How did PDT achieve so much surrounded as he was by so many enemies?

Of course, the supreme good was he prevented Hilary from being president for the past four years. And he revealed how vile the Deep State is, although much good knowing it now will do us. And he ought to have shown us that the media are completely untrustworthy, but instead taught us how stupid most people are about the source of their freedoms and prosperity given how willing they were to be led down garden paths. But he still has friends, aside from me, who will remember Donald Trump as the greatest, bravest President of our lifetime. You are guaranteed never to see his like again no matter how young you are or how long you live. You have witnessed the fall of the American Republic and its replacement with a fascist state. Here is a sample among those who have stayed the course.

Sarah Hoyt

AGAIN, THE QUESTION IS, WHAT ELSE COULD AMERICANS DO? WHAT OTHER AVENUE DID THEY LEAVE US?  The crowd in the Capitol. For years I’ve told the left that when they used fraud to win, they’d broken the feedback mechanism.  It didn’t mean their ideas were winning, that people agreed with them, or that they were safe. It was the equivalent of breaking the fire alarm and thinking they were safe from fires. What I never expected was to hear the right condemn the people trying to break out of the burning building, because they don’t hear any fire alarms.

Ace of Spades

Good morning, kids. Wednesday and as we had all dreaded – although it’s not official – the two senate seats in Georgia are about to be stolen. Yet again, as I have no doubt that had the presidential election not been stolen from us nine weeks ago, those two seats would have been clearly won that night as well. And just like nine weeks ago, the vote counting has been stopped for the night in Chatham County, which I believe includes the city of Savannah, where our friend Jane D’Oh lives. No doubt she is either in a drunken stupor or tearing her hair out while no doubt, pallets of clean crisp ballots are being trucked in all neatly checked off next to the names of Ossoff and Warnock. Who is to blame for this, along with what happened on Election Day? Or put another way, which is worse; the Enemy who with malice aforethought rigged the election with the direct or indirect help of the Communist Chinese via a biological/psychological weapon in the form of a virus as a pretext to allow mass ballot dumping, or the Republican Party that did nothing to stop them before, during and after the fact, and then screamed bloody murder at anyone who complained? Whatever happens with this fiasco, and then another potential fiasco in Congress starting today with at least some decent souls standing up and objecting to the Electoral College results, America as we knew it and loved it, or at least perceived it is gone.

You are the sort of fool who would have voted for Neville Chamberlain and Lord Halifax in 1940.

And then cheered Britain’s collapseand subjugation. Be it in 1941 (as might have been) or post-1948, as it actually happened.

thought this comment over at powerline was spot on. trump has to wear the bulk of the blame for his continued foot faults.

“The tragedy is that we would now never know whether Trump was truly cheated on November 3rd because he failed to change strategies and treat this as a law enforcement matter.

More than his role as the candidate, it was Trump’s job as President to ensure that only legal votes counted, and he botched it.

The morons in the upper echelons of the Trump Campaign – including Donald Trump – adopted a failed strategy and then refused to change course long after it was conclusively proven to be a road to nowhere.

If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results, what do you call 60+ lawsuits?

Why was there no attempt by Trump to leverage Federal power to investigate what we all know/suspect happened, despite clear statutory authority?

This was ultimately nothing more than a case of document fraud – except we’re dealing with fraudulent ballots instead of bonds, deeds and checks.

President Trump should have appointed a Special Counsel – with or without the Attorney General – who would have treated this as a simple law enforcement matter.

The evidence so far collected that judges have dodged, rejected or dismissed without a moment of investigation or discovery provided a lot of material that could have gone into a probable cause statement.

And as in any fake document case, all you need to do is figure out the fake from the real, or vice versa. This would have just been on a larger scale.

And the tragedy was that it was actually very very doable.”

