King Charles will be huge ‘wake up call’ for Australia and may spark republican rebellion (26 Nov)

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Sandy Biar, national director at Australian Republic Movement, said: “The notion of a ‘King of Australia’ is as foreign to Australians as the monarchy itself.

“His ascension will be a shocking wake up call for Australians – many of which are completely unaware the British Monarchy has any formal role in Australia’s system of government.

“Charles has been a divisive and controversial figure in Australia and the UK for quite some time, and his ascension will bring about an unprecedented period of instability and uncertainty for the monarchy.”

Interesting that he coyly touches on the actual problem with Charles, which is he is a fruitcake green-lefty. That’s not something he can say out loud of course, because the rusted-on ARM supporters tend to be green-lefties. It’ll be fun when they get their next referendum and are surprised find about 80% of the country votes yes.

Similar to the show I was watching on BBC Earth last night.
They’ve come to the inconvenient conclusion that Feedlots (they cleverly call it High Intensity Farming) is the most sustainable way to raise animals because it significantly reduces methane emissions and the requirement to clear land for grazing (though they failed to even acknowledge how much land would need to be cleared if the world was to be fed strictly on a plant based diet).
This is first time most of these green lunatics have faced a moral dilemma. It’s good to see a little realism being felt.

It’s interesting to speculate which uni common rooms started this latest marxist diktat that XY can be a woman. Lysenkoism for the 21st century. Also it’s great for the marxists to humiliate people by getting them to state as true things that are clearly ridiculous. Higher ejucashun has metastasized into something that is truly evil.

The feedstock for FeedLots can only come from clearing even more land for grain.
The difference here is that Grain eventually depletes the Soil, resulting in desert, while grazing Cattle fertilises and replenishes the soil.
It’s a 2 Step Bait & Switch, make a phony case for Feedlots replacing Open Grazing, then present the evidence on Feedlots and close everything.

Yep….a few months ago I wrote a comment under one of Bernard Lane’s excellent pieces on the transgender nonsense in the Oz. I wrote that there are only two (2) sexes. The comment was rejected…within seconds. So I wrote a complaint to the digital editor and I played the left at their own game. I said that the Australian censors (which they are…I refuse to call them moderators) are engaging in “biology denial” and “science denial”….I used “denial” purposely because the left love to throw the whole “climate denial” meme out there. I also said there’s more chance of seventy-two virgins in paradise than there is of fifty-two genders. My comment was reinstated…quite quickly.

  43. Tintarella di Luna

A bit of No Idea just to mix it up a little – was reading about Gordon “Hell’s Kitchen” Ramsay – he has five children ranging in age from 22 to 17 months — his older son has joined the Royal Marines.

  44. You were never shot at, you never shot anyone, you never served . You folded blankets and harrassed servicemen.

There are five lies in this little piece of spite.
Let’s start with the first one “You were never shot at”.
On 13th March 1970, as the second last member in a patrol, I was shot at by the lead section of the following platoon. The tail end Charlie, who was about five metres behind me, was wounded in the face. This incident is described in Michael O’Brien’s Conscripts and Regulars, p 163, and Bruce Ravenscroft’s Contact, Wait Out, p 67. 174. There is also an arse-covering after action report in the Commander’s diaries if you have time to dig.
On 22nd April, 1970, I was involved in a day-long incident when B Coy encountered a bunker system. This is described by Michael O’Brien on p 174, and by Bruce Ravenscroft on p 99, in their respective narratives. We took 1 KIA, 2 WIA, and were rescued by Centurions. In this incident, we were nearly cleaned up by an American airstrike. This incident is also covered in the diaries. I had a fairly unremarkable tour, but I was shot at. I also fired off a round or two, but hopefully, didn’t hit anything.
So that’s Johno’s first two lies.

    You never served.

There’s a record of my service here. If Johno had the courage of his convictions, he’d link to his.

    You folded blankets

We didn’t use blankets. Lie four.

    you then harassed servicemen

The only servicemen I can recall “harassing” were the Yanks we occasionally traded with. They could be persuaded to exchange just about anything for slouch hats. The QM turned a blind eye if we finished up with high quality kit we could use.

The most puzzling aspect of his lying is the motive.
It could be a disorder, it could be an old man’s bitterness, it could be that he enjoys basking in the kowtowing of the usual suspects, or perhaps he just doesn’t like my politics.
But guineas to gooseberries, like a few others here, he wouldn’t repeat these lies if he wasn’t anonymous.
    That’s always the acid test.

