The most obvious answer is the appointment of a special counsel blocks President Trump from declassifying material under the investigative authority of Durham.
Barr has painted Trump into a legal box, and justified the non-release of evidence adverse to FBI/DOJ and Mueller.

Snitching would be job threatening and even life threatening in this situation.

Workers were sent home in the early hours of the morning, when the 10,000+ votes streamed in only for Biden and none for Trump which is statistically crazy and the data jumped from Trump column to Biden column as if by magic.
Even so, some workers would have their suspicions. But if you think about, who would feel secure enough to snitch really? would it be worth it to you and your family’s wellbeing, given all we have seen with Antifa and Democratic thugs.

  8. Ƶĩppʯ (ȊꞪꞨV) says:

There has been a complete breakdown of law and order that has been institutionalised under obummer.

It’s one of the great achievement of western civilisation that we have been able to move from sorting out differences on the battlefield and into the courtroom or the ballot box. Clearly when both have become corrupt, compromised and pointless there is only one option remaining to take back control of law and order.

  9. John of Mel says:

Barr claimed that the FBI has followed up on specific complaints of voter fraud yet they have uncovered no evidence that would change the outcome.

So, they did find voter fraud. Will there be a deeper investigation? Will people responsible be persecuted?
Or is voter fraud considered by DOJ akin to a child lying when asked “who took the cookie?” – everybody lies at times.
Where is the rule of law???

I must have missed the bit in that 7-0 high court decision where they found the witness guilty of perjury.

  11. twostix says:

Dunno. That was a long time ago in software terms, though. Technological development marches on. I daresay the Dominion machines have little or no code from the Diebold machines, probably written in a different language.

Was there any massive software cheating in this election? I would have thought the recounts in Wisconsin and Georgia would have put a lie to that one. The discrepancies, all on minor scales, have come from human error with missing data.

Is it technically possible to cheat in state elections using Dominion? Sure. That is true of any software voting system. Is it operationally possible to cheat in state elections using Dominion given the large amount of people who check the numbers in real time? No, it’s not really. The conspiracy would have to include way too many people to be workable. There is no way you get 10,000+ people across six states to join that sort of conspiracy without a single person snitching.

    This is delicious.

2008 wasn’t “a long time ago” in systems development you idiot.

Here’s m0nty’s favourite bugman “tech” site, boingboing in 2016, right the moment before the dumbo left were told “stop talking about voting machines – we’ve got this in 2020”:

It’s been thirteen years since we started writing here about the shenanigans of the electronic voting machine industry, who were given a gift when, after the contested 2000 elections, Congress and the Supreme Court signaled that elections officials had to go and buy new machines.

Over the past decade-plus, it’s only gotten worse. There was that time that Diebold sent thousands of legal threats to suppress information about its cover-up of faults in its voting machines (this story got worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse, culminating in a landmark judgment against Diebold,

There were the 2006 voting machine debacles (it got worse). In 2007, the company that certified voting machines was decertified. That was also the year that security researchers started buying used evoting machines for pennies on the dollar on Ebay and subjecting them to scrutiny (Dan Rather wasn’t amused).

In 2008, Sequoia pulled a Diebold over its own machines, threatening academics who reported defects in their products (their saber-rattling scared a New Jersey town so badly that it decided not to audit the machines it used in its own elections). Sequoia was later found to have some pretty weird code in its machines, including what looks like an election-rigging subroutine.

In 2010, evoting spread to India, starting a national dumpster fire (they arrested the guy who revealed that the machines were useless, which definitely fixed things!).

In 2011, we learned that New Jersey’s voting machines were unsafe at any speed. In the 2012 elections, Ohio’s GOP Secretary of State ordered a last-minute, unaudited reflash of the state’s voting machines (seems legit).

Now, security researchers are sounding alarm bells about the 2016 elections, and Bloomberg Businessweek has written up its own massive, investigative piece on the manifest unsuitability of US voting machines for any purpose apart from serving as object lessons in bad systems design.

Then suddenly….it was never spoken about again.

Now in 2020, it’s all “insecure voting machines? HAHAHAHAHAHA YOU SO STUPID”.

  26. Rorschach says:

Hey Candy what’s the point of starting a political party if you know you will never be allowed to win an election?

USA may have seen the last of a conservative type President for some time?

That is how the left has won. Everywhere now…

Trump was rich enough, feisty enough and pugnacious enough to take on the Deep State. He nearly got away with it. Whilst he made the Deep State expose itself, [the overt media / big tech censorship, the FBI bias, the military push to war etc] I suspect that even he was surprised at the end how big and ruthless to protect itself it would be. With impunity, twitter / facebook are censoring “incorrect” views and news; FBI and the DOJ are totally biased prosecuting to the max one side and ignoring (not even investigating) malfeasance by the other, the state Governors are allowing (encouraging) businesses to be burnt down by rampaging mobs and arresting those who dare not wear a mask… And that leads to those that benefit from this – the Amazons, Googles, Disney and other media conglomerates. They have made massive amount of profits from the COVID hype. The damage done during the Obama 8 years just could not be undone.