So much anger about being told they are redneck racists and social media trying to boycott their businesses and that they are deplorable worthless people who support Trump, and being put down again and again by Left media. Then the fraud, Biden stealing the election from the President they believe in.

i’ve been ‘maga’ since before that was the term for nationalist populists. and have been with trump from day 1 of his candidacy. so this is a bit of soul searching.
trump failed because of his poor choices in people. kelly, mooch, rex, bolton, nielsen, barr, sessions, jivanka (!!!) etc etc. he hired individuals with no discernible skills. what did nielsen accomplish in homeland?? nothing. what did ben carlson do at hud? nothing. meanwhile every single person obama hired worked tirelessly to progress their agenda. even at hud as some of us know.
trump did nothing to establish change that couldnt be rolled back easily. if he had EO’d sec230 right at the start like most of us were hoping, big tech would have collapsed under its own weight. 2018 mid-terms and the 2020 elections would have had an entirely diff outcome. why run a race with an anvil you tied to your own foot mr.trump?? then don’t complain that social media companies are out to get you. it’s dog eat dog dude. if you cucked- they won’t. he couldn’t even get tiktok banned! ffs.
he kept signing govt omnibus bills whinging and moaning how he hated it. not once did he just veto the damn thing. why not? even if it’s over-ridden, the veto shows you mean business. so much for having written the book on the art of the deal.
there’s so much more but for me the bigggest tell was that he never landed a ko punch ever, but talked a big game. his friends weren’t protected and his enemies didn’t fear him. that’s a lose/lose as far as i’m concerned. cleta mitchell was hounded out of her partnership in a national law firm for representing the trump campaign. had that ever happened to a democrat??
no declass. why not?? even now. wtf!
why didn’t he fight fire with fire. they had russia gate- he starts every other gate against obama, holder, jarrett, clinton and their families and friends.
it’s almost like he didn’t know he was president to channel ann coulter. these are all things that he could have done w/o needing the senate or the house to support him.
    what an opportunity squandered.

“Trump’s job as President to ensure that only legal votes counted, and he botched it….”

This is wrong reasoning altogether. First this is fifty states holding their own elections according to their own rules – Trump has very little authority. Secondly the critical states changed their rules to an “anything goes” approach where they wall accept any ballot with no ID even days after the election – and sent out millions and millions of blank ballots. It’s quite literally legalised fraud; it’s not a crime if we allow it to happen. Therefore the courts / legal /law enforcement approach didn’t work because it isn’t a crime if that state decides it isn’t.

Very high level people wanted rid of Trump at all cost.

  29. Chris M says:

Also I’m not seeing what was wrong with protestors entering the Capitol. It’s their building, belongs to the people. They aught not damage it once inside of course.

And the fact that Antifa joined with the Trump protestors just underlines that everyone – left and right – is unhappy with this election and that Pence should have called for an audit for the sake of preserving peace and life. Abundant evidence was produced by thousands of Americans.

He failed. The cheating crime is on the democrats and the resulting violence is on the courts and on Pence.

albatross- this is what i had in mind- an EO on sec230 could have easily stopped big tech in its tracks way back in 2017/18. there was a lot of demand from his base to do so. if it had been done then, no way would these social media companies have gotten so big and powerful like they have. they’d be bleeding cash being sued left and right.
and- the doj can pursue anti-trust and monopoly busting cases. that’s an executive power. if trump had done that in 17/18, again his base wanted it, they would not have been there to destroy him in 2020.
it’s like if the titanic hit a small ice floe instead of an iceberg. would have been a jolt- but not destructive. trump allowed these floes to grow to become icebergs.
there’s an old jungle saying in the phantom comic books- small tigers grow to become big tigers. so don’t let a small tiger into the village.

Sec 230 also protects sites like Gab, as Andrew Torba said time and again. The Hungarians had a better idea. If you’re prrotected by 230, you can be sued for censoring any legal comment.

The downside of that, of course, is that dissenting views are being rapidly reclassified as “hate speech,” and made illegal. They are already punishable by the HWC here in Oz.

Trump has been the most powerful person in the world for the past four years, the chief executive of America, with its vast investigative and intelligence capabilities. He told us repeatedly “we have it all” and “we caught them all,” yet there has been no reckoning or punishment for anything. Trump had the power to act, and if he didn’t, then that’s on him.

    25. Envelopes with signatures were shredded so validation cannot be made
    26. More votes received than voters
    27. Foreign interference

No wonder Pelosi calls for invoking the 25th amendment to remove Trump. And if Pence does not consent, she considers impeaching Trump as necessary, even though he has only 12 days left of his presidency.

What could Trump possibly do? Invoke the insurrection act?

Ultimately she died fighting for democracy, but not in Iraq, instead in the centre of power that told her to go and fight in the first place.

