Fair enough. Little xunt might kill someone if people turn up.

    Fuxk him.

  2. FlyingPigs says:

    I love Michael O’Briens retweets.

Not a brain in his head but proof of zombie liberal party of Australia scum.

  3. Tintarella di Luna says:

The Victorian oligarchy is simply uncivilised

  4. Andrew says:

    This was really sad.
The behavior of the Victorian authorities was horrific.
The family appealed the snap limits, the appeal was rejected and just like security guards it turns out no one made the decision however once made everyone stuck to it.
Meanwhile Michael Obrien needs to hang his head in shame.
He’s done absolutely nothing for this family and retweeting what happened after the fact is contemptible.
Come to think of it he’s done absolutely nothing for Victorians. Ever. He’s clearly work adverse and the idea of winning at the next election is the very last thing he ever wants.

  5. David says:

The job of rebuilding the Victorian economy will be enormous. Labor is incapable so it is up to the Liberals. Michael O’Brien should shit or get off the pot.

  6. H B Bear says:

Spare a thought because the Lieborals are of no use to you.

  7. Mark M says:

From the “you only had one job” file …

Victorian hotline tech site for making phone booking for vaccinations crashes …

    https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/may/27/victorias-hotline-for-booking-covid-vaccines-crashes-after-being-inundated-with-calls

    You couldn’t make that up.

  8. Rockdoctor says:

    Test

  9. Primer says:

O’Brien : just another Liberal UniParty Statist

  10. Mike K says:

The Guardian story sounds like the Oregon Obamacare web site. All the money spent and the web site never functioned. “Government is those things we decide to do together.”
Barney Frank 2008, just before the crash.

  11. mem says:

Why the unjustified pile on by some cats? It was a perfectly normal sentiment. If you are looking to criticize, direct your wrath at the Labor government that continues to mismanage and botch everything it touches. It’s contact tracing is an abysmal mess.

  12. Lizzi55 says:

Unfortunately, the Libs are fake opposition.
They play an important role, in the guise of opposition, in moving the Overton Window to the left.
The only people worth voting for are those that will repeal the bio security act.

  13. Primer says:

    Good one mem.
Consider that the Quisling Liberal party often burns more flesh than the marxists.
You expect 18c from the comrades, nothing unusual there, when the Liberals comply is the real charring of the spirit.

  14. Rosie says:

Did O’Brien know about it before the decision?

Did the family seek assistance from his office?

    I’d be surprised.

Still very ordinary retweeting ‘a spare a thought’.

Did O’Brien know about it before the decision?

Did the family seek assistance from his office?

The local Lib MP was on 3AW saying she had been in touch with the family on a regular basis over the last few days.
He would have had to have known about it.

  16. Farmer Gez says:

Soy Boy Sutton gave the best performance yesterday when he reprised his “I’m not directly involved position” on the boy’s funeral.
As with the private security matter, he gutlessly put the finger on unknown decision makers, who are properly independent of him, as he said.
Let’s here from these mandarins directly then, if they have such overreaching authority over life and death.

He can lock up a state but not allow more than ten at a funeral. Slimy little turd.

  17. C.L. says:

    Just to be clear…

I decided to forego the taken-as-read reaction to yet another example of Andrews Labor malice. Instead, I wanted to know what the Opposition Leader was saying and doing about it. The re-tweeted spare thought was the only reference O’Brien made to this outrage. Not even a dedicated tweet. Just a who-gives-a-shit retweet of some dude from the ABC.

  18. Rosie says:

    Cheers Leigh

    Michael is not good enough.

    We need a Bernie Finn.

  19. Up The Workers! says:

To David at 8.01 am, who said:

” Michael O’Brien should shit or get off the pot.”

It occurs to me that Michael O’Brien’s place is in the bloody pot, and not on it.

Never in the history of mankind has a man been supplied with so much free lethal ammo, and then sat on his bum and lacked the wit, the wisdom and the testicular fortitude to use any of it.

  20. Spurgeon Monkfish III says:

I wasn’t aware that O’Brien was capable of thought. No surprise that throwaway observation was re-twat.

    Well spotted, CL.

  21. mem says:

Now here is someone with the fortitude to be our next premier. https://www.michaelsmithnews.com/2021/05/thank-you-jim.html
It would be good to post this letter from Jim Penman, Jim’s Gardening Group in full.

  22. mem says:

Population of Victoria 6.06 million. Idiots at ABC are ecstatic on behalf of Dan’s government. Simple maths tells you that at this rate it will take 12 years to vaccinate everyone. Oh and everyone needs a second jab.

  23. mem says:

    re above
    21 thousand jabs yesterday.

I am not an O’Brien fan. However your targeting of him over this retweet is the lazy man’s route to attacking him. Plus you not only criticized him for something he didn’t do but have turned his retweet into something else ie “a who-gives-a-shit retweet ” when it was nothing of the kind.
PS I usually enjoy your posts.

  25. Robbo says:

Who advised O’Brien to tweet this? Even more important is did anyone on his staff tell him not to do it? Trying to achieve a political gain on the back of a tragedy is stupidity writ large.

  26. Timothy Neilson says:

Trying to achieve a political gain on the back of a tragedy is stupidity writ large.

So we should just let Labor get away with this kind of thing?

  27. Damon says:

How stupid can you be? Hunting within 5km of your home? Maybe ferals?
“Outdoor activities that can be undertaken without accessing a facility, such as hunting, are permitted within the 5km and 2 hour limits”.

  28. Rohan says:

CL, on the eve of LockDan 3.0, the only facechook post O’Brien had was of him opening a cricket practice net that day, in a club located in his seat of leafy inner suburbia. That’s all the energy he could muster, cutting a ribbon at a club 5 minutes drive from his home.

    Fucking pathetic.

This crop of gormless insipid centre-left tosspots, is entirely Kroger’s legacy.

  29. Lee says:

Soy Boy Sutton gave the best performance yesterday when he reprised his “I’m not directly involved position” on the boy’s funeral.
As with the private security matter, he gutlessly put the finger on unknown decision makers, who are properly independent of him, as he said.

In Victoria, the CHO (Sutton) and the premier apparently never make decisions or bear responsibility.
This sad case and last year’s hotel security guard fiasco are proof of that.
Why are they in their jobs then?

  30. AH says:

The Liberals should announce that all fines for breaching ALP lock downs will be be waived once they win the next election. That would be the first step. Anything less than this makes them complicit.

  31. The BigBlueCat says:

Michael O’Brien should have expressed outrage at the heartless decision made by faceless Government nobodies and their masters. It was in Warrnambool where there was zero risk, yet Sutton talks about equity. Disgusting and disgraceful from both sides.

  32. Timothy Neilson says:

Michael O’Brien should have expressed outrage at the heartless decision made by faceless Government nobodies and their masters.

Agreed, though I’d add two provisos:
    (a) don’t be too certain he hasn’t – just because the media haven’t reported it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen;
    (b) if he did the only reports we’d ever get on it from ABC/Fairfax/trolls on this site would be “boo hoo, politicising a tragedy…”, so query how much good it would have done politically. (Yes I know, he should do it anyway because it’s the right thing to do – just, sayin’, though.)

  33. Rockdoctor says:

And Sutton removed. Incidentally Avi Yemini stuck it to VicPol on a vid I saw today, there’s another area to flag a clean out including the obese Sargeant that gave him attitude.

so he’s obviously ‘concerned’ about retaining his purist ‘blue check’ privileges if the only public ‘word’ he has posted on twitter is an asinine retweet.

    piss poor.