I know Lizzie. I just find it utterly offensive that this creep…aka Numbers…aka racist…gets off on dead Americans. And the fact that he shows his face here after his offensive smear last night and his consequent drubbing is clear proof that he has no friends and no life. He’s a very sad case.

Just because we transition to having him on the back of the coins doesn’t mean a referendum or a revolution.

Decades ago Ian Chappell took on an omnipotent Bradman, as emperor of the Australian Cricket Board, to assure a reasonable income for the national team players. He did that notwithstanding the ACB had crudely belted his predecessor, Bill Lawry, to leg for attempting to do the same.

I have long held that the players since should be forever grateful to the exceptional Chappelli for his strength and leadership in achieving that for them. I think it amusing that the recent mob of national heroes, from Missy Michael Clarke onwards, are determined to dignify his efforts by destroying support for the game at every opportunity. I’ve lost track of the dedicated posts so my apologies if this is meant to be elsewhere.

I’m sick and tired of our useless jellylivered spineless excuse for a federal government which is now backing defence in its move to sack SAS soldiers.

Grunts (a term of endearment BTW) who witnessed the alleged murders have been issued termination notices.
BEFORE the allegations have been tested in court.
So let me get this right – the alleged events may or may not have occurred but the witnesses to these events get sacked!

I’m furious that the government is not taking collective responsibility for whatever happened.
I’m as mad as hell that grunts are being scapegoated.

It’s called freedomaustralia.freeforums.net . I had nothing to do with setting it up, that was NFA, but thought it was a good insurance policy, so supported it as who knows when the socialists will come after Sinclair for good.
Declared by the sneering doodle heads here as free furniture or some such rot, I post my (most) morning rants there, so Notafan doesn’t get offended with reading too much truth all at once, and those that wish to read political comments from me or NFA, MV, Cardimona, and many others now, indeed anyone who wants to make one, and start their own threads on subjects they chose, can do so.
It connects to and supports this blog.

“Call Indians ni**ers and they will disavow their blackness and start giving the Nazi salute.

I will buy this when they stop calling people from UP “forest hooligans” and monkeys.”

Throughout South East Asia people of no appearance are treated with suspicion, openly taunted in public and all round reviled. There have been instances of beatings by crowds in India when they are suspected of drug peddling and other crimes.

When I first saw the Australian headline I recalled, as you will Dot, Rahul Dravid’s / Anil Kumble’s Indians giving Andrew Symonds stick in their 2007 tour and succeeding, both in putting him off his game and in putting the ACB in its place. Their vociferous supporters amused themselves mightily that summer with their monkey imitations from the stands.

The ACB gave Symonds indifferent, muted support up until the point when they realised that was commercially and politically unviable. The Indians indignantly reminded everyone just who owns the game, the ACB folded and that was the end of his career.

I imagine the Indians will embrace this stunt at the SCG as enthusiastically and sincerely as they do for the Ernie Dingo Dance-like-Peter-Garrett Jerkabout which precedes play. The young Australians and their coach, who know nothing about anything much, will take it very, very, very seriously – some with a tear in their eye.

    Well, it is 2020.

Dead minks infected with a mutated form of COVID-19 rise from graves after mass culling (25 Nov)

Minks infected with a mutated strain of COVID-19 in Denmark appear to be rising from the dead, igniting a national frenzy and calls from local officials to cremate mink carcasses.

While the sight itself is certainly terrifying for the residents of West Jutland, a region of the country grappling with confirmed COVID-19 cases connected to mink, there is likely a scientific explanation for the zombie-like reemergence from their graves.

Because of the rushed burial, the animals were placed in shallow graves – just over three feet deep. Now, officials plan to bury the creatures in graves nearly double the depth. The area will be also monitored nonstop until a fence can be set up, the Guardian reported.

    Deeper please.

The officer was a member of the C.I.A.’s paramilitary division, the Special Activities Center, and a former member of the Navy’s elite SEAL Team 6.”

