Emmy for actor pretending to be a governor.

  2. Bronson

That should go down well with families of the nursing home dead, same for Dan of the dead really.

  3. Lee

    What a sick joke.
What is it about the Left and their self-congratulating over their Covid bungling?

  4. dasher

Just when you thought you had hit peak madness!

They are trying to make people ignore their own sense – I mean, he is winning awards, so he must have been doing well, mustn’t he?

  6. Aynsley Kellow

He didn’t just force the nursing homes to accept them, he prohibited them from even testing them – and managed to hit a death rate double Belgium – the worst European state.

Best line I’ve seen – good thing they aren’t giving him a Grammy, he’d just kill her.

(It occurs to me that language doesn’t always survive trans-ocean travel. “Grammy” is one of many slang words in the US for grandmother.)

If ever an event encapsulated the slavishly sycophantic incurious media this would be it. How does he get away with it?

  9. Robber Baron

Marxists give awards to Marxist murderers.

    Marxism is a death cult.

  10. Fair Shake

Surely Dan deserved Australian of the Year.

  11. rickw

What about Dickhead Dan?! We can’t have suffered the Bat Eared Mong for him not to get an award?!!

Accept it or he’ll have both your legs broken.

  13. With real headlines like these, The Babylon Bee is in danger of extinction.

What ever happens to Donald J Trump’s political life, he will be remembered as the man who single-handedly exposed the legacy media.
He started exposing Fox about a year ago. Their true agenda was finally fully revealed on election night and every day since.

The legacy media was always going to go down to the new media. Trump has accelerated that 10 fold.
For that alone he should be given a Nobel of some sort.

Whens the ABC going to give 820 deaths Dan a medal?….you all know they want to.

Andrew Cuomo to receive Emmy award

That and $4.25 will get him a cappuccino at Starbucks.

  16. Dot

    Wow Aynsley.

Cuomo is a monster. Did Trump ever tweet about this? Or do a presser? No, he’s low energy. Too low energy to dismantle the FBI or even flog Crazy Old Joe in a debate.

    Anyway, what a circle jerk.

Dot and others: the detail of Cuomo’s conduct is remarkable.

Here is the full story I put before some love-struck NY Dems back in July:

As Governor Andrew Cuomo faced a spirited challenge in his bid to win New York’s 2018 Democratic primary, his political apparatus got a last-minute boost: a powerful healthcare industry group suddenly poured more than $1m into a Democratic committee backing his campaign.

Less than two years after that flood of cash from the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), Cuomo signed legislation last month quietly shielding hospital and nursing home executives from the threat of lawsuits stemming from the coronavirus outbreak. The provision, inserted into an annual budget bill by Cuomo’s aides, created one of the nation’s most explicit immunity protections for healthcare industry officials, according to legal experts.

You might not have seen the actual directive issued by Cuomo on 25 March. That is probably because it has been conveniently ‘disappeared’. If you go to the site where it was posted
https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/system/files/documents/2020/03/doh_covid19-_nhadmissionsreadmissions_-032520.pdf, you will find the message:
‘We’re sorry, the page that you are looking for is not found.’ So much for open and accountable government. The heading on my browser says ‘Access Denied’.

(You are now directed to an April 30 version).

Fortunately, the Wayback Machine has preserved it for posterity.

The following statement appears in that document:
‘No resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to the NH solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. NHs are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.’

Note that, while this is described as an ‘Advisory’, the language used throughout is that of command. The word ‘must’ appears repeatedly.

It was well established by 25 March that around 80% of those infected with the SARS-Covid-2 virus were asymptomatic, so were not identified as suffering from COVID-19, but could still be carrying the infection.
Cuomo prohibited nursing homes from even testing patients discharged from hospitals to see whether they carried an infection with them, and many did, when they were readmitted as he required.

Sinclair bump this up to a full post. Aynsley has done us a public service. This is better than “professional” journalism.