  116. max says:

Mr. Steve you believe in :

Salvation by Politics: A Liberal Heresy

there is not much that national elections can do to change the civil government. The budget is 85% fixed: non-discretionary spending. The existing laws of the books are close to fixed in a gridlocked government. The Federal Register will publish 80,000 pages of new regulations per year, no matter what. The President can appoint 4,000 federal employees out of 2.8 million. The House of Representatives is gerrymandered so that hardly any seats are in play. The U.S. census has a marginal effect in years ending in zero, but national politics does not change this. State politics does: more gerrymandering.

  117. max says:

    SALVATION BY LAW
The mainstream media, because they are intensely liberal, are intensely committed to politics. They are committed to the doctrine of salvation by politics. This is the doctrine of salvation by legislation, which always becomes salvation by executive regulation: the Federal Register. In short, this is salvation by law — not ethical, personal salvation — liberals do not believe in this, not believing in heaven or hell — but political law for corporate salvation.

  118. grazza says:

Not sure how they are going to get this “personality/we wus robbed cult to get back in touch with reality and to move on. Some of the protestors were interviewed yesterday and it is clear that they don’t get a balanced picture of what has really happened over the past 4 years as they only rely on the extreme right wing media sources as is clear that Steve K does. egg- not sure whats so bad with that outcome. pretty sweet if you ask me. pox on both houses and all.

  124. Grip says:

Gazza: he is a solid lefty, and that may put you off him, but the heart of the problem was discussed at length by David Roberts in a Vox article in 2017 America is facing an epistemic crisis. Here is a key section:

Epistemology is the branch of philosophy having to do with how we know things and what it means for something to be true or false, accurate or inaccurate. (Episteme, or ἐπιστήμη, is ancient Greek for knowledge/science/understanding.)

The US is experiencing a deep epistemic breach, a split not just in what we value or want, but in who we trust, how we come to know things, and what we believe we know — what we believe exists, is true, has happened and is happening.

The primary source of this breach, to make a long story short, is the US conservative movement’s rejection of the mainstream institutions devoted to gathering and disseminating knowledge (journalism, science, the academy) — the ones society has appointed as referees in matters of factual dispute.

In their place, the right has created its own parallel set of institutions, most notably its own media ecosystem.

But the right’s institutions are not of the same kind as the ones they seek to displace. Mainstream scientists and journalists see themselves as beholden to values and standards that transcend party or faction. They try to separate truth from tribal interests and have developed various guild rules and procedures to help do that. They see themselves as neutral arbiters, even if they do not always uphold that ideal in practice.

The pretense for the conservative revolution was that mainstream institutions had failed in their role as neutral arbiters — that they had been taken over by the left, become agents of the left in referee’s clothing, as it were.

But the right did not want better neutral arbiters. The institutions it built scarcely made any pretense of transcending faction; they are of and for the right. There is nominal separation of conservative media from conservative politicians, think tanks, and lobbyists, but in practice, they are all part of the conservative movement. They are prosecuting its interests; that is the ur-goal.

Indeed, the far right rejects the very idea of neutral, binding arbiters; there is only Us and Them, only a zero-sum contest for resources. That mindset leads to what I call “tribal epistemology” — the systematic conflation of what is true with what is good for the tribe.

There’s always been a conspiratorial and xenophobic fringe on the right, but it was (fitfully) held in place by gatekeepers through the early decades of America’s post-war prosperity. The explosion of right-wing media in the 1990s and 2000s swept those gatekeepers away, giving the loudest voice, the most exposure, and the most power to the most extreme elements on the right. The right-wing media ecosystem became a bubble from which fewer and fewer inhabitants ever ventured.

Trump was perfectly suited to this: a lifetime bullshitter who routinely denies facts by calling it “fake news”, and the intense tribalism of the culture war has meant his followers have gobbled it up, and never have any regrets about believing him, even when the lies are black and white (like the debasement Trump forced Spicer into in claiming he had the biggest inauguration crowd ever.)

It is a very weird dynamic, books about which are going to be written for decades.

As for the comparison with Nazi propaganda: yes there are clear comparisons, but the Trump phenomena is (I think) actually harder to understand, or to credit, so to speak. I mean, there is no doubt about the economic hardship and international punishment of Germany that led to extreme nationalist populism. You could also argue that the public was probably unsophisticated as to how propaganda works.