Remember – Trump was best mates with the Oprahs, a Democrat for most of his life … and is not a small government / balanced budget kind of guy, has reduced US military hegemony and started peace talks most consider impossible… And yet he has been designated as the biggest threat to America and Global democracy EVEAH!

He and his family have been put through criminal investigations over and over again, his wife is ostracised by those who put Michael Obama up as a paragon of beauty and style. And the list goes on.

The left knows that all the judicial inquiries and investigations have no merit. [The Muller investigation knew that before it was formed!] But they use lawfare / public funds to bankrupt and otherwise destroy anyone they see as a threat – pour encourager les autres – to send a message. [Note: the draconian arrests of pregnant mums, grannies in parks, and fining of L plate teenagers is very much in this category : BEHAVE and OBEY and you’ll be fine]

So if someone like Trump can’t do it – who will take on the Swamp next? Who is rich enough, and “clean” enough to withstand what Trump has? And – given they are in the open – the Deep State can act with impunity as they have found out that no one is prepared to stop them.

Note: I will bet that Trump will end up in jail – not only to reinforce the message, but for the simple reason that they can’t have him organising a resistance.

Acquisitions like that can sometimes be about tech, but they are more usually about buying the user contracts.

I am quite prepared to concede that Dominion’s software would have similar backdoors to Diebold’s, maybe even using the same code, but that is not particularly relevant tbh. The far more difficult part of managing a conspiracy that would make use of such backdoors would be managing the software inside people’s heads, given the extremely broad nature of the cadre required to hide everything.

They targeted demcrat run cities with democrat controlled judiciary and sherifs. Most people involved need do no more than turn a blind eye. Corrupt election officials can simply say they are following orders, most of what the low level fraud involves is loose interpretation of the rules. Stacking the rules before the election is where a lot of effort went, again that is cooperative judges and corrupt senior officials.
The number of corrupt officials strategising and planning would be very small. There was clearly coordination to shut down the count so that fake ballots or system resets could catch up. This is the real target of any investigation, could take years to nail them.

Marches can only do so much … and I really can’t see MAGA people burning down small businesses – and even if they do, we know that is quite acceptable to the Democrats and Amazon.

And if they ramp up the internet “resistance” – Google, Twitter and Facebook will just censor and ban these into the deepest corners of the dark web – along with the other tinfoil hat conspiracists. And the techs will refuse to host the Parlers / Gabs, the telcos will prevent messaging with links to any that are independent, and the Banks will not allow payments to be made to these. And the government will criminalise not only protest – but even filming it! There is plenty of precedent [the French gilet jaune protests across most of two years achieved precisely nothing:

    https://peoplesworld.org/article/france-bans-citizens-from-filming-and-identifying-violent-police-officers/

A line has been crossed with this election.

A resistance has to be by other means… I did speculate on what can / must be done before. But it will be difficult enough without China – who is now the real Kraken that has been released – in the picture. And that is another – and probably greater – issue altoghether.

Failing that – maybe there is a need for a new (possibly temporary) bi-partisan Patriot party – formed from existing Dems & Repubs that has the majority in both the house and senate – to govern until the election issue is investigated & resolved and new election protocols agreed and voted in … [security guaranteed to ensure one man one vote principle]

My suggestion was that – to maintain peace while the above is sorted – Pence becomes president and a Democrat becomes VP … so even bi-partisanship is maintained there… [I would love 4 more years of Trump – but I suspect that is now impossible without forcing a civil war]

FelixK is lying here, or he is ignorant of what the courts have actually done. I remember when he ran in here breathlessly quoting Brann’s judgement. Brann never looked at the evidence. It was a ‘motion to dismiss’ hearing where you are supposed to assume the evidence is true and correct, and he dismissed the case on ‘standing’ issues. In fact, if you look at the cases, the judgments have been cowardly and absurd. In two of the Penn Supreme Court cases, they dismissed the first case saying that observing the count didn’t mean ‘meaningful observation’ of the count so being unable to observe the ballots or signatures because you are too far away was within the law because all the law allegedy required was that you be ‘in the room’. In the other case, they didn’t even address the constitutionality of Act 77 even though a tria court suggested it was likely unconstitutional, they dismissed the ‘standing’ of the litigants arguing ‘laches’, that they litigated too late. However, when they in a similar case addressed the mail-in ballots, they argued that the lacked standing because they had, as of yet, not suffered any harm.

Trump Steps up Pressure on Kemp: ‘Do Something’ About Georgia Election

President Donald Trump on Tuesday stepped up the pressure on Georgia’s GOP Gov. Brian Kemp to “do something” to bypass state election officials and uncover a “gold mine” of fraud.

Kemp’s office promptly countered he’s barred by state law from “interfering in elections.”

“You allowed your state to be scammed,” Trump raged in a morning tweet. “We must check signatures and count signed envelopes against ballots. Then call off election. It won’t be needed. We will all WIN!”

On Monday, Trump also asserted Kemp could do more to change the outcome of the race in Georgia.