I wouldn’t rush to judgment, Zyconoclast (I have long wanted to write that 😃) – they may well have been there to monitor a local election, to ensure the rigorous accounting of legitimate votes, to supervise unobstructed access for voters, electoral officials and party representatives alike, to bring the free and fair advanced democratic processes employed in the USA …

“CIA” I see – they could have been operating under the explicit orders of the ex-wife of Mr Jeff Haspel, who is the CIA Director. She is in the same camp as the recently sacked Defence chief public servant Mark Esper – receives official Presidential directions and picks and chooses which ones to obey, ran interference for Deep State (by not releasing damning documents) just prior to the coup d’état, that sort of thing. Acting in the best interests of Americans, of course. FBI Director Wray is on that team too – what a deceitful place the USA has become.

America has certainly “learned nothing”. It is crumbling and decaying as we watch and the demolishers are making a motza.

Australians provide Special Forces with support to stop medal citation stripping

Australia’s embattled Special Forces have received public reinforcements in their campaign to retain a unit citation medal, which could be taken off them.

The nation’s embattled Special Forces have received public reinforcements in their campaign to retain a unit citation medal the head of the Australian Defence Force wants to strip from them for the alleged sins of a few.

A live petition has attracted more than 40,000 signatures since going live this week after ADF chief General Angus Campbell announced the Special Operations Task Group Afghanistan citation would be taken off up to 3000 current of former soldiers.

The stripping of the Meritorious Unit Citation (2007-2013) came after the ADF Inspector General’s Brereton Inquiry referred 36 briefs to the Australian Federal Police for alleged war crimes by Special Forces including 23 unlawful deaths and two acts of cruelty.

UPDATE 1-China to impose temporary anti-dumping measures on Australian wine imports
    27 11 2020 01:05pm AEDT
(Adds details from commerce ministry, Treasury Wine share price)
BEIJING/SYDNEY, Nov 27 (Reuters) – China will impose temporary anti-dumping measures on wine imported from Australia from Nov. 28, the Ministry of Commerce said on Friday, in a move likely to further escalate trade and diplomatic tensions between Beijing and Canberra.
Importers bringing in investigated products will need to pay deposits to China’s customs authority, which will be calculated based on different rates the authority has assigned to various companies, according to the statement.
The rate required of Treasury Wine was 169.3%, the highest among all the named wine firms in the statement. Shares of Australia’s Treasury Wine Estates Ltd , the world’s largest listed winemaker, fell more than 13% before being put on a trading halt pending an announcement.
China’s commerce ministry did not specify how long the measures would last for. It said that it looked into samples from a few Australian firms, including that of Treasury Wines, Casella Wines and Australia Swan Vintage.
A spokesman for Australia’s Minister for Trade Simon Birmingham did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
China in August began an anti-dumping probe into imports of Australian wine at the request of the Chinese Alcoholic Drinks Association. Earlier this month, the association called for retrospective tariffs on Australian wine imports.
Beijing’s latest move comes against a backdrop of increasing tension between the countries after Canberra called for an international inquiry into the origins of the novel coronavirus.
China is the top market for Australian wine exports and is also Australia’s largest trading partner, with two-way trade worth A$235 billion ($170 billion) last year.

Forgive me if I don’t burst into tears at the thought of Treasury Wine Estates copping a belting.
They piled into the Chinese market and prioritised it over Australian consumers at every turn.
The mere fact that their pricing ensured Australians paid full tote whilst they were buying market share in China leaves them open to accusations of dumping (albeit a little bit contrived by the Chunks).

A 90% effective COVID vaccine… yairs…. strange how the companies don’t put any error bars on their estimates, and no one in the legacy media asks for them.

The Pfizer study had 43,538 participants and was analyzed after 164 cases. So, roughly 150 out 21,750 participants (less than 0.7 percent) became PCR positive in the control group and about one-tenth that number in the vaccine group became PCR positive. The Moderna trial had 30,000 participants. There were 95 “cases” in the 15,000 control participants (about 0.6 percent) and 5 “cases” in the 15,000 vaccine participants (about one-twentieth of 0.6 percent). The “efficacy” figures quoted in these announcements are odds ratios.

This was the then Eco-resort* – 2 x 150 kW Gensets to supply a whole Eco-resort – one Genset could supply the lot on its own – I was there to fine tune the biggest load step in case the second Genset had to autostart and sync up.
It was whilst turning on the construction site kitchen in the morning. c. 20 kW vs the envisaged 20 hp (15 kW) water pump from the nearby creek supplying fresh water.
The second set never needed to start up, they simply auto swapped over standby duties for equal wear based on running hours – PLC smarts.