But in the US, the economy had already started its recovery under Obama (this is undeniable), and the idea that the country was an international laughing stock for any reason (or was undergoing “carnage”) was just a nonsense Trump invention made out of whole cloth. It’s hard to read it as anything other than a Trump projection of his own insecurities that “no one takes me seriously”, and racism and xenophobia encouraged by Bannon and Miller.

But it was never questioned by the RW media network – both for tribalistic reasons and profit.

The attitude of Trump supporters was famously described as taking him seriously, but not literally. But this type of exercise leads to literally black being allowed to be called white, and it doesn’t matter to them!

They will not admit that a Presidential candidate calling for his opponent to be locked up (and leading the chants to that) was tinpot dictator territory – plain authoritarianism. Trump should never got past that point, if the Right had any decency left. But culture warring means never having to say you’re wrong, and so his GOP opponents turned on a dime to support him. Fast forward 4 years, and a mob ransacking Congress is not a fascist attempt to impose their will on the country, but an outcome of legitimate grievance caused by the Left (because the Left rightly dismisses allegations that are plainly ridiculous – like Trump saying he won a state by “hundreds of thousands” of votes when the State election supervision was run by Republicans).

It’s really disgusting, and actually sickening to watch an Australian blog being used to promote this same dangerous bullshit.

People like you who claim to be supporters yet demand the impossible while ignoring the massive forces railed against him….were always Trump’s worst enemies…as similar people were , who in the end threw Tony Abbott under the bus to precipitate the coup of 2015.

It’s because of people like you who expect people like Trump to be able to do everything his voters asked him to do

…plus expect him to simultaneously undo all the enormous damage done to the minds of the American people over six decades of relentless Left Wing indoctrination throughout every level of the education system…

….expect him to expose the far-reaching myriad examples of Democrat….Biden….Obama…Clinton…Deep State…Big Tech…Big Finance collusion with CCP and Russia to destroy the fabric of America…while at the same time getting the wall built…trying to keep a lid on North Korea…getting unprecedented historic peace treaties done in the Middle East that almost everyone …probably including carpers like you…..said were impossible…

….because of you who carp , because you think that makes YOU look powerful…knowledgeable and effective …

…it’s because of unreasonable…unrealizable expectations of people like you and you throwing such courageous leaders under the bus when they achieve enormously but can’t satisfy you….that the Left always wins on the big issues like destroying basic rights.

You are correct about the use of this (Australian) blog to manipulate perceptions of local readers regarding the situation in the USA.
On a recent pre-Covid trip to the USA, it became starkly obvious that the bulk of Yanks thought Trump was a clown. I gave up asking the question “What do you think of your president?” after a few experiences with Uber drivers where their angry reaction made their driving unsafe.
He gained power through a fluke of the gerrymandered electoral system, and voters who couldn’t be bothered to come out and vote for Clinton.
If you consider the actual percentage of those who voted for him, they were greatly outnumbered by those who either didn’t vote or voted for Clinton, even forgetting about the fact that he lost the popular vote quite substantially in 2016.
His popularity was always a chimera, and the trajectory was set by the time the mid-terms came around, and the pattern has been consistent if you examine the popular vote figures in 2020, and most recently in the Georgia runoffs.
The irony is that the runoff process in Georgia, which was originally set up to suppress the African-American vote, has culminated in Democrat control of both houses, and now the presidency.

metro- not sure if you know, but politicians ask for our vote and in exchange ‘promise’ to do certain things and govern a certain way. once i vote, my obligation is complete. i cant let them down post the election.

the fact remains, and its not controversial, trump did not deliver on his 2016 campaign promises. no wall. no anchor babies EO, no hedge fund tax loophole closure, no action on firming up 1A protections, nothing at all on 2A and religious freedom, no clinton special counsel, obamacare nothing etc etc.

the voters werent told that effectively trump would hand over the office to his daughter and son-in-law on Jan 21 and spend the next 4yrs rage tweeting.

i’m not asking that he (and tony abbott same boat) do the impossible at all. but that he make actual full throated efforts in fullfilling his campaign promises, esp. those that were possible with an EO. why no prosecution of clinton for the obvious felony of dealing govt business on a homebrew server?? gimme a break dude. this was within his power to do. didnt need a single RINO to support him.

even till today i believe he was the man of the hour in 2016. but that doesnt mean he’s not failed as well.

