images appear to be uploaded by a single user on GTV, with many of the photos seemingly from a third-party laptop. GTV, a subsidiary of GTV Media Group, was founded in April 2020 by Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui and Steve Bannon, a former senior adviser to President Trump.

“U.S. presidential candidate Joe Biden is 100% controlled by the Chinese Communist Party as one of the most successful political instances of the BGY program,” the text in one of the videos reads. “He is also a target of the CCP’s 3F plan, which aims to ‘fall, fail, and fell,’ to weaken, destroy and kill America!”

The Washington Examiner confirmed earlier this week that Bannon had access to the contents of the hard drive believed to have belonged previously to Hunter Biden.

  176. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Beare

We joined six other couples at a waterside restaurant on the upper northern beaches for lunch today. Quite a large space, numerous tables set, but the place was empty except for another group of four. Lack of customers possible due to bad weather, but general view was that many people of retirement age were still not going out much. Fear of Covid is a thing, as we find in our neck of the woods too. The less than stellar food probably didn’t help. Perhaps to keep afloat they had to fire the chef and the owners cooked, for its pre-Covid reputation was very good. We had this once a while ago in a struggling restaurant in Qld, where the owner’s teenage son had been called in for the night. Worse than having one of my own teens cooking. Potatoes are not meant to be still hard, I had to gently let on to him. His omelette the next morning was like eating yellow plasticine, but we tried to be nice. Very filling, I said with a smile.

When we got home about 4.30 the wind was up and some serious rain was falling. Poor little mother Currawong was tenting over her babies, who were all four of them hands and beaks out in front of her, their little bodies still being kept to some extent warm and dry. The little mum was totally drenched and the whole little tableau looked very alone and miserable. Then along came good old teenage dad with some bread he’d picked up somewhere and dispensed it to hungry mouths. When the squall had passed I put out some minced meat and both parents helped themselves to keep up their efforts for a rough night ahead. At our lunch I passed around my phone with pics of my latest little sweeties and surprised everyone with the birds when they were expecting my latest little human. We hadn’t yet transferred the heartwarming shots of our own daughter and her kiddie clutch: the new baby plus the other two under six. In her case, the dad is on crutches, having just broken his foot at footie; not the best thing to do when you are being relied on for physical support as well as breadwinning duties. Daughter was less than thrilled by that.

Speaking of footie, Hairy tells me the Westies aren’t doing too well, but Melbourne fans might be happier; as happy as they can be with lunatic epidemiologist Dangerous Dan in charge. I can hear it going on still.

EXCLUSIVE SOURCE: Biden Daughter’s Diary Details ‘Not Appropriate’ Showers With Joe As Child
“Was I molested. I think so.”

National File has obtained what a whistleblower has identified as a copy of the complete diary of Ashley Blazer Biden, the 39-year-old daughter of Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden, dating from during the 2020 presidential campaign. National File also knows the reported precise location of the physical diary, and has been told by a whistleblower that there exists an audio recording of Ashley Biden admitting this is her diary.
In the diary, which our source says belongs to the former vice president’s daughter, the author writes of her struggle with drug abuse. Ashley Biden’s struggle with drugs was widely publicized in 2009.

According to our source, the diary also details Ashley Biden’s unhealthy relationship with sex, and the “probably not appropriate” showers she shared as a young girl with her father, Joe Biden.

No wonder Old Joe enjoyed parading naked in front of male and female secret service agents.

No, I reckon hunter has the dick edge; looking at the senile old coot joe I reckon he was a solid 7″; in his prime.

But seriously, Trump should make an add about the bidens based on this scene; the issue is who would be on the banjo, joe or hunter:

    Jesus Christ.

Four pages of OT since this morning? I only just had time to recognise Dot’s earlier reference to Caballero Home Video, whose works are of course timeless.

Aside from the hairstyles, of course.

  216. cohenite

I don’t know where the fuck that came from; this is what I meant:

  217. Armadillo

How could they possibly confirm that?

Exactly. They can’t. It’s total bullshit.

My thoughts are that both Bannon and Rudi are expecting to cop the full onslaught of an attack from the left. And it’s started. They are prepared to take the arrows. They knew they were coming.

    The MSM will be relentless.

    They will stand sure.

  218. Dot

    So

Bannon and Rudi are just acting as a paladin and a healer to walk the media away from attacking their wizard warrior general the god-emperor Trump.

    Hmmm

Does Hunter roll a 1D9 from his wizard sleeve?

  219. Old School Conservative

My lot spent every second winter weekend playing under the grandstand at Milner while I watched the Mighty Woods go around.

Mick, you allowed them to be on the opposite side of the ground to where you stood?

  220. Ƶĩppʯ (ȊꞪꞨV)

google is up to its old tricks, search for biden hard drive and the top results are stories from vox, slate and NYT trying to discredit the story

  221. Knuckle Dragger

    High drama at the crikkit!

Today was going to a a semi and a GF in the annual post-season T20 comp. It is heavily populated by subcontinental types who play during the regular season, and this comp brings in imports as well. Heavily sponsored. Lots of money involved.

Naturally, all the teams are divided along ethnic lines. Bangers, Pakis, Indians, Lankans. The semi this morning was between one of the Paki crews (high flyers, expected to take it all home) and one of the Indian lot. They are not enamoured of each other.

Paki innings – all relatively smooth, 20 overs, Injuns needed 173.

  222. Tel

Does Hunter roll a 1D9 from his wizard sleeve?

He rolled a 9.5 but only in the netherworld universe … his bonus always gets reduced when he crosses back to the earthly plane.

  223. dover_beach

PVO, all he could do was complain about Kennett calling Andrews a ‘dictator’. Rent conservative.

    A well informed man I see. 😁

That was the dilemma every game Old School Conservative – there would be a dozen of us, twenty, in the close group and always there was the debate about being close to the bar looking into the sun or being far away, cold in the shade with a good view. I treasure those days in fine, happy company.

A business that hasn’t been captured by The Left:

  227. Knuckle Dragger

    Injun innings.

The clear favourites, the Pakis, shelled a couple of sodas early on and got the shits with themselves, and then the Injuns. Snark, low-to-mid-level, sometimes in English, sometimes not.

Frivolous yet excessive appeals started to creep in.

Then there was a send-off, followed by protestations of innocence. Stern words were delivered by the muscular and impossibly good-looking umpire. Calm resumed.

    Briefly. Then:

Naturally, all the teams are divided along ethnic lines. Bangers, Pakis, Indians, Lankans.

Not many opportunities to fire out rangas with suspect LBWs among that lot.

  229. Armadillo

Bannon and Rudi are just acting as a paladin

It’s about time you caught up, Dotty/Frank/Sedition.

Trump is a master strategist (possibly controlled by Stimpy).