“Why won’t Governor @BrianKempGA, the hapless Governor of Georgia, use his emergency powers, which can be easily done, to overrule his obstinate Secretary of State, and do a match of signatures on envelopes,” he tweeted. “It will be a ‘goldmine’ of fraud, and we will easily WIN the state.”

The president added that Kemp should “quickly check the number of envelopes versus the number of ballots.”

“You may just find that there are many more ballots than there are envelopes,” Trump wrote. “So simple, and so easy to do. Georgia Republicans are angry, all Republicans are angry.”

    “Get it done!” Trump urged.

Q rubbish. Nothing – NOTHING – at all about that “German raid” makes any sense whatsoever.

    1. Why would the CIA have a “server farm” in Germany?
    2. Why would the CIA have a presence in Germany?
    3. Why would state election results be sent to the CIA? If manipulation of the vote counts was done, it would surely be done before being sent to any outside agency. How and why would the CIA be involved?
    4. Why would the director of the CIA, Gina Haspel, participate in an armed raid, on foreign soil?
    5. Why has no news of the “firefight” (sufficient to kill 5 soldiers) leaked out of Germany?
    6. How is it that dozens of heavily armed US soldiers can just enter Germany, have a firefight, then leave?

I can understand that the CIA would have servers, but surely they (and their mirrors) would be in highly secure locations in the USA. The CIA “presence” in Germany would have to be inside the US embassy, but many german people would work there.

West Germany was for many years a major station for the CIA. Not saying the raid happened. But if it did, I would expect that it was done with silencers and pretty small weapons such as Uzi. I also would imagine the farm would be underground as well, and be heavily reinforced to protect against EW threats. The question for me is how did they get in. Presumably if you have a secure CIA facility in a third country you have got some robust security to get into the facility. One possible way would be for a the military to hack the security system to open appropriate security doors – perhaps they came in from a loading dock or fire exit. I would imagine that the farm would be quite large, so they would need to know what servers or blades to take.

Let’s see what some of those judges actually said in relation to the Evidence.

The 21-page ruling by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals was a complete repudiation of Mr. Trump’s legal effort to halt Pennsylvania’s certification process and was written by a judge that he himself appointed to the bench. “Free, fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy,” Judge Stephanos Bibas wrote on behalf of the appeals court in a unanimous decision. “Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here.”

U.S. District Judge Matthew W. Brann described the case put forth by the president’s campaign as a tortured “Frankenstein’s Monster” and the remedy it sought — effectively disenfranchising nearly seven million voters in the state — as “unhinged.”
“One might expect that when seeking such a startling outcome, a plaintiff would come formidably armed with compelling legal arguments and factual proof of rampant corruption,” he wrote in his 37-page opinion. “Instead, this court has been presented with strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations … unsupported by the evidence.”

“In NY-22, the Democrat incumbent was trailing by almost 30K on election night,” said Hot Air editor Jazz Shaw on Twitter. “The mail-in ballots got him close. Then a Democrat judge from Syracuse ruled he would personally ‘review’ all of the spoiled ballots that had been rejected. Guess what happened next.”

“The judge miraculously ‘found’ enough ballots that he felt were okay and the incumbent now ‘leads’ by 13 votes,” Shaw continued.

It wouldn’t matter because no one looked at the original evidence. There were literally ZERO evidentiary hearings in the Pen case. If you are blocked from presenting any evidence to the court, then unsurprisingly the court doesn’t get to see any evidence.

The appeal would be on matters as to whether the plaintiffs have standing and whether they deserve equal protection as guaranteed by 14th Amendment. Besides that, the matter that some counties allowed “curing” while other counties did not is a matter of public record and hardly in dispute.

No, they have dismissed the evidence by a wide margin, you dishonest arsehole. The courts have taken the view that if the claim wouldn’t overturn the winner, they won’t hear the case.

The entire case was over whether the legal argument had merit … irrespective of any evidence.

Multiple paths are happening in parallel … in the federal courts they are heading to SCOTUS and quite frankly no lower court would have the stones to overturn a presidential election anyhow. It’s a hot potato and they are offloading it as fast as possible. The only thing that really matters here is 14th Amendment equal protection guarantee.

Sidney Powell is following a different path in multiple STATE courts on behalf of electors, she is claiming interference in the election itself and that’s all state law, nothing to do with the US Constitution.

You might want to go reread Rudy’s arguments before the court. Lots of assertions regarding fraud, like this:

“Giuliani also pressed the judge Tuesday to rule in their favor based on reports from campaign monitors who say they were prevented from “meaningfully” monitoring the counting of votes in Democratic-leaning counties, including Philadelphia”

None of the instances or allegations of fraud or cheating have been tested; none.

  184. dover_beach says:

Well, we could trust your assertion. Or we could read the actual words of the actual judges in the actual decisions. You know, where they consider and reject the evidence. Like I quote above.

No one has to trust my assertion and you’ve not read the actual words of either judge. All you’ve done is repeat without attribution the NYT report. They no where consider and reject any evidence as the plaintiffs are not required in such a motion to present their evidence as they would if the trial proceeded. Rather than contradict this claim, all you’ve done is repeat your initial, now rebutted, claim.