It would be hard to find a more demonstrably factually incorrect and blinkered commentary than yours….and that of your other ‘solid lefty’ David Roberts.

With both of you, your tunnel vision is exposed by facts and history that you leave out in order to make a bogus claim.

It’s the ‘mainstream institutions’ that ‘society has appointed as referees in the matters of factual dispute’ …the ones you so revere…that have left reason ….facts….history…knowledge…Western Civilization behind….not conservatives in any way.

Some of us had something to do with those institutions before and after postmodernism….post-normal science….identity activist politics underpinning everything…. an engendered aversion to facts and knowledge that upended all the tenets of science and scientific practice that had underpinned all of the great breakthroughs and research of the 20th century….before all that exerted its almost complete stranglehold ….and after.

Many people were in involved in …or products of ….real education systems that produced well-rounded citizens who were fully literate and numerate with inbuilt skills and knowledge required for a lifetime of education….people who could think.

It’s your Left Wing cohort that has scrambled the brains and stunted the lives of generations of children since the drug-soaked 60s…making it possible for you to flog such pompous claims as that of Roberts with his claim that his pet institutions…infested as they all have been by the Long March of the Left through the Institutions…it’s they …the claptrappers….who must be the arbiters of factual correctness in any dispute.

What a joke. Many ‘journalists’ can’t form a sentence that’s not ambiguous .

Their highly-paid profession is one of providing truthful information and using words correctly to convey meaning…and yet many are incapable of completing that most basic task.

What are these ‘own parallel set of institutions, most notably its own media’ that conservatives are supposed to have created?

Is Roberts talking about FOX and talk radio?

FOX is the only network in America that’s not in the death grip of the Left…and if Roberts disputes that , he has never watched it .

FOX has many Left Wing Democrat regular commentators…treated with the utmost respect…their opinions heard loud and clear…and has permanent hosts who are decidedly and demonstrably of the Left.

CNN et al on the other hand…the FAKE NEWS networks …a label that’s right on the money and one that they richly deserve as they work 24/7 year in year out …with an all-LEFT stable of hosts….all-Left guests….all-Left experts…all of them knowing that they are in the bosom of a Left Wing coven where they can lie through their teeth with abandon…knowing their colleagues and management will back their lies.

We know this is true because the viewers around the world see it with their own eyes …and have seen the whistleblowers’ reports and videos that prove malevolent intent.

It’s all well and truly on the public record…

We’ve seen some of their regular Deep State ‘experts’ wantonly tell the most egregious and malicious lies on CNN …designed to bring down the Trump administration…and then …when questioned under oath in Congress or by FBI ….when their lies would put them in jail…[ except that they’re Democrats and Democrats have been placed above the law]…but when their miserable backsides are at risk they tell the truth…the absolute opposite of their television defamations and confected claims….and they don’t even give a damn that the whole world can see the massive double standard and their criminal duplicity.

When Trump called for Hillary to be locked up her lawbreaking…part of it had already been revealed by Comey when he announced that she wouldn’t be charged for it…placing her above the law…even as the Left…their sainted Obama et al…was trying to entrap General Flynn , while they themselves were colluding with Russians and rogue Deep State actors to confect a dirty dossier with which they hoped to bring down a Trump administration…in the full and complete knowledge that it was confected with help from the Russians …ie Russian collusion….and was untrue.

What did the Democrat compassionistas care that their FISA court scam would have cost innocent people everything including their freedom had it not been exposed?

No more, it turns out than ‘caring’ Hillary cared about the four Americans her militant refusal to send help ensured would die at Benghazi ….when other distraught Americans stationed nearby were begging to be allowed to go to help them….and were told to ‘stand down’.

The only claim that’s actually true in Roberts’ thesis is that these days it’s increasingly difficult…especially for children…to be able to distinguish lies from truth….such is the Left’s industrial-scale lying.

This situation didn’t just happen accidentally….it’s an engineered outcome of the post-modern claptrap and social science that poses as science ….that has virtually destroyed the education systems of many of the western democracies….and is destroying natural science itself.

Why would it be any different, when kids were told at school that facts and knowledge were pretty much dirty words…everything was fluid …nothing absolute, no matter the evidence…mantras some regurgitated when parents tried to intervene as they saw the terrible educational fallout .

The children of the Western democracies have had… and are increasingly having…their brains scrambled….with the Marxist Safe Schools scam and the ‘gender fluidity’ atrocities …in parallel with miseducation in basic literacy and numeracy.

They are trained to be activists who ACT without thinking…because that’s what the Left requires for their ends.

Parents are able to rescue some…but many fall by the wayside …another nail in the coffin of democracy.

Trump was determined to rectify this criminal situation…hence the Left’s massive determination to destroy him….at literally any cost.

You’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel to find something to criticise Trump for.

Have you forgotten the total siege he was subjected to …one that Australia’s DFAT played a large part in to our great shame…a disgrace the government has never explained it to the Australian people….probably because it’s unforgivable.

Have you forgotten that he was under attack for every moment of his Presidency…not just verbal attack…but the bogus impeachment and the totally partisan Mueller Inquiry that was established after the Deep State used as pretext…information they and the Clinton campaign had confected for the entrapment of the innocent Papadopoulos ……that Papadopoulos was tricked into revealing to DFAT ….who passed on to the FBI?

You can’t be serious when you say Trump could just bring a prosecution vs Hillary Clinton and be successful…without needing full backing from Republicans …RINOS and all…with FBI and CIA actively spying on him…colluding with Democrats…plus almost ALL MSM….plus Russians…to concoct ways to bring him and everyone connected to him down…and maybe you’ve forgotten that Trump’s own DoJ was working against him…the Att-General was playing dead on him and the Deputy was actively plotting to use the 25th Amendment to have him removed from office….with video to prove that.

Those were people he would have had to depend on.

You think Comey was going to cooperate with him…and Clapper and Brennan …and the MSM…all of whom were involved?

It’s an absolute miracle that he got anything done …and in fact he got more done than any other President in modern times.

As someone somewhere commented..’Trump is the most sinned-against POTUS in American history’….possibly apart from Lincoln.

It’s very unlikely there’ll be another like Trump in our lifetimes…..with his guts and his judgment and courage to stand up to the Socialist world…and the Great Reset.

Four years of Biden and open slather for the Democrats followed by another four or eight for Harris will see to that.

The CCP chose Biden for the Democrats…he’s their candidate …on the record…so who do you think dictator-for-life Xi will pick for Kamala’s VP…Michelle Obama?

At least …I suppose…you are open about that fact that you are just lusting for a world where Communist China rules and enslaves us all as surely as they do the Uyghers right now …a situation they’ve been laying the ground work for…for years .

I’m sure you just love your lawless Socialist Democrats who are building massive personal fortunes for their family dynasties out of selling out America’s future in return for their Chinese Communist blood money….after pleasing their benefactors by stealing the election.

Documents show that the Democrats’ incompetent and not quite there Trojan Horse ….the Communist Chinese dictatorship’s Uncle Joe…was kindly pitched to the Democrats by Communist China …when we all thought Joe was out of it in more ways than one…as China’s choice for them…a political party pretending to be American… to nominate as the Democrats’ pick for POTUS…along with the least popular candidate on the election scene…Harris…for VP.

No doubt Communist China will inform the Democrats [ in name only] when the time has come…. as they see it of course…… to put Uncle Joe out to pasture …then you can bet they already have China’s pick for Kamala’s VP at the ready….probably Michelle Obama.

In their missives they’ve told the Democrats they must keep America’s borders open… giving detail and the reasons why.

You’ll be pleased to know Hunter Biden’s CCP minder thanks him in documents now on the public record…for his kind help in embedding Communist Chinese emissaries…PLO no doubt…. in countries all over the world and assures Hunter that the millions are in the mail so to speak.

It’s just as well you let everyone know you believe it’s great too…for America’s information to be censored and curated into propaganda by Big Tech…the Deep State and assorted totalitarians …those whom ‘Society’ has appointed to ‘referee’ us as your Lefty friend opines….so that Americans would go to the election deprived of important information they needed to vote.
No doubt you enjoy the censorship that now prevails on all television news networks in Australia as well…along with all the indoctrination and gender fluidity…pronouns police and the CAGW hoax ….all those special policies that make up a formerly democratic country that’s lost its collective marbles.,,,for Global Socialism

The Thor’s Hammer amulet was worn frequently by believers as a symbol of protection- a practice so popular it continued even after most of the Norse population had converted to Christianity. In modern times, is often used as an emblem of recognition for members of the Asatru faith, and as a symbol of Norse heritage.
